We visited this park with another family who had a child. Although we intended to tour around the area, there was so much for this child to do at this park that we ended up mainly staying around. It was a very impressive park with both sunny and shaded sites. Very clean with fishing in stocked lakes, swimming, a great playground, putt-putt, and even line dancing on one evening. It's a beautiful area with wonderful views of forested mountains and even a winery close by. The only reason I didn't rate it a 10 was because our particular site was on a hillside and it took awhile to get leveled. That said, I would highly recommend this campground. It's a 'keeper.'
We enjoyed our first visit to this campground. We chose it due to its proximity to the Sights and Sounds Theatre and chose the preferred site with a view of an Amish valley. It was nice, except that the view also included a metal fence with old equipment on the other side. I'm not sure I would have called it preferred site, but it was still nice. This was a good campground to take in the Amish culture of the area.
We really enjoy this campground because of the view and how quiet it is. The facilities and grounds are immaculate. If you want to catch a glimpse of the Amish countryside, sites, and sounds then this is your place. If you are looking for activities for your children, they will probably be disappointed. We strongly recommend this campground.
This campground has become our favorite when visiting the Jersey shore. It's about a 20 min. drive from Cape May. It's wooded sites are like what you would find in a state park, yet you have full hookups. We tend to stay clear of the seasonal sites. We recommend the Redwood and Oak loops. The camp store is large and offers all the basics and more. We have stayed there 3 times now and will return next year.
This campground is our mainstay when visiting Washington DC. The bus access it offers is very convenient. Some sites are tighter than others. We enjoy the ones in the vicinity of the main offices. This is a very large, clean, and efficient campground. We have stayed there multiple times and have never been disappointed.
We absolutely loved this campground. We chose it due to its proximity to the Cape Cod Railtrail and the Provincetown beaches, but had reservations after we read the comment regarding pets. Obviously, the rule about having to take your pet with you if you leave is one which will be enforced if your pet is in fact being a nuisance to your neighbors while you are gone. As a pet owner, I respect that rule and would expect that this be the case. Our dog does not create such a problem. We spent many wonderful hours on the bike trail and touring around with no problem at all. This campground is clean, quiet, efficiently run, and close to all that is wonderful about Cape Cod. The staff were helpful, friendly, and great to visit with. The showers were exceptional. Each one offers a completely private stall and dressing area. Right down the road/trail from the campground are some great seafood restaurants and ice cream stands. We had a great week and will definitely be coming back to this top notch campground.
