Not really a destination, but a good basic park to overnight in on the way. The water spigots are shared between two sites. There were only 3 campers here, so not a big deal, but might be if it were full. Staff was friendly and helpful. One word of caution: the train is right across the street and runs frequently at all hours. We enjoy this sort of thing, but the noise might bother some people. We would use this park again.
What's not to love? Staff is very friendly, park is beautiful and well maintained. The map on their web site accurately depicts the size of your site, and most are spacious. Park is spotlessly clean, as are restrooms and laundry. Wi-Fi works well. This park is very quiet, no highway noise. River was running at a nice clip while we were here. There is river access for all campers, not just the waterfront sites. We drove through the other parks in Chama, and while they were nice, this one is the cream of the crop. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
