This park had just been purchased by the new owner and it was apparent he really cared. He was trying to make it a nice park, and we would stay again to see the improvements. We appreciated his pride and effort. The sites were large and easy in and out. Extremely windy this night. There are no wind blocks, but this is something he wanted to change. We were comfortable here. It was quiet. No restaurants around. Average park, nothing special just yet.
For overnight, this was a nice park. It's far enough off the interstate to be quiet, behind the Phillips 66 station and down a long road. But you can see the interstate. Our site was big and roomy. The lady that checked us in also took us to our site. She did it all...and was friendly. We felt comfortable and at home here. There was a storm that night and the neighbor that lived there came to check on us. Upon leaving the road was muddy, but we got out with no problem. We would stay here again.
This park was packed with live ins. A few traveler sites were available. We almost had to unhitch our vehicle to pull out because the site was so narrow. The roads are narrow also. You can hear the interstate traffic all night; even with A/C running. Without going too far from the freeway, this was one of the few places to stay, but we will try to avoid having to stay here again. The restaurant is 1/2 mile away. We walked there. The food was terrible. We didn't eat our dinners. But the "world famous cinnamon rolls" were truly amazing.
NOISE! This park is free for RV's parked in the first couple rows. There are no hookups - just parking. The parks are scarce through this part of the interstate and the ones we found we would not stay in. So we parked here. We would stop here for the shops, but never stay here again. Trucks coming in and out all night could not be muffled even with our generator and A/C running. Very loud. The restaurant serves canned/boxed/frozen food. Nothing fresh or from scratch. But the breakfast rolls were great if you get in early (5AM). We were awake anyway.
About two miles off the interstate, very easy in and out. We have a 40 foot RV plus towing a vehicle and we barely fit in the site given. But, it was a beautiful park. There's a dike behind the park with walking trail that goes on for miles. We saw wildlife there. Friendly staff. Quiet. We would stay here again. Twelve minutes to the exit for Mt. Saint Helens. Lovely!
Nice park. Well maintained. Family pride. They could prune trees a bit better, as one in our site scratched our paint a little. But the sites were level, gravel. Barely long enough for our 40' rig plus tow car. Pull-throughs. Easy in/out. We would stay again in Wyoming. No good parks east of this one until Little America.
Fantastic park! Easy in and out. Clean, well maintained. Beautiful rock sights, concrete slab picnic areas at each site. Large and roomy. Quiet. Paved roads, level. Great staff. We have stayed six times and will always go back when traveling I-84.
