The camp was neat, sites large, and the area around is great. The only annoyance was having to pay $6.00 for a visitor that I said would be in camp less than an hour and would use NO facilities. He just wanted to see our RV and have a snack. But the gentleman (?) in the office insisted on taking the money and said he would refund if the guest left sooner. The annoyance was that he would not take me at my word and then displayed a poor attitude. But I want to stress that other than that, this is a good place.
Very pretty campground with very nice sites and friendly helpful staff. Why an 8 and not a 10?? Simple reason is there was a lot of noise until deep into the A.M. on weekend nights.
This campground is spectacular. The views are outstanding, the facilities clean, and the staff is extremely courteous. Hilton Head island is a truly beautiful place to visit. I would go there again without any hesitation.
We spent 6 nights at the camp, and thought that the overall experience was terrible. Foremost was their assertion that they have WIFI. They do, but only in a central location and then you need extreme luck to log in. When we complained the staff was extremely discourteous, and when we asked about a refund for the unused days, they simply stated that the managers were not available. Sites are crampred, There are strong odors in the campground. Pine Island is a long ride to most places in the Ft Myers area. On the positive side the "regular" long-termers did seem to have a lot to do. Avoid this place if enjoying the Ft Myers area is your intent.
This is a very good campground. Staff is helpful and courteous. Facilities are very pretty. The restrooms are among the best we have seen. There is a small on-site restaurant / tavern which is handy. WIFI is central on their porch area. The only drawback is that Ft Pierce is a good place with Hutchinson Island beaches, but not Florida's best destination.
