Great CG just off the Trace. First one we've found since leaving Nashville that has sewer at each site. The Wi-Fi is fast, or maybe we've just been in the back woods too long. I don't know about unlevel sites that others have reported, I almost didn't need to use the levelers on the MH. We were only going to stay the one night but decided to extend one day. Good cable, 125 Volt power and 40 lbs water pressure. Escorted to our site and they checked later to make sure all was okay.

Ants, ants, and more ants. Not 38ft rig friendly. Roads are narrow and if the campers directly in front had not left so I could drive thru their site I would have had to back out. Absolutely impossible to make the tight turns. Great WiFi. Due to heavy rains we couldn't get to the pool. Restaurant handled a rally group of 25 Friday night quickly and with extremely attentive service. Did I mention the ants? Would not go back unless for a rally with our friends even though the rally hall that they assured us would be ready by 7/4 hasn't been started. One dumpster located near the office for the whole park. A 3 may be too good a rating.

This is a resort. They could easily add several hundered more sites, actually, one on either side of me, to this resort. The spaces are extremely long, level and wide. There is a large and I mean large meadow in the center of the resort. I've never stayed anywhere that had this much open space. The roads are gravel and the sites are gravel with lots of grass. Yea...not a lot of concrete. Even when it rained here, the was very little standing water. Final comment, this is the first campground we've ever stayed that the pictures on their web site didn't truly represent how beautiful this place is.

Great park. We stayed 6 days and loved every day. Convenient for a lot of day trips like McDonald Observatory.

This park is nice. As far as big rig access, yes it can be accessed in a big rig but parking is a different situation. We supposedly had one of the larger sites and with our 38 ft MH I had to park the toad across the front. Most of the spaces would be limited to 28 ft. Good birding location and nice view of the Pedernales river.

Our site was level enough that we didn't even use leveling jacks. Good wifi, poor cell service. Great views from the motorhome and after a thunderstorm during the night, the birding was excellent, just siiting in the front seat drinking coffee and checking out the birds. The blessing came when we didn't have to go through Reserve America to make reservations. Hopefully the state of Texas will soon realize the problems associated with RA.

Terrible place especially if it rains. New owner brought in red clay/iron ore mixture for the roads and pad sites. All he managed to do was turn the place into a slick red clay mud hole. The week before they had to use the "resident" bulldozer to pull several rigs out. Great rally room and good wifi. One picnic table under the one mesquite "tree" at one of the full time residences sites. You ever tried to get red clay out of your carpet?

Fantastic park. Lots of wildlife and its very quite. Great pull thru sites. The location should be listed as Sealy, TX as San Felipe is just a spot in the road with a very active policeman. Every time we went by he had someone stopped. Speed limit is 40 in the middle of nowhere so be cautious.

Nice park. Attended a rally so the $20/night is rally rate. Nice rally hall. Good fire pit. Game room and fitness room. Best part was the distance between sites. I had a pull through site that was certainly long enough for a 38 footer with a toad. Will return.

Since my last visit they have concrete pad sites. I also found two nice hiking trails in the park. I happened to meet the person in charge of reservations and she was disappointed that although the camp sites were all reserved, there were only three RV's there. I guess if its free and no cancellation fees people don't find it necessary to cancel. I'll be back.

This place is OK because it's cold, and we need to stay inside. If we had to go sit out, we would be sitting within 3 feet of neighbors connections. When I step out I step over the concrete walk. My motorhome is 38 feet with a toad, and if you pull forward enough to get the toad out of the road, you need a sewer hose extension. There are many permanent residents. We arrived at dusk and maybe the morning sun will cast a better view. I don't think the distance between neighbors will increase, however. Maybe at $20 it would be different.

The quiet was deafening. Didn't miss the three or four trains blowing whistles during the night like at bh south cg. Yes, the drive in is a little long but well worth the time. Drive slow, there are a lot of deer in the area. The sites were a little close for a state park but totally acceptable. Great hiking trails and a beautiful lake. If you're a golfer, theres a great course a couple of miles away and if your a biker, great place to ride. Staff was friendly and helpful. Twenty four hour guard at gate along with park police on patrol. I used cell card for internet. This may be the best deal in Birmingham area. We will go back.

Excellent place. Our springer loved the river and our mini weiner dog learned to swim. Lots of deer. Most sites have good shade. Adult only pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room available. Was only going to stay one night and decided to stay three. WiFi didn't work at all for us. It has a saloon with entertainment on Saturday night. Will come back and try to get a site over looking the river.

Kind of a mix between a mobile home park, full time trailer park, and overnighters. Good location. Make sure you have a pressure regulator for water. Park pressure is 165 pounds. Not a destination park but good for overnight. Roads paved, sites graveled. And we had a "premium" site.

Agree with other post. Great, great place for the price. Free! Only other comment is they unlock the park at 6:30am not 8:00am.

Great park. Staff includes uniformed high school young men to escort you to your site, assist you hooking up if needed and explain all the amenities. Professional, curious, cheerful...you can tell they've been trained in hospitality. The sites are huge. Our site was at least 80 feet long. Each site has a table and fire ring with firewood. Included was free barbecue Saturday night with a very good band for dancing. Only problem was Saturday night, we wanted to go get in the beautiful pool only to find about 30 kids and four adults running, screaming and jumping into the pool. We went back to the motorhome.

Grass needed mowing. Weeds needed pulling. Hot tub had not been cleaned in awhile from the amount of trash in it. The park could be very good, it just needs some tender loving care.

Could be a 10. Host at office could be more friendly. This is a great place if you have a big rig. I've never seen so many Prevost in one place, at least 15 and they we not at a rally. Clean, paved streets, pads and patio. We'll be back.

For the price it is really a ten. The deer come to your site in the afternoons...and I mean to your site. My wife, from Alabama, saw her first jack rabbit and there are some of the most interesting cedar trees you have ever seen. We stayed on the side away from the river because more wildlife is on this side, including antelope. We will be back this fall when the deer have horns.

Best private park I've stayed in. When they escort you to your site, they spray the hose bib, sewer cover and picnic table with sanitizer. Quiet, but near great restaurants and shopping.
