Quiet campground an hour or so away from Seattle. Nice spacious sites with hedges in between. Safeway opposite. Lake is more like a pond but overall a pleasant surprise. Easy bus into Seattle (522 line) and close to Boeing Factory.
In reality: a trailer park with 95% permanent residents. Perhaps 5 or 6 sites for visitors. Whilst on the river: none of the sites for visitors are. Friendly hosts, but narrow sites. We asked for a pull through months before, but permanent residents had them all.
Quietish site 50 yards off main road. Narrow sites with great difficulty backing into them due to narrow roads and big trees. Nicely positioned for Mt Ranier N.P. WiFi exists but only really useable outside office.
Basically a big, dusty, trailer village. No ambiance. 95% of people are permanent. OK for a night or two but not as a destination. Not much choice close to Edmonton, and this may be as good as it gets.
If you want a friendly, quiet, shaded, well spaced, private campground in the middle of orchards and fields, then this is the place. No facilities and not suitable for families with children, though many children are quieter than some of the dogs staying here! One of the best places we have stayed in North America.
We had site 27 a lovely site by the beautiful Chalk Creek in the lower camp ground. The place is kept immaculate and is possibly the best kept place we have ever stayed in. Very friendly owners. The only thing letting it down is the proximity to the main road and the inherent roar of trucks at night. Lower campgrounds sites don't have water and sewer, but are worth it for the shade and the stream.
Very friendly park with paved sites that are very big. Great club house and fabulous pool. Very quiet. Many sites are owned but rented out in summer and in the shoulder seasons. Ring ahead first to check.
The campground has pull throughs which are very close together and about the same number of backins which are not long and quite difficult to access. We experienced noisy motorbikes late at night and people arriving next to us very late at night. The lake is well away from the campsite and the campground is close to the road. It's not a pace for long stays but might be alright for an overnight. In short: no ambience.
