Really liked the remote setting, down a long road and surrounded by trees. Sites are close together, and it appears that many sites are used by semi-full timers. Many rigs were here with nobody home. No restrooms or shower facilities. Had great decorations for Easter, and we walked our dog down the long road coming into the park. Big negatives here were the bugs. We got bitten and they have a caterpillar that stings you if he touches your skin. Lots of restaurants close by: so if you love Cajun food, this may be a possible site. Must pay with cash or check. Park is owned by the City and run by resident manager.

Great little campground run by the City. Very close to downtown Winchester on the shores of Tim's Ford Lake. Some campers had their boats pulled up on shore. The camping is right next to a ball field and we watched women's softball and little league games: some night games but they were over by 9 pm. The biggest negative here is the restrooms and showers. Very filthy and an after thought. The men's toilet had a shower curtain and the stall was about 2 feet deep, so if you wanted privacy you had a shower curtain draped on your knees. We used our own facilities. Women's were the same: neither side had any toilet paper!!

Wonderful park with loads of trails and a great lake. We had a nice pull through site that was level and easy entrance/exit. Bathrooms clean and showers were nice. Close to marinas and restaurants (within 5 - 7 miles). Lots of shade. Lots of trails where we walked the dog. Saw deer in camp most days/evenings.

Great RV park. Spots are flat and level (of course everything in these parts is) and surrounded by trees. We watched barges and boats go up and down the river. Great access and well laid out, with ample space around each site. Baths and showers were great. We used the washer/dryer and they were a nice bonus. Park has a nature trail, short but nice. City is a few miles away. We did hear a train one morning: as it was picking up a car at a local facility. Might be great for kids to watch!

Fantastic place to RV. We reserved for 5 days and liked it so much we stayed for 7. Most sites are on the lake and have great views. The area has lots of hiking, the lake looked inviting but we didn't swim, and there are boats available for rent. Also, a great 18 hole golf course, where we played 9 holes and used free clubs. Restrooms and showers were clean and modern. This is the first campground where I have seen new Corian countertops! Showers are spacious and great hot water and pressure. The only downside was our site. When we pulled in, I thought someone left two big logs for firewood. Turns out we needed them under our rear stabilizer jacks, as the 5th wheel was about 4 feet off the ground. The other thing: you are in chigger and tick country and we fed a few of each. Proper care may have eliminated this issue. Most sites have great views, and I would come here again!

I would have given this place a zero, but the bathrooms were clean and spacious. The place is a paved parking lot, and close to the front of the park, which also has many permanent mobile homes. We had cars coming and going all night, the freeway can also be heard. The dog walk area is a small patch of grass on a slope. Internet was spotty and bandwidth very slow. If the WalMart parking lot is full, then I would come here.

This place is amazing. Probably the nicest place we have ever stayed. Everything was done right. Wide roads, easy access for the sites - both pull through and back-in, as well as everything working perfectly. Sites are all level, we had a nice patio, grass is trimmed, and sites are spacious. The majority of the sites are creekside. We travel with our Labrador, and they have lots of places to walk the dog, big fields, and a pet friendly area. The owners did a great job of building this place. Small enough that it is quaint, but so well thought out. No bath house or restrooms, but that is OK for us. Great cable and best internet. It is off the beaten path, but that is a great advantage here. If you want a pool, noise, and a playground, then this is not the place for you. However, if you want a great serene locations, quiet area, and picturesque setting - then I would recommend this place.
