Very nice facility close to Sea World. $44 rate was Good Sam discount for six people. Great pool, exercise room, great staff. Easy access to sites, with a few of them shaded by trees. Take advantage of the free shuttle to Sea World, and save $10 parking.
State park camping - good space, some trees and shade. Most sites are not on lake front. Concessionaire has bait shop, boat rentals, groceries, ice, and snacks. Great hiking trails, climbing area. Not to be missed is the nightly programs at the amphitheater. Bring your chairs for a free evenings entertainment. When we were there, cowboy poetry, history of the area, music were on the program.
Nice park for quick weekend getaway. Park has no in-park concession for ice, boat rental, groceries, etc. so be prepared, or drive to town about 15 miles away. Great hiking/mountain biking trails, mostly quiet with large spaces for each campsite, many which are on the lakefront.
We stayed here overnight on our way through. Nice, level pull through, although the overnighters aren't near the lake. Overnight pull thrus have little or no shade. However, they have a nice camp store, propane, ice, etc. All you need when just passing by.
Awesome state park. Many sites are right on the lake, others nearby. Most sites reserved in advance, but we were able to drive onto one within 100 yards of water (midweek). Plenty of hiking trails in the park. Marina for launch or rentals very close. Swimming beach was great with sandy shores with nearby trees. Highly recommended.
Great place, great RVing. Camp C or D are the places to be (on the water). Clean, hot showers. Marina with boat launch and rentals, hiking trails, nice beach for swimming. Will definitely return when I'm in the area.
