This is not some trashy oil field "man camp". I am sure that the owners don't put up with any nonsense, like loud parties, or racing engines. Almost all the sites are permanent residents and the travelers are put on the back row. That is good because you have very little traffic and it is right next to great dog walk area. The park is clean and well maintained. The staff are very friendly. The roads are very wide, but a little bumpy. Pull throughs are long and level. Each site has a decent patch of grass and a picnic table. They do have a cash only payment policy. I would stay here again and would recommend it to friends.
This is a VERY nice campground. Well laid out. Long pull throughs. No wind blown trash..which is amazing in the mid-west. Friendly staff. Escort to your site. Nice fire rings. There is some road noise, but it is not awful. Easy to find. Highly recommend and would stay again.
Really liked this park. The sites are not jammed up cheek by jowl, which is a huge plus in my opinion. This park has lots of wide open spaces that are very well maintained. There is a small pond and a play area. The sites were gravel. All the services worked fine. My site was not a level as I would have liked, but it was ok. The manager was very friendly and down to earth. And, best of all, they did not have millions of rules!!! It was more like "just use your common sense." I will stay here many times in the future since it is the closest pull through's to Squaw Creek NWR.
This is a clean, well maintained park. Shower facility was very clean and well stocked, although the hand soap has to be the cheapest they could find...it was thin, didn't lather, and smelled funny. The laundry is OK. 2 dollars to wash and 1.25 to dry. There are small folding tables, but no chairs...so you have to find somewhere else to wait. One machine was broken while I was there. They do have a change machine and sell only Tide in the laundry products machine. The staff are nice enough, but that is all. They do have someone to escort you to your site and help you get in. The dog "park" is very small, but grassy and they do provide bags. The can for the bags did get full to overflowing one time while I was here. Trash cans are conveniently placed, but did tend to get full to overflowing. There are a lot of RULES and a sense that they MUST BE OBEYED. I think charging $10.00 PER NIGHT for an extra vehicle is outrageous....even for Gardiner. I am not real fond of the per person per night fee either. The rates are not exactly cheap to start with so all this feels like gouging. I did not stay in a cabin, but they are microscopically small and parking is rotten for most of them. I would stay here again, but I intend to look at the other RV park I Gardiner to see if I like it better.
This is Foothills Motel and Campground in Dayton, Wyoming. This poor little park is worn down and showing its age. The entire campground is entirely shaded. My site was a pull through, 50 amp. The owner showed me the sewer hookup by telling me it was that hole under that rock. There was a hole and it appeared to have a plastic pipe down in there, but I would never dump there because I would be afraid that the pipe would come out of the hole spraying sewerage everywhere. I didn't drink the water either. The site was grass grown up through gravel and was level enough. There was a considerable amount of junk around the edges and what appeared to be two or three abandoned trailers moldering away. There is access to a surprisingly nice city park, with a large dog park. The owners were nice enough. My 34 foot fifth wheel was about all this place could handle. I found the rates to be VERY high considering the condition of the park. Overall, it is a run down place owned by an elderly couple, who are doing the best that they can. I would only stay here again if I could not find other accommodations within a reasonable distance.
I read all the great reviews, and this park didn't quite live up to my expectations. The park was mowed and clean the sites are a little narrow. They are gravel and noticeably soft on the edges,so if you don't turn in just right, your wheels may sink a little..or a lot if it has been raining. The pool is small. The dog park is pretty nice. Doo-doo bags and trash can are provided. There is a picnic table to sit at also. I could not get Wi-Fi and when I called the desk they said, well it's working up here and it usually works in that spot. Not very helpful, but I was surrounded by big rigs, so that may have had something to do with it--them blocking the line of sight to the Wi-Fi. Utilities are in the back of the sites, not my favorite location, since it can be a hassle with the sewer hose. Mine reached, without the extension, but barely. I would stay here again, but I am going to look around the area and see if I find something I like better.
Very clean. The owners were very nice---golf art guide to the site, help with positioning, nice little store, ... Job even hooked up my water and electric for me!!! The yard was mowed and free of trash and debris. Site was plenty wide enough to extend the slides. It is easy to get to and the check-in was efficient. I would stay here again and would recommend this park.
