Clean park and the sites are pretty level being concrete and blacktop. Most sites are full to partly shaded. Wide and easy parking for your rig and a toad. Park is fairly quiet with the exception of the car was next to the park. Best sites are at the back of the park around the corner. Would stay here again.
An old time desert RV park. Typical sand sites and level. Staff very efficient and nice. We stayed in a 36" RV with a jeep in tow. We were able to park in a pull thru with ease. Big rigs should be able to get in with an experienced driver. Shop beforehand as there isn't anything to walk to. Would stay here again. Very quiet!
The park was easy in and out, close to I-40. It's behind a truck stop/travel store. Noise wasn't too bad. Sites were gravel and level. Friendly staff with small store with basic food supplies. Easy walk to travel store if anything else needed. Owners are drone-friendly too!
Very friendly staff, efficient and quickly lead us to our site. Level gravel sites, not a lot of flash, very quiet. Not much around to walk to for restaurants or shopping, so do that ahead of time. Easy to fine. Great 1 night stay and would stay here again.
We stay at Destiny whenever we come to town for an extended stay of 1 to 3 months. The showers and bathrooms are always kept clean. Landscaping is nice with fresh herbs too! Friendly stafff.Lots of shade. The park is a mix of snowbirds, permenant residents, and montly stays. Call ahead as the park does fill up quite frequently.
Good park and will stay here again! Friendly staff. Pulling in looked interesting going up a small rise; however, the 6 overnight spots are gravel and level. Nice DVD selection available for check out. The trains roll by but nothing that would wake or bother even a light sleeper. Easy to find.
We stayed one night while traveling. Very quiet considering right off I-20. Sites are gravel and level. We checked in after hours, paperwork was ready and site location was easy. Park was very clean and well maintained. We have a 36' RV pulling a 12' bike trailer with a second driver in a jeep. It wasn't a problem fitting into our pull-through. We would stay again.
Website price said $29 actual was $33. They say pull through sites which is true; however, only if your about 25 ft. You have to unhook your tow vehicle as it will hang out in the road. Most modern pull throughs will accommodate 38~40ft rigs with tow vehicles or trailers. Bottom line way to short. Sites are gravel and fairly level. Internet was very slow and would lose connect every 15 minutes. If you're in a 5th wheel you will have to unhook. We where not the only disappointed customers. Will look at other options when in the area.
They have not updated their price increase of $38 on the website. Tengo internet is horrible. Shade in most areas, gravel sites, fairly level. This is an older park so don't get excited about being on the river. It's actually a small muddy creek. They have several long term sites, but they keep them to the north side of park. Friendly staff. They had just closed for the day when we arrived; however, one of the staff saw us pull in and easily explained the after hours check in . For the $2 difference in price, I would try the newer park south of town.
Friendly family park. If you pull in late, just pick a spot and hook up. There wasn't anything posted outside of the office, but if you call ahead they will tell you the same thing. Not very shaded in most of the park considering it was an old pecan orchard. Met our needs for an overnight stay and would stay again.
Nice, quite, clean park. We have stayed monthly this year and in 2012 with reasonable rates. The family is honest and takes great pride in their park. Good laundry facilities, and my husband loves the model field. We even had a park garage sale!
Great staff and clean park with laundry facilities. We have stayed here a few times and always wished that our timing would allow a longer stay. 2 pull through sites and many long back in sites. Would stay here again!
Nice park and easy to find. Steep entrance with an off camber turn. Sites are clean with picnic tables; some trees but not mature enough for shade. Not all sites are level. The trick to the trash bins is lift the top, they are hinged. Staff is pleasant and helpful.
Lake Dallas is a home base for us. Whenever we are in town we choose to stay here. Destiny has very clean bath houses and laundry facilities. Lots of trees, and sites are mostly level. Tango internet is horrible and is the only downside of this park. New management in 2013 is great. Many friendly, long term and seasonal campers.
