Yoga and lap swimming friendly park! For those of you who, like me, enjoy getting physical exercise by swimming, this Park presents a more than adequate opportunity to do so. Although the pool is not as large as other pools, it became very easy to do sizable laps once the rope was pulled off. No problem, according to the manager, as long as it was replaced at the end of exercise! A friendlier woman you will not find. The park was clean, the bathrooms were more than serviceable, and as an added service a honey pot cleaner came around three times a week in order to clear out ones septic tanks. It is a little noisy because it is right off interstate 70. But this is the only negative aspect of the park. Otherwise, remove the rope from the side of the pool, do you laps, and have a great time. Just make sure that you put the rope back!
I am grateful that this park was able to accommodate my 39 foot fifth wheel. The restrooms are being updated, and the women's rest room is actually very nice. The men's restroom, however, is incredibly in need of updating. It does has a swimming pool, and the owner was quite accommodating.
I have a fifth wheel just under 40 feet. I called up, and I was told that there were three spots that could easily accommodate my vehicle. When I arrived, however, I found out that these sites were inadequate in that the electricity and water hookups were too far apart in distance from each other for campers to hook up. In short, this is a difficult state park for any RV vehicle over 30 feet, let alone almost 40 feet.
A concern about this campground is that it is on the border of a rather sketchy area. That being said however, they have a nice pool, and restrooms were generally clean with adequate showers. This is a no-frills campground that serves as a wonderful rest place when travelers are on long journeys. Of course, we love downtown Chattanooga, and we have taken advantage of the proximity of the downtown area to this campground. I do recommend recommend this campground. As I was having work done on my fifth wheel, and as I am a member of good Sam Club, I was not charged. I don't know what is charged normally.
We had fun at this park. The sites that we stayed in was adequate in terms of being level and long enough to support a longer rig. We liked that they offered entertainment, and the pool was really fun. They need to come up with a better system of updating and maintaining the bathroom facilities. A major plus about this campsite is that it is so close to Mammoth Cave National Park. As such, we really enjoyed the ample opportunities for hiking and exploring. We are big fans of Karaoke, and this campground offers Karaoke once a week. I would stay here again.
