A very fine campground. Full service top notch facility. Wide cement pads with patios. Spotless bathroom/showers. Giant pool/hot tub. Top notch hookup pedestals. Our only problem was that we wish we would have stayed here longer.
It's a nice park like others have said, but it's too expensive. Sites are on the smaller side. Some too short for your tow vehicle and RV together, and some fire pits are all but unusable due to proximity to your neighbors RV. There are many kid friendly activities but not that many kids as we found out. I can only assume this is because of the "extra" nightly charge for kids. Restrooms and showers are smallish, and dated, but clean. The park has a very high ratio of seasonal campers, and seasonal cabins which made us feel almost like outsiders most of the time.
A very nice RV resort. A little noisy but thats due to the proximity to the roller coasters in the park. Be prepared to wait in a long line to check in. If you get there early and want to park and go to the amusement park the overflow lot fills up fast and I got mildly hassled by an attendant at the lot across the street for the Cedar Point water park.
We returned to this park this year after a number of years without visiting. We stayed in one of the new "large" 50 A FHU sites. I must say that this park has gotten too big for their own good. The park has more than doubled in overall size but the support facilities have remained the same. From where our campsite was to the nearest (only) shower house it was at least 3/4 of a mile! The new sites will be nice some day when the grass starts growing. Right now they are all gravel. the "large" sites were larger than the standard full hookup site but the location was well away from the lake. Since the "large" sites command a premium price tag they should be located closer to the lake. Also with 800 plus sites the narrow twisty access roads have outlived their usefulness and are in dire need of re-design. Hopefully they will get their act together. We will visit again, but it won't be for a few years.
I agree with most of the previous reviews for this park. But I cannot rate it higher than a 7. The people are nice, the ocean frontage is nice, the location is good, but the sites could be better. Many are not level, and those darn trees. If you have a large rig many sites will be tough on your slides and awnings. The irony is that with a minimum amount of effort the tree problem could be eliminated without compromising the ambiance of the park.
