Return trip here. Hookups, Wi-Fi, space, location all great. Cable TV is now a box to hookup. It doesn't work. Noticed several campers with the same problem. Staff, friendly, said they are going back to regular cable. They told us that 7 months ago.
Paved sites and roads. Hookups OK. Site size is somewhat close with grass in between. That's the good. A very loud International Airport next to the park, no view of the river, large park with 1 shower house, long walk to everything, not close to anything. Would not return.
What everyone says about this place is true & more. If you're looking for a beautiful, peaceful stay, this is it. Owner is a lovely, hard working gal. Spacious showers/restrooms, park on lawn, good hookups, trees, and our dogs loved the nice grass to run on. No laundry. Verzion kept going in and out, but enough to get by. Great bird watching! And we watched a large group of Big Horn Sheep graze on the mountain across the river. Of course the "resident deer" are cute to watch too. We appreciated the adult atmosphere. There is no playground; just quiet beauty. We will return! This isheaven on earth!
Great park. Friendly staff, clean, level, grass, and table. Hookups good. Gravel (may be muddy if rainy), but great, nice, grassy area for our dogs! Spotless restrooms/showers and a hot tub! Short drive to town. Would definitely stay here again.
Great price for a night with water, sewer, elect. No showers, but restrooms in casino are nice. Food and service were great! Dirt sites with room. Grass in front of casino good for pets. We would return.
With a large staff, this park is immaculate. Great restrooms/showers, dog run (2), spacing with beautiful grass, table, bbq, pavers, and fence. Staff is GREAT! While a little out of our price range normally, we paid for 3 and got one night free. Close to town, great Mexican & Chinese restaurants right down street. We would definitely return.
This park is dated and could use some grounds care. Dirt, gravel and spotty grass. Restrooms/showers ok, dated, but clean. 2 dog runs...? messy & my small dogs could get through the opening in gate. The save is the nice owners and really good BBQ House on premises. All hook ups & cable worked fine. A little close on the spaces. But we would stay again.
Great staff checking in, helping, and keeping the park nice looking and clean. Showers/restrooms (uses quarters), laundry clean. All gravel, grass in play area. Good spacing and hookups work well. Some long term, but clean. 7 miles from Dinosaur National Park. No trees. We would stay here again.
They don't open until May 15, but will let you stay for flat rate of$25 until then. You get everything except the office & shop. Modern restrooms/showers were great and clean. Grass and gravel sites. Hookups worked good. Spacing was good. We were here May 2nd with four others..so nice & quiet.
Nice overnighter. Clean, small, great spacing between sites, gravel & nice grass. Walk to Cabelas or DQ, Mex restaurant, Sonic, etc. Sidney is historic town, but we didn't explore. Town is a few miles away. Cabelas world headquarters located next door. Water/sewer/elect/and cable tv worked great. Right off I-80. Easy in/out.
As advertised. no sewer or water, just electric. but this is a great little park! Find your site then go back to office/shop with 3 nice guys that check you in. Locked gates at 8:30 open at 7. Safe with clean older showers/restrooms. Trees, grass, large play area for kids and lots and lots of wild turkeys walking around. Grounds and sites, with table, bbq, kept up great. We would stay here again.
Really nice park-w/cement pads & streets, pull throughs & back ins, great bath houses (2) w/exercise equip. & laundry reasonably priced, and meeting/gathering rooms to reserve that have kitchens, pool table, a shuffle board table, TV. They prefer long term, which most were, but the place is very clean and neat with rolling beautiful hilly grass, trees, water features, and statues of animals, and small trees. The check in is by phone, never saw the owners..there is no office except for their business office about a mile away next to their home so owner sounded curt on phone about some of my questions as she kept saying she was at the office and would have to drive down. (How would I know it was so far away?) So, if you're parking short term, don't expect warm fuzzy...they really want long term and have extremely long pull thrus for truck/trailers etc.
Nice park, good hookups, good TV/Internet. Nice lake for catch & release. Nice staff. Quiet, relaxing and near all Indianapolis has to offer. A really nice touch was the map they give when checking in that shows exactly where shopping, restaurants, etc are that are close by...very helpful..didn't need the GPS. One suggestion would be to put a curtain or free-standing divider between the showers & toilets...it would be nice to dress in private. We would return here.
ALERT: This campground will be closing permanently on June 1, 2014.
We wish every park had their 4 individual restroom/shower combination. Nice, clean, large, good pressure, etc. Small, quiet, lovely park with great friendly staff. Between Cedar Rapids & Iowa City & lots to do. Hookups were good, roads & grass with trees. We would return.
We were here in April, warm days then snow day. When temp dropped there was no heat in the bath house which made for lower rating. Otherwise, I could have stayed forever in this beautiful country farmland with Amish horse-drawn buggies everywhere. And, the food in the area is outstanding. Shopping is great w/ lots of outlets, too. We came for the PA Railroad Museum which was great. We feel it's over priced at $35 for just water & elect. and grass pad. But we had the place to ourselves. Dozens of trailers parked, I guess, for the winter. Must be crazy in summer.
Every thing like the last post noted...except worse. Guess I thought the improvements would be done & park would be nice..but we were too tired to seek out something else. This park is filthy.. especially the showers/restrooms. The 99% permanent residents have trash & junk everywhere. Also, the race track next door was so loud when the dragsters took off (@ 200+mph) it shook our camper. I enjoy those races, but not to have an RV park right next door and expect people to have a conversation without shouting...never the less sleep. Worse park ever in our 6, 000 mile journey!
The 7 rating is because the check-in gal was very pleasant, otherwise it would have been lower. Cramped, unlevel, mix of gravel, sand, dirt, spotty grass. We were there for the close Camping World and bathroom repairs; had to use their converted old motel room. (So one restroom/shower for whole park). It's mostly permanent residents in very old mobile homes. Would not stay there again even though the price is $21.
Beautiful park on Intracoastal Waterway w/great birding, walking trails, crabbing, or just watch the boats go by. Small park with Lots of space around site. Clean restrooms/hot showers. Dump station. Great Camp Host! The $10 fee is with our Senior National Park Pass.. (if you dont have one..get it.. only $10 to get (only one person needs it) & it's good for life.
Concrete roads & pads. New (2nd) restrooms/showers that still smelled fresh of paint & cleaned daily! A soon-to-be-opened adult pool and hot tub that looks great. Beautiful pond w/fish & water feature. Some Long term sites, but nice & kept up. Friendly staff. We will return. Love this place!
Asphalt roads and pull-throughs. Somewhat level, not bad. Older, small park, but showers and laundry cleaned daily. Difficult to maneuver if you're really long. We never have that problem. Wi-Fi and cable great. Nice area for dogs. We would stay here again.
To say the sites were uneven would be an understatement. After squeezing between 4 trees and overly large roots, we stopped at 5 blocks to level out. But, the island makes the short stay bearable. A must is to take the ferry there from Fort Morgan. It's a fun ride. We also were there for the birding. This is one of the top spots. Sadly, the birds are late in migrating this year, but it was a great walk and 1 new bird to our list. We would have rated higher, but they had a live country band that played way past our bedtime. Check other spots first.
New owners are working hard to improve park. New showers/restrooms, laundry (although very expensive.. $2.50 a load), and new gathering room. They have lots of events & gatherings. I hope they add more cement pads, but I think they'll get to that. Would have rated it higher, but there's a shooting range close by so shooting noise goes constantly. Also very friendly!
Great birdwatching, 15 min to the French Quarter (and beignets!). Close to lots of shopping, seafood, everything. Spaced far from other RVs, showers are tile..nice. They could be a little cleaner, but lots of use on the weekend. We would return. The bird watching drive is worth it!
These are basic pull-through sites. No frills. Rock & grass. No problem with internet. Bath/showers are clean, but they could spend $20 and replace the rusty curtain, rod, & rings. Trash pick up at site & trimmed grass. We would stay here again.
Nice lady checking in and helpful. Next to airport, but it didn't bother us. Sites are OK. Large garbage cans at every other site. Showers/restrooms are old but clean. As stated in other reviews, if the toilet flushes, the shower flow goes away, but not for long. There are lots of stickers though so our little dogs were uncomfortable. But the town is a great German experience of food and chocolate! We highly recommend going to the National Museum of the Pacific War; awesome mix of video, audio, and real artifacts (planes, weapons, vehicles, subs). Must see.
Very friendly check in. Not much to look at..dirt sites..but easy access with good room. Showers/restrooms are really nice & clean..look new! Plus they have a dog run! We're always grateful for off-leash areas for our 2 small dogs. We would stay here again.
Very friendly. Laundry and snacks: pay on honor system. Free current movies to borrow. Mostly long term residents. Pet friendly: but only walk in field or along busy hwy. Showers are old, but ok. Gravel w/some grass. We'd return.
I would give a higher rating if there was one higher than 10! This park is great! Nice staff. Excellent showers/restrooms that are cleaned daily. Great lounge (they even brought in pizza etc. for Super Bowl night). Lovely setting with pool tables, TV, kitchen, puzzles, computer area & 3 off-leash dog areas! It is on the out skirts of town, but 5 min. to town. Plus they sell propane. Gravel & road. We highly recommend and will be back!
