We enjoy this park when coming through. Off I-85 just east of Montgomery. Have never needed a reservation. Nice small lake and the Wi-Fi is good. No cableTV, but air reception is good and open enough to get good satellite reception.
In addition to previous comments, this is a great place. There is no cable, but they have Dish & Directv antennas where all you need to do is hook up at your site. Provided you brought your receiver. They offer a 10% discount for military service. Since it was hot I declined the discount figuring that I would use that much extra electricity but they would not hear of it. They are located on the Henry River and it is a great place for kids to tube and play on the rocks. You will see this park expanding in the future. We stayed here 3 nights to enjoy the Waldensen Festival in Valdese, a few miles west.
This is a great COE park, some of the sites have now been upgraded to 50 amp. and sewer. The hosts are of course friendly. I found a new way to come in by taking exit 4 at the new KIA plant and heading N/W and then left on US29. The Park entrance is only a couple miles. This keeps you from making the sharp turn a the first red light in West Point.
Being a non-member we stayed overnight just to try out a Thousand Trails facility. The staff was great. But the roads and campground are all gravel. The sites we saw were not level and would take some experience to get into. They are also advertising for annual site occupants. Felt we paid much too much.
This is a great RV park and very rally friendly. The location is good, off the beaten path but within minutes to all of the Branson attractions and main highway. The staff there are the best I have ever seen. It is refreshing to be there.
Note if you are using a Good Sam card for a discount you only get it if you pay cash. We stay here a couple of nights when passing through the area. The long term permanent campers are gone. There were a few contractors, but they keep their sites orderly.
