This used to be a great campground but has really want down hill during the last year. It has becoming difficult to navigate due to lack of tree trimming and their electric power only produces between 105 and 110 volts, and therefore, no power. This should be listed as primitive camping only. Won't stay here again until they take care of their maintenance problems.
We have a Federal Parks pass, so rate was 1/2 off. There are only 5 sites with 50 amp, and is on a first come basis, no reservations. Sites are shady and there is a view of the lake from all sites. Will stay here again. Great value. Swim, fish and boat in the lake. Has boat dock.
Very nice campground for small RVs, TTs, and tents but not good when you are here in a 40 foot motorhome. 30 amp power only, no water or anything else. Also, the camp stalls are set up backwards so you cannot use your awing and your outside living area is on the utility side of your camper. This park is best for tents and tent campers so you can set up facing either direction. Would not stay here again.
This is a great campground. No pool but a very large hot tub and community fire pit with lots of wood. Fun to sit out with other campers and watch the fire. This is not a resort but more like State and Federal campground which are more fun. Close to a lot of attractions; example one: 8 mile to the entrance of Pikes Peak
Would not try this one ever again. I made reservations for 50 amp but when I got there he said all the 50 amps were taken. I tried the 30 amp, which has always worked in the past, but at this park when drawing only 10 amps I was only getting 100 volts. In the interest of not loosing all of my electrical equipment I told the owner and he said it was the best he could do and that it was alright if I went some place else. Later that day I found that he had charged my credit card $25 and was not going to give me a refund. I the interest of saving your expensive equipment don't stay here.
We stayed here for 8 night and really enjoyed the park. We had stall 27 which is on the river and I think to be the the best in the park. Would stay here again. The only problem was the Cottonwood trees. Someone with great wisdom planted seeded Cottonwoods so stay out of site 11 through 14.
This campground is high priced even at the $20 per night passport rate. At the full price of $40, I would not stay there. No bathrooms, no showers, no nothing but a small gravel area at a small motel for RVs to park. The good thing is that there is a lot to see in this area so we spent very little time at the campground.
This is a great campground. Quiet, very clean and the owners are very friendly and willing to help the campers with their needs. The location is great for sightseeing and as we drove around the area we looked at a lot of the other campgrounds but none were as nice.
