This is park has a beautiful, secluded setting. No hook-ups are available. Generators can only be running for a few hours daily. The sites are deep and separated by wooded areas. Ours was not at all level. We only stayed one night, so we did not take advantage of the trails or other natural attractions. We would stay again, but would probably look elsewhere first for something more compatible with our needs.
This is a beautiful campground with a park-like setting. We saw lots of wildlife, some in our site. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There was no WiFi, but our Verizon worked OK. We would gladly stay again.
This is a hidden jewel. We stayed here two weeks because it was close to our relatives. We made a good decision. They do not accept credit cards, but will take checks or cash. The staff is wonderful, helpful and friendly. There is a fully stocked store, ball park, pool, recreation room, snack bar and fishing pond. Most of the sites are occupied by seasonal tenants, but the park is very clean and pleasing to camp within. Everyone we encountered was friendly and neighborly. Our only complaint would be the weekend band at the pub located up the hill on the highway. On Fridays and Saturdays they play loud music late into the night and we had no trouble hearing them. This was minimal, so not a huge issue. We would definitely stay again.
This was a beautiful, quiet and well maintained park. The staff was helpful and welcoming. The sites are grassy, and spacious with level concrete pads to park upon. Verizon signal was good. The restroom/shower facilities were centrally located and very clean. We would stay again.
We loved this park. It was beautiful, quiet and fairly easy to maneuver. We had some difficulty finding the park, but it was worth the effort. The sites are mostly level, spacious and covered with a fine gravel. Restrooms and showers are conveniently located. The camp host was not very friendly, but that was not a game changer for us. Verizon was OK. Our stay was quiet and enjoyable and we would stay again.
This little park is a hidden gem. The drawback was the airport and railroad noise, but nothing we couldn't put up with. We had a little trouble finding it because our GPS took us on a roundabout route in. While we stayed we only had two neighbors. It is a municipal park and sports complex, so I imagine it can get quite busy and noisy. Verizon was OK. We would stay again.
This was our second time to stay here. We thought the first unpleasant stay was a fluke. We were wrong. The entrance is narrow and if someone else is already there checking in, it's difficult to park or get by. One of the managers was very rude and unprofessional...again! The sites are tight and very close. You can easily hear your neighbors talking, watching TV or whatever. The picnic table is practically in the neighbor's driveway. The laundry/restroom area needs a good scrubbing. We didn't try the onsite BBQ, as the hours it was available were not convenient for us. Verizon was OK. All things considered, it was overpriced for what you received. We'll look elsewhere next time.
Easy in and out, close to the freeway but not too close. This is an older park, with lots of long-term residents. The long-term sites are clean and organized. The sites are grassy and well maintained. It gets noisy when everyone comes home, but not too bad. We could hear the trains all night. Verizon signal was strong. Our site was not level but it didn't take much to get there. We would stay again.
The park is modern, organized, and well maintained. Easy in and out. There are lots of long-term tenants, but the sites are clean and uncluttered. It was busy on the weekend because most of the long-term folks are home. Verizon was strong. Sites were straight and mostly level. It is located in town but we couldn't hear much highway noise. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would look for something less pricey next time, but our stay was OK, nonetheless.
This park is haphazardly laid out, crowded, and dirty. Most of the guests are obviously long-term. Some of the rigs are in poor condition and surrounded by junk in the site. We had to put up with loud, cursing, and arguing neighbors. Several dogs would bark at every loud noise, in other words, often. The roadways are narrow and often used for parking by guests. The trash dumpster was overflowing with several bags of trash on the ground outside the dumpster. We did not use the restrooms, showers or laundry facilities...afraid to. We thought the rate was outrageous for this place. Obviously, the owners don't put anything back into the park. The way only redeeming factor was the lady in the office. She was very friendly and helpful. We had an emergency and could not find and anywhere else to stay, but we would stay in the Walmart parking lot before coming back here again.
This park was well past its prime. The camping area is on a hillside, with narrow roadways and turns. The sites are small, unlevel and difficult to back into. Wi-fi was nonexistent at our site. For the price, we expected more. We would only stay here again if there were no other choices.
The park is beautiful and peaceful with grassy as well as wooded areas. The sites are spaced well apart and are somewhat secluded. There are miles of walking, hiking, and biking trails. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We would stay here again
Nice, clean, well maintained camp. ATV friendly. When we arrived, our reserved site had been taken by another camper. We ended up taking a different site because the other camper had set up then went off riding a motorcycle. The camp manager worked with us so that we had a site to stay in in spite of the camp host's inadequacy. About half of the sites are shaded and paved. No Verizon Wireless signal. Dish TV worked fine. We will stay again mainly because of easy access to ATV trails nearby.
The park was clean and well maintained. The manager was very friendly and helpful. The sites had grass, flowers and tables. Airport and highway noise was constant, but not too much of a bother as we only stayed one night. One of the better parking- lot style parks we have stayed in. Verizon Wireless and 3G worked.
Our site had plenty of room for our 32 ft. trailer and long-bed tow vehicle. Verizon Wireless worked fine for voice calls but there was no 3G data signal. Dish TV worked. Sites and roads in the campground are paved but the road in was two miles of washboard and dirt. There was some kind of construction going on nearby that was very noisy 24 hours a day. That ruined an otherwise nice experience. Threaded water spigots are available throughout the campground. We probably would not stay again because of the access road.
The location is everything for this campground. It is just outside Sun Valley. Our Verizon Wireless worked, but we could not find a signal for Dish TV. Trail Creek is close for some great fly fishing. The sites are level and have tables, fire rings and barbeque grills. There are vault toilets. Water is available nearby. The camp hosts are very friendly and helpful. We have stayed here before.
The website definitely oversold this park. There were no prices listed online and the pictures indicated an A++ park. What we found was basically graveled sites situated on the side of a hill in a park that has seen better days. But we were tired of looking for a park, so we took it. The manager was nice enough, nothing special, as was the park.
The campground is located within a large, beautiful wilderness recreation area. It is clean, reasonably quiet and peaceful. The sites could have been a little more roomy for large rigs, but we managed. We would stay again.
Nice park, roomy sites but lots of traffic noise from nearby streets. It is clean and well maintained. You are basically in the middle of the city inside a large recreation area. The camping fee includes a daily use fee for the State. Our Verizon Wireless and Dish TV worked fine.
Nice, clean, well-managed campground. Some of the back-in sites were difficult to get in to because of the angle on one-way roads. Lots of shady and sunny sites available. Located at the mouth of Canyon de Chelly, behind the visitor center. A small problem was handled by campground personnel immediately. We would stay here again.
