Well worn is an understatement. Our site was narrow, uneven and weedy. The site we were assigned was already occupied. The lady at check in was pleasant, seemed to be trying to run the park with no help. She told the gentleman checking in ahead of us that she couldn't guarantee that the cable would work. She told us that she didn't expect the wifi to work. Neither did. The next morning the sewage overflowed when trying to dump our tanks, but there was nobody on duty to report it to. Would not camp here again.
We've stayed here many times and never been disappointed. Beautiful views of the lake, friendly staff, reliable power and water. Some long term campers, all near the entrance, sites near water are or with good views are usually available. We find most sites roomy enough, although some leveling effort may be required. We got good cell reception (AT&T). Good restaurants in Reidsville, 20 minutes from Greensboro. Best campground for miles around.
Stayed over July 4th Weekend. The site was neither paved nor gravel, but grass and not recently mowed. Our site as reasonably level, not all are. No sign of staff outside of office the whole time we were there. Showers and restrooms clean and showers themselves OK. Needs updating. It was disappointing for the price. Price we paid was water and electric. The location was very good. Free shuttle service to Ferry was available. The staff was friendly. Laundry facility was good.
