What a wonderful park. We originally planned to stay for a couple weeks. We ended up staying for almost six!! This is a no-frills park. No playground, no meeting rooms, no dog park (but a municipal hike/bike trail literally bisects it). Those things are not useful for us so we were glad to not be paying for them. A perfect park for us with its location, views. concrete pads, Wi-Fi, and cable TV. It has easy access to the rest of the city and all Asheville has to offer. The way it sits on the banks of the French Broad river in a valley keeps wind to a minimum and highway noise is very low. The river edge was about 15 feet out our back window. The way the park is oriented you would never think you were in an urban setting. Were I to own an RV park, I would want this one or one just like it. We cannot wait to return. The restrooms/showers were closed for the winter but that was no problem as we use our own. This is going to be one of our favorite parks, I can tell. Be sure to say "Hi!" to Tony and give Cooper, his dog, a pat on the head.
We have stayed here a few times. For a no-frills park, you can't beat this one. Clean, friendly, and full-hookups. We really like the owner. Cody is a very expensive area. Considering that, this park is a real bargain. We will stay here again.
We stayed here on our maiden voyage in our new RV. We've been full-time for the past 6 years. Very nice park! Clean and friendly. There was a big early-season snow storm on October 3rd. Due to the unexpected cold, the park decided to shut the water off and purge the lines in order to avoid freeze damage. We filled our fresh tank and all was well. Sewer, Electric, Wi-Fi, and cable all remained on. AND - they refunded us $20 off our four day stay! Way to go Ponderosa. We'll tell everyone and we will be back!!
