This is a great place to stay if you're visiting the park. The shuttle service is very good, running every half hour, and you get into one section of the park an hour early. Everything was clean and well maintained, and the staff was friendly. Check in was quick and easy and the store was fairly well stocked. The sites by the road are pretty tight, we were lucky and got one up on the hill where there is more room. I would not stay in the bottom. There is a train, but we honestly never really heard it, and it certainly didn't shake us out of our bed, and our site wasn't too far from the tracks. You can hear the equipment from the quarry, but it is just a drone sound from the machinery, nothing too obnoxious. I certainly wouldn't let those things keep me away. We would stay there again, mainly for the benefit of the shuttle and early entrance. It's great to ride Skyrush before everyone else gets to the park.

We really enjoyed our stay at this campground and took advantage of their tandem sites on the hill. We travel with friends and they offered a discount as a buddy site. We shared one of the long pull throughs with both campers in one site (with two hook-ups). This worked perfectly for us, we had one huge site and access to both campers very easily. The site was about 100' long, very level and included a concrete patio, gas grill and swing. The road is a bit long to get to the sites, but we had no problem getting our 32' fifth wheel to the site. My only complaints would be that the pool is open to the public for a fee, which makes it pretty crowded, and the water pressure was a bit low for us. Otherwise, it was one of the nicer campgrounds we have visited. Very clean and neat, friendly staff, lots of activities, and we really enjoyed the free fireworks show for the 4th of July. Some of the sites around the lake were a bit small, and some sites were even on the side of the road around the lake. Didn't like those sites, but we definitely intend to camp there again as long as we can get up on the hill.

This park is very convenient to I-77 and Charlotte, yet is very secluded. No road noise and lots of shade for most sites. They had plenty of activities, and everyone seemed to love the jumping pillow. The fireworks show was very nice, and we enjoyed the karaoke by the rec area. The staff was some of the friendliest we have encountered at any campground. The store is a convenience store, with competitive prices, and an RV supply and repair store is on site to take care of most all needs. We hope to go back, especially when the haunted house is open.

We used this campground while trading RVs nearby. Campground was well kept and staff was very nice and friendly. We were checked in quickly and guided to our site, which was one of the long pull through sites near the front. Plenty of length, but not very wide.We didn't use any of the amenities, but liked the looks of everything, especially the fenced in pet area. Everything seemed well maintained and tidy. Huntington Mall was only a few miles away. We would definitely return.

A very convenient park to Virginia Beach. There was a bike trail from the campground to the boardwalk, only two miles away. Sites were very level and most were shaded. Roads were paved, and the entire campground was very clean. Staff was very friendly and work hard to accommodate requests. We made our reservations late, and thought we would have to move after the first night, but they worked it out for us to have what we wanted. Bath houses, pools and stores were conveniently placed around the park, giving this large park a smaller feel. Lots of activities and music going on, and a trolley stop in the park make everything accessible. We will definitely camp here again.

This is a wonderful campground at the foot of Massanutten Mountain. Almost every site was shaded and the sites are large and fairly level. The new owners are wonderful, and take an active role in making this a great place to stay. Staff was friendly and helpful, and everything was very well maintained and clean. Lots to do with miniature golf, fishing, swimming, table tennis, pool table, basketball, etc. Be sure to hike the 2 mile trail, it goes to the top of the mountain and is well worth the hike for the beautiful views of the valley. As noted, the access road is winding, but it's worth it to get to this wonderful place, and we had no problem. I saw many bigger rigs come and go with no problem. We will definitely stay here again.

A very secluded campground in the woods, but conveniently located to Fredericksburg. Battlefields and lots of history are nearby, and the nearest DC Metro station is about 45 minutes away. There were no planned activities at the campground, so visit the attractions nearby. Interior roads were mostly paved, but need some maintenance. The showers and store are both new and very nice, and the store is well stocked. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Cable TV reception is very poor, you'll get a much better picture with your antenna, but the Wi-Fi signal was very good. We look forward to staying here again, and seeing the friendly squirrels.

We really enjoyed our stay at this park. Being connected to the resort, you have all of the amenities available to you, most at no extra charge. The sites are very heavily wooded, and are situated on a fairly steep grade, with each site stair-stepped down the hill to the lake. Our site was fairly level, and decent sized, though it was a bit on the narrow side. The bath house was clean and well kept, and the staff was very friendly. As noted, they are undergoing a huge expansion, including a new RV park with completely paved pads, outdoor furniture, and a gas grill at every site. Very few trees in the new park, and it looked like it would take some time for the landscaping to provide any shade at the sites. Bring at least 50' of TV cable, or ask for maintenance to bring a longer one, they are quite accommodating. Wi-Fi did not work at our site either. We will look forward to another relaxing trip to this campground.

This was a very nice park, with most sites shaded, and some very wooded. Most sites did have concrete pads which were fairly level. The bath house was conveniently located in the middle of the park, and is undergoing renovation. Don't expect a modern sparkling bathroom, but the work they are doing looks very nice. The showers are mostly done, and everything was clean, even though under construction. They have a large swimming pool and a small game room nearby. I didn't notice any organized activities, and the office/store had limited hours. Store was stocked with bare essentials, but they had a decent assortment of normally needed RV supplies. Park was conveniently located between route 60 and I-64. It was 20 minutes from most activities in the area (Busch Gardens Europe, Water Country USA, and Colonial Williamsburg), but we enjoyed the feeling of being away from it all. A very nice campground to use as a base while visiting the area, and we will likely return.

A very nice campground with friendly, helpful staff. We arrived very late, around 1:00 A.M., and were escorted to our site and shown where the hookups were. Also while there, we called while we were out, and the staff delivered a bundle of firewood to our site since we would not be back before the store closed. Weekend breakfasts were available in the rec hall, and the food was very good and priced very nice. The campground was well landscaped, and very secure thanks to patrols of the staff. Sites were fairly level, and even with quite a bit of rain, everything drained well, and there was no mud. I would echo the concerns of others about check-out day. We awoke to the dreaded yellow card reminding us to leave, and were very aware of the staff watching from nearby golf carts as we prepared to leave. As soon as we left, the golf cart swept into our campsite to turn off the breakers, and make sure we didn't leave anything. Not a big problem, but not a real plus for the campground either. We will return as this campground is very centrally located to many attractions in the area including Hershey, Dutch/Amish country, and Gettysburg.

A very nice woodsy campground. The campground was quiet and very relaxing. Just far enough away from Charlottesville to get away, but close enough for sightseeing and visiting. Staff was very courteous and helpful. Everything was well maintained and very neat. We were also disappointed by the pond. Not much access, lots of downed trees and plants kept fishing to a minimum. Some fire rings were also too close to the camper, and were set in concrete to prevent moving them out from under the awning. Loved the nightly movies in the pavilion, and the kids enjoyed the rented pedal cars. WiFi worked very well, but very limited cell phone service. We were very pleased and will definitely return again.

Park was very nice. Sites were fairly level and there was shade available at most every camp site. The road into the park was fairly rough with lots of potholes. Very clean and quiet, even with quite a few seasonal campers. Lots of things for the kids to do including the lake, newly built pool, basketball and playground. The only negative thing about this park is the electrical connection. If you go, be sure to have a tester. Our site and several nearby only had 108 volts during the middle of the day. The voltage came up at night to 120, but worried us during the day. The kids really loved it though, so we will probably return.

Very nice campground. Our site was a nice wooded site, with plenty of room. The park was very family friendly and quiet, and the owners and staff were extremely nice and helpful. There was enough recreational activities to keep the kids happy, including Blongo Ball, horseshoes, a playground, and a fishing pond. The small camp store was pretty well stocked with most anything you might need, including RV supplies. Overall a very nice park with friendly owners and a great atmosphere. We will definitely return.
