A nice place to stay. Owners are friendly. They are expanding the park and will be offering wi-fi in the near future. We have stayed here several times and will again whenever we are in the area. Swedish heritage museum and shopping.
Only shade is for back-in sites filled with long-term occupants. There is wi-fi available, but it does not work very well and if you inquire at the office, the owner is very rude about it. There is a nice fish pond, but nothing for children to play on. Sites were not well-maintained, needed mowing. Owner dragged interior roads after a rain with a noisy golf cart just after 8 a.m. Would probably not stay here again unless necessary.
Nice park, needs more maintenance on interior roads and marking of campsites. Showers are metered. Restaurant on premises too, with good food and reasonable prices. Owners very accommodating to your needs. Open all year. Metered LP is available for long-term stay as well. Phone connection through local phone company.
Very nice county park. Weekly and monthly rates are available. Boat ramp and fishing on the lake and swimming allowed in the coves. Sites are very large with fire rings and picnic tables. Some interior roads are paved. Gate house staffed from early morning to late evening. A small restaurant is nearby with good food. Marshall, IL is not far for additional needs.
This is an excellent State Park on a man made lake with boating and fishing. There is a very nice restaurant on site as well. The sites are spacious with a few paved for handicap access. All interior roads are paved. All sites are good gravel and level. There is a dump station and fresh water is available. The nearby town of Marshall, IL offers amenities such as fuel, groceries and a Wal-Mart.
We have stayed at this park numerous times since 2004. It is behind a video rental store, but is quiet. All sites are back-in, but are quite ample for our 38 foot 5th wheel and toter. Owners are friendly and helpful. The bath, shower and laundry are new and clean. An additional amenity while you stay, is that you can rent DVD or VHS movies free of charge. Just off I-35, Lindsborg is a Swedish settlement with numerous attractions and events throughout the year.
