Very friendly staff. Quiet setting with lots of trees. Sites were average to large size. Pool was clean. Gravel sites are pretty level. I had to use a 1" board under one side to level up. Only down sides to this campground would be narrow road in and out and extra charges for more than 2 people (extra $2 per child per night).
Roads to and in the campgrounds are narrow. Full hook up sites are mostly in full sun and are very narrow. Your neighbor's awning most likely will be touching your slide. If you can live without sewer hook-up, there are some pretty nice, wide shaded sites. As previously reported, lots of kids running unsupervised, not watching traffic, on bikes, 4-wheelers, golfcarts, etc. Campgrounds were clean and the staff friendly.
Rate varies by site. We paid $40 (midweek) for 30amp with concrete pad. Price goes up to $45 for 50amp and down to $35 for 30amp gravel. Prices increase by $5 for weekend and holidays. Roads are good, but a bit narrow, which makes for some precision backing. Lots of golf carts running around, but you cannot bring your own. You have to rent theirs if you want one. Most of the campground is shaded except for a handful near the pool. WiFi worked great. I would have given a little higher rating, but I think this place is a bit overpriced. I guess they can get awaywith that since they are the only camprgound here and right nest to HolidayWorld amusement park.
Staff was very friendly and willing to help in any way. Do not count on internet/wifi connection. Very slow and many interruptions. Staff said it was being addressed, but was not while I was there for a week. All gravel sites and crowded together. Pool, putt-putt, playground, and a hot tub for adults. Nightly movies, too. Monthly rates are available at $400 plus electric. for 2 people. $25 per extra person.
Made reservation online. Did not like the site once I saw it. The girl in the office gave me a list of all available site and told me to let her know which I took. The "gravel pad" sites have been grass seeded over. Stayed in the lower campground. The lower area is not very big rig friendly, but it is possible. Bathrooms and shower were great. Right next to Mackinac Bridge ($5 for 2 axel trailer) and only a mile from the shuttles to Mackinaw Island. Well maintained. Prices are $22-$24 plus you have to have or buy Mich S.P. window decal for each vehicle(s) - $24 for annual resident, $29 annual non-res. OR purchase by the day. Very friendly staff.
Office closes at 7pm. wiFi available at or near the office. Over half the sites were grass. No pad of any kind. This will make for an absolute nightmare in wet weather. The grass sites were not easy to distinguish where one ended and the other started. As with most KOAs, the price seemed a bit high, but in line with other KOAs. Lots of freeway noise if you are on the north half (grassy) area of the grounds. It was neat and well kept.
