A members only park. RV parking is behind the lodge. There are many RV's in storage here (15 or so). The 5 transient spaces might be reservable with a phone call, though the Elks RV book doesn't indicate this. The book indicates a 2 week maximum stay; however, during our visit there were 3 rigs here with over a month in the same spot. We saw one other rig spend 1 night during our 5 night stay. It would appear that the lodge is flexible for whatever a person needs. Shopping is nearby.

A well kept and peaceful state park. Full hookups with 50 amp power. In October during our visit only about 6 other campers in the park. The lake is apparently low much of the time so the boat launches are at your risk. Close to freeway, you'll hear the noise when you're outside. Picnic table and cover at most sites.

A members only park. No host on site at the time of our visit. Long pull-through spaces which become back in spaces when the lot is half full. Easy access for largest rigs (we're 63' w/toad) Plenty of grassy area for kids or pets. Near all types of shopping, restaurants, and fuel. Another fine example of Elks hospitality.

An area for Elks members only. Nice spaces with grassy areas. Has Camp Host at times. Water is turned off at end of season when freezing is expected. Water is always available at Lodge, to the right of the entrance. Dump on site for members. Some concern if you leave your toad in the parking lot rather than at your RV. RR at bottom of hill but we did not hear it at night. Activities at lodge included football Sunday when we were there.

A members only park. Clean and well maintained. Friendly check in by bartender. Nice overview of the city and valley from your easy chair. My GPS shows the address in the middle of the freeway. Keep driving and you'll find the lodge 1/4 mile up the hill. No freeway noise at the parking area. Another fine example of Elks hospitality.

There was nothing special about this park. Check in service was mediocre bordering on poor. We arrived at noon and check in is 1:00. We were told this at least 3 times as we waited for them to complete other busy work (one person was folding brochures, one was assigning sites to internet reservations) before we were allowed to check in. Sites are minimally adequate in width for a large rig w/4 slides. GARBAGE IS PICKED UP BETWEEN 0530 AND 0700 EVERY DAY!!! (including Sunday) If you are in the park you will hear them bang the dumpsters. We happened to be assigned a space directly in front of one dumpster. It was LOUD. We could also hear them dump the next closest dumpster down the street. I complained and was brushed off. I filled out the "how was your visit" e-mail and got a form letter back saying they are looking into my complaint. 30 days afterwards I've still heard nothing else. We will not return.

A members only park. Near the top of the hill with golf course attached. Host on site. Sewer dump in parking lot. Steak night is Wed. and Fish night on Fri. Very quiet and peaceful location. Near town for any shopping you need to do. This is a regular stop for us, we spend 3-7 days every time.

A clean and nice place to stop. Under new management when we stopped this year. Be sure to double check your GPS and get off the freeway at the right exit. A few years ago our unit wanted us to get off and take a 20 mile trip the wrong way. The web site has the correct exit listed. It is a regular stop for us. You'll enjoy it too.

An Elk Member only site. Six back in sites on the edge of the golf course. A little unlevel and a swale to back over. When you look at it you'll wonder if your rig can back in and get out again. My 43' rig did fine. Caretaker advised he was "turning off utilities" at end of week for the winter. Lodge and golf clubhouse is up the hill from the RV parking area. DO NOT DRIVE UP THE HILL! Friendly check in. Quiet and peaceful at night.

An Elks member only park. An excellent place to stay. Parking on grass which looks like it may be soft when very wet. It was dry when we've been here (3 times) so I haven't seen wet first hand. An extremely friendly club with golf course attached. The absolute best prime rib dinner. If you can be here on the last Wed. of the month it is fork tender.

A space for members only. Friendly staff. Easy parking with large lot. Parked against edge of lot with only one other MH. Close to restaurants, auto parts, and other shopping.

A fine offering for Elks members. Paved lot is next to lodge building. Spaces are striped out and with slides out on both sides my coach I use every inch of the space between the lines. Electric is 30 amp only and has had some work since last year, but needs more. Some outlets were not working when we were here. Lodge is near downtown area but in residential/quiet setting so no highway noise. An excellent overnight stop or spend a couple of days and scout the town. The river is nearby with parks and daytime activity.

Although some listings say this park is in Apache Junction it is another 10 miles or so east of there. If you are looking to use it as a spot for Spring Training games, it is just too far for comfort. Spaces are wide with concrete pads. Cal Am charges seperately for garbage service and sewer/water service (no option to not have either service, you will pay) as well as electricity for month long stays or more. There are two dog parks, the one by the entrance near where our space was is all gravel, no grass. There is only one sign, partially covered by shrubery telling where the check-in is if the guard isn't at the entrance. Trees hang over the roadway and the check-in parking, they seem not to be concerned about trimming them. Another oddity is the cash/checks only payment policy. For large parks this seems odd. We did enjoy each space having a garbage can so no walks to the garbage. With a few minor changes this park would be a great place to just get away for a while if you were only going to the Phoenix metro area once or twice. 28 miles to Tempe city limits is a long drive. Goodyear ballpark, Peoria etc... is over an hour drive each way.

An Elks only RV park with parking on slightly tilted asphalt. Easy leveling, just not dead flat. Sites are around edge of parking lot and have a slight wedge shape. Most are wide enough for all but the biggest rigs. Our 43' 4 slide goes to the painted lines on both sides. During our stay there were enough empty spaces to park every other site and have plenty of room between rigs. Host on site. Another fine Elks member benefit.

An Elks lodge RV park for members only. Large level lot with gravel. Average spacing between rigs. Dump on site, wheeled cart (blue boy) available for dumping without moving. Near Legoland. Host on site. Near shopping, 1 mile to beach.

An Elks lodge RV park that allows non-members access and takes reservations. Parking is on dirt/gravel on a level lot. Large covered picnic area for groups. Laundry available at lodge building. Narrow sites for rigs with slides on both sides you are only 4 feet from your neighbor when his slides are extended. Big rigs should watch for dragging turning into lodge coming from the north. Host on site.

A corporate run park with some interesting policies. We spent a month here so we had to submit photocopies of our insurance and vehicle registration as well as sign for the 23 page, printed on both sides "rules". Which basically say they will decide on what the rules are and when to enforce them. Blatant violations of the rules abound, apparently they don't enforce them? The spaces are wide but our 43' MH had the mirrors hanging in the roadway with the back end against the shrubs in their 47 foot space. Narrow roadways on most sections. After 6 pm gate code changes on 1st of month, be sure to get the new one if you stay during the change. Beware of ants. Spray all your RV openings to avoid infestations. This is also emphasized in the rules book. I'll try another park when I come through again.

Sites available for the type of camping you want. Dry, W&E only w/dump on site, or full hookup. Be aware the trees in the FH area may block satellite TV reception. Busy with most FH spots taken during Thanksgiving week. Plenty of open spots both before and after. Groceries, fuel, movie theater, Costco, within a couple miles.

RV sites on edge of lodge parking lot. 8 are suitable for pull in parking so you face an area of grass and trees. The rest of the spots are back in suitable for shorter rigs (less than 30' only) Standard Lodge amenities available, bar, etc. Town is nearby including the very first A&W restaurant. A pleasant stay for us.

Unpaved dirt on back side of parking lot. Some road noise from freeway nearby. Property adjoins the cemetery next door. Parking lot is also used for tree trimming business trucks and equipment. They are pretty good at keeping their noise to a minimum even though they start before 0700. Common Elks club amenities available, bar etc. Bingo some months. 7 night limit.

Another fine Elks Lodge RV park. Plenty of room for largest rigs. Gravel lot. City park behind RV park with plenty of room for walking or just looking at the grass. Stores and restaurants nearby. Normal Elks amenities, Bingo on Mondays.

Everything has probably already been said about this park. It is quiet, has the amenities and caters to your needs whether you are there for a day or a month. Discounts for GS and for their players club cards. Shuttle to casino and restaurants. It's a 10.

This club is in an industrial part of town. After 5 pm the area closed up and had virtually no noise. Businesses open at 0700 with their accompanying noises. Paved lot with maneuvering room for big rigs. (I'm 43') Easy driving to restaurants and shopping. Normal Elks Lodge amenities. On site black water dump with odd rules about dumping. Ask in advance to see when you can or can't dump.

Dirt lot behind lodge. Hookups are adequate but several large rigs at the same time will make close quarters. Some small trees narrow the sites. Town is close by. The large bright glow to the northeast is a solar steam plant providing steam to the many oil wells nearby. It's well worth the 5 mile drive to see the set up.

Our second visit to this park which will be an annual event for us. We enjoyed the park very much last year and are back again. 2 week limit in 30 days is the only reason we're not here for a month. Park staff was very friendly. Made reservations online for site and ranger did not even want us to get out of rig. He made us passes, handed them through the window and said have a nice day. No daily fee on top of camping fee which is very nice.

Newer looking park on a level area of ground well outside of town, right near the freeway, very convenient. Very friendly staff, guided us to our site in her new Mercedes. I've been guided in by a lot of golf carts, a few pickups, some vans, but never by an S430 before. A little dusty but all the other campers seemed to understand and drive appropriately. The back row seemed to be for transient campers. All the spots were full by dark, all were empty by 10 the next morning when we left. Good utility hookups. We will stay here again when in the area.

A nice park away from the main roads. Right against the mountains with trails for rock collecting. You are allowed 15 pounds of rock per day to take away. Beautiful view out over the valley below. Another popular state park where reservations are suggested. We got the last spot in the group area w/ water and 30 amp power. People coming in behind us had only dry camping available. Excellent assistance from park host finding a spot and getting situated. Neighbors had difficulty with electricity and maintenance was there and checking out the problem in just a few minutes. A very nice spot to spend a day, a week or a month. We will stop here again when we're in the area.

Indifferent staff checked us in. Our site was a little narrow but we had no one on either side so we didn't feel squeezed. If the park had been full it would have been too close. The Park is close to town, construction on freeway is right at exit to park and construction company's staging area is on other side of park boundary wall. They start work at 0600, ask me how I know. There are well marked areas where pets are not allowed. Staff seemed very concerned about exactly what breed of dog we had, French Bulldog, and then when we drove by the onsite living quarters there's a pit bull in their area. What's up with that? OK for an overnight stop, but I certainly wouldn't spend a week or a month here. Portions of the park seem to be long term campers with all the normal amounts of outside storage, RV's last washed last century, etc.

A well laid out RV park with full hookups and maybe as many as 200 "cabins" around the area also. Easy in and out with plenty of width to the streets. Not well marked from the highway. Turn at the RV sign and keep going back and back and back to finally reach the registration parking area and then around the retention pond "lake" to the RV parking area. Registration personnel are all waiting for quitting time. You are the one millionth customer today and you're taking up their time. Shuttle to the casino is free and often, buffet is average. Grass next to asphalt parking spot will get very soggy during rainstorms which we had during our visit. We wanted to stay an extra week over New years eve, but were advised by the website that no spots were available. We checked during the week we were there and it said no spots were available then either, but the park always had at least 25 open spaces the entire week. Registration personnel advised that they cannot make reservations, the website is the only way. We will come here again if we are in the area, but I'll be gritting my teeth when I register to keep from explaining customer service to people who don't care about it.

Very nice park, busy on holidays, no room for us to stay on thanksgiving weekend. We spent a week and left wanting to stay longer. The area by the river is well maintained and very beautiful during our stay in November with the leaves changing color. Texas State Park, be aware of daily fees in addition to camping fees.

Friendly staff. Asked if we wanted to be near other campers or away which was nice. Hunting was scheduled for that weekend which did not hinder us in any way. Nice overview of the reservoir which is almost empty. The boat launches are more than a quarter mile from the edge of the water. It was still nice now, will be nicer when the dought is over and the water returns. We planned on 2 nights, then extended our stay because we enjoyed it so much here. We bought the annual Texas Parks pass for $70. Otherwise it can be as much as $7 per person, per day, plus camping fees, depending on the Texas park you are in.

Nice layout, fairly new looking facility. Registration is inside casino/motel at registration desk and they are not at all in tune with RV's. There are no discounts for GS, FMCA etc. We were there on last day of the month and could only stay one night because they were scheduled to turn off water in 2/3 of park on Nov 1 and only leave one line of sites active for the winter. Those sites were full, so there was no place for us to stay another night. When asked if dry camping was permitted we were told no, those spots were closed for the season and we couldn't stay. Buffet inside was sparse and poorly refilled. If I happened thru here again I'd probably keep on driving.

Just an average park. Average width of spaces, decent fenced dog area with bags provided. Spaces are assigned by office. When we pulled into our assigned space, neighbor had all their items in our space drying. Their wet 8x10 porch rug spread over out picnic table, their wet chairs on our paved parking spot, etc. We were the bad guys because "there are other open spaces". Exactly why we were in the wrong I still haven't figured out. All utilities worked well, good Verizon coverage.

Very quiet in October. We saw maybe 4 other campers in the campground. Maintenance was putting up colorful lights for holiday season on trees as a test for future years. This may turn into an annual event for the campground. All services we used worked fine. We would stay again.

Park is modern and friendly. Check in office is small and occasionally overwhelmed. This is our second visit and all information needed to be input again. Did not bring my Good Sam card in with me, which I had used last time also and was not able to get discount. It seems like their computer system should remember who you are and not need to have everything input again. The casino remembers who you are and sends offers every 2 months. We will stay here again whenever we are in the area.
