The best part of this campground, besides being only $16/night for full hook-ups, is the owners. They were very friendly and helpful. They are newer owners looking and visiting with the campers to get ideas on ways to improve the campground. There are alot of small trees growing, but not full shade trees yet. Some sites have phone and cable hook-ups also.
We really enjoyed this campground. The sites were well spaced, mostly shaded, some were lakeside. This campground had a very scenic view of the bluffs on the Missouri River! On the far end of the campground is the city park with a nice sandy beach area for swimming, a nice playground, fishing and boat launch, and more nice views. There was also a bike trail/walking trail that went along the riverside and to the uptown which was only about 4 blocks away. I enjoyed this campground so much, I would go out of my way to stay here again.
This campground is very overpriced. The brochures put in the visitor centers have, in my opinion, false advertising. They have the Good Sam's logo on the front of the brocheres, but in the Trailer Life Directory it is not a Good Sam's Campground. There is no pool, the play area had the frame work, but no swings hanging from it. The play area was also right next to a VERY busy main street. Campers were VERY close to each other. It had 8 pull throughs for big-rigs and you would be lucky to be able to open your awnings.
