We have been camped here for 4 years and loved it so much we got a waterfront seasonal site for the past 2 years. Owners are great people. They keep the campground and facilities clean and inviting. One of the previous posts stated that they don't entertain children. They do have a playground, baseball field, salt water pool, a beach on one of the ponds, basketball court, game room w/pool table, 3 ponds for fishing on campground, large guest lounge w/gorgeous rustic fireplace. The owners leave it up to the parents to plan the everyday entertainment with their children. On summer weekends they set up different types of entertainment for both parents and children at the main lodge. All the campers we speak with have a great time. Close by there is fishing, boating, hiking, antique shops close by in PA, NY and NJ. All campgrounds get a loud group from time to time. If noise is excessive and you let the owners know of this, they do take care of it and I have heard of the owner having a camper leave because of excessive noise during quiet hours.
This review is 1 week before closing for the season. Roadway/driveway into campground was dirt/stone mixture with potholes you had to maneuver around for the first 100 ft.. CG owner escorted us to a shaded riverfront site we had reserved. Tree branches were trimmed back from road giving clearance. Once situated owner asked if we wanted wood for campfire, we ordered 2 bundles expecting the usual amount of wood. To our surprise when he returned there was 4-5 bundles worth of split loose wood. Campground was kept clean. There were just a handful of campers when we were there. Hubby had fun fishing the river from site. This campground is in an excellent location for fishing, views of the river and the mountains with fall colors right from the site. The electrical was a challenge…didn’t throw any breakers, but had to be careful when microwave or stove vent was used. Has me thinking that this wasn’t 30 amp service. The water hook up was a bit rusted where water leaked from hose. With our water tank more than half full we had plenty to survive. As I said before, this campground is in a great location for what hubby and I were looking for and the CG owners were great. We definitely will return.
We were very happy to come upon this campground and next trip will stay here again. The rest rooms were very clean and well maintained. The beach front site was fantastic. Diner in cg had excellent food and large quantity. Children playing along beach and fishing enjoying themselves. Owners very helpful.
We stayed here for a week vacation. CG was nice, there were a lot of great seasonals! Very few trees in our area for shade. Good size sites but close in the rear area of the site to others. Was ok to travel to Cooperstown. This campground was ok.
We stopped here New Years Eve on our way back home. We had no problems with the owners. CG was very clean. Had fun in the game room, yes there were cameras watching you, but that is probably why the pool tables and games were in nice condition. The site we had A2 had well grown trees on both sides of the site that made it slightly difficult to back in without a couple people guiding you. With the bypass just behind the CG had traffic noise.
Made reservations on May 1st for 4th of July weekend. We have stayed here before so I explained the site we would like to have. When we arrived and saw the site, which was in the midst of tents, cabins and the view from the back of the sight was the store/laundry/bathroom. A tree was cut down that would have prohibited us to pull down road. Still the roadway was very tight and trees along roadway would have been very difficult to maneuver a 34' motorhome into. Huge black mark on KOA record. Didn't like the site or view, demanded a refund, looked at our Woodall's and found a great campground west of them.
We came across this campground when KOA Newburgh messed up on a booking we made 2 months earlier. We cancelled with full refund and looked at our Woodall's. Sweet lady took us in and put us in the Oak's section. Staff was very friendly. Security checking sites quite often. I agree with previous post, a bit steep of a hill, but was managed with a 34' and tow. Site was thick grass, very spacious, clean and level. For the 4th of July it was nice, all showed respect to thy neighbor and all neighbors were fabulous. We had a fantastic 5 day getaway. This place is a keeper.
This is nice park with canoe rentals for the Delaware River. We had a site by the playground which was fantastic for our grandson to play and easy for us to watch him. I didn't notice any planned activities for children but that didn't matter he enjoyed himself and got lots exercise and fresh air. Some sites are tight we just fit in ours with the awning extended out. As tight as it was we still had our privacy. Small problem with neighbors negligence with their dog (barking all day). Campground owners took care of that promptly. Their pamphlet says it will not allow pitbulls, dobermans, or rotties. There is a boat ramp if you want to bring your boat. We had no problems at night with noise or during the day considering the playground right behind us. They were very well organized in getting you into the grounds and out of the grounds. Always someone there to help you especially at the end of our visit with the dump station. We all had a great time. We plan on returning in a few weeks.
Nice campground. Employees patrolling often. They have a pool and hot tub and wide sites. Grounds and pool are very well maintained. Nice playground for children. We had a beautiful view of the lake from our site. Stayed only 4 nights. Definitely a keeper.
Campground and their pool was nicely maintained. New owners are absolute sweethearts very helpful. We stopped just for the night and it was a very peaceful experience. We want to stop here again in our travels to check out the points of interest in the area.
We stayed here for 2 nights to recuperate from driving long distance. It was quiet but busy. People stopping in for night and gone early next morning. Was not disturbed by any noise. Don't use the laundry room. It was absolutely clean and updated but had sulfur in the water. Stained some clothes and smelled horrible. The drinking water we had no problem with. For an overnighter I'd stop here again but will not use their laundry facilities again.
We stayed here in a class A motorhome. Sites are a spacious 50' wide. Many branches overhanging roadway. Seasonal people (about 10 trailer homes worth), very loud and at times screaming, playing very loud music (great bass tube), all at 1 o'clock in the morning. Very disrespectful. The campground owners were very sweet. They moved us to another site across from the pool apoligizing for the noise. We would not stay there again.
