Great location, easy to access from I-15 or I-8, central to Sea World, Balboa Park (SD Zoo and much more), and not too far from the Wild Animal Park. Staff was not friendly or helpful, but the price was good. All the spots are back-in; no pull throughs. City noise is okay, but present. We stayed here in a Class A RV with a dolly.
We stayed here in a Class A RV with a dolly. Campground staff are friendly and helpful. General state of the camp is dilapidated, but everything works. It worked fine for passing through for one night, but I would not want to spend much time here. Propane and dump stations available. The big detractor was being next door to I-15, and very loud all night long: made sleeping difficult.
Perfect campground for trips into Yellowstone. Talk to the manager, he'll bend over backwards to help you or make your stay more enjoyable. The campground isn't a big one, but the full hookups are excellent and the price is very good for this area. West Yellowstone is a great town to poke around, with an Imax and Bear/Wolf Discovery Center for an out of the park day. If you tow a toad to make trips into the park, this campground is for you.
Really nice campground with very helpful staff. Hookups were well placed. We used this campground on day trips into the Grand Teton National Park. Jackson Hole WY is about a 30 minute drive away, over a mountain range that is not RV friendly, but easily accessible via car. The Teton park is another 30 minutes North from Jackson Hole, so a 1 hour drive from camp. But the campground is much nicer than the ones in Jackson Hole, more spacious and not as expensive. Victor ID is a nice town, and we'll come back here for future visits.
It is a nice campsite with good hookups which serves as a mid-way point on a trip to Yellowstone. The campground was packed fairly full and the tent campers next to the RVs tend to get up early. The management left instructions taped to the door for a 8:45pm arrival.
