We have now stayed here four times within the last 2 years. This is by far the nicest park we have been in. Very clean, new amenities, and friendly staff. Level, concrete pads with free laundry. We make this a must stop when passing through on I-40.
This is a nice park, with the exclusion of two items that caused us not to want to return. The first was the dirt/dusty road that seems to go on forever to get here. Everything was covered by a thick layer of dust when we arrived. The next was that they charge $2.00 a day if someone wants to come visit, ( not stay overnight). Our daughter and granddaughters came to visit, and it cost us each day they came.
Stayed here on the way home to New Mexico, and was pleasantly surprised to find a first class RV park just outside of Amarillo. Level, Concrete sites, spacious so no others are on top of you. Modern amenities. A must stay if you like quality for a fair price.
This is typical of the KOA campgrounds. They are old, and not equipped to handle the modern RV's. The sites are very small, and narrow. We have a 38' motorhome, and couldn't open both slides due to the narrow site. You can tell that this park was build along time ago when no one had slides, and equipment was smaller. I thought that paying $53 a night was like highway robbery. Until they improve this park, they should be ashamed to charge that when compared to other parks who had more to offer, and level, good sized lots.
