Just off the interstate. Plenty of food places available close by. Although the place is up for sale the RV park is in reasonable condition. Not many sites occupied so getting in and out was good. If it gets busy I feel it would be difficult. Sites are not long so everybody parks on empty side sites, a habit which is prone with issues and could be a problem. No Wi-Fi available in the RV park but if you visit the Motel you can get Wi-Fi here. Slight noise due to the interstate and lights from the nearby gas stations do interfere into the park. All sites are on a gradual incline, so stay at the bottom or go to the top near to the bathrooms and they seem to be the most level. Handy off the interstate and okay for a overnight stay but not for a long time.
The lady who answered the office at 5 PM was in her sleeping attire, wearing pajama pants, strange attire. She just about said hello and we got the impression that we were a intrusion into her life. The entire RV park is extremely close to the interstate and was really noisy, due to traffic noise. Trees were low and in great need of trimming. The road into the park from the interstate is very narrow and needs careful navigation, be careful.
Gravel roads and uneven sites, plus very small not big enough for a 36ft 5th wheel and truck; the truck needed to be parked sideways and on the grass, something I really don't like to do. No Wi-Fi. TV Channels worked but very fuzzy and far from being a clear signal. A busy park and reservations are strongly advised. Close to Cabellas so you can spend and enjoy yourselves. A few monthly regulars with old trailers are starting to make the RV Park look scruffy and trash; they are growing in numbers from 9 months when we last visited. Will we return? Maybe and then maybe not, we'll see.
A SUPER expensive RV Park; the prices have sky rocketed in a year from $15 a night to $55. All you will receive is electric, water, sewer, no Wi-Fi, and free mini bus to the Casino. No TV channels at $55 a night plus a small discount if you have a player card. Our second time here and our last. If want an expensive RV Site, then this the place for you. Oh, the RV sites are designed to fit 2 rigs on one pad which would really make your site very, very small, too expensive. They have free boon-docking which is very well used, I wonder why?
Easy access off I-35, a reasonable distance from Victoria with the closest shopping at Walmart 7 miles away. Staff are friendly except the Activity Person; she is the rudest snarliest person I have every encountered, if you don't expect a welcome form her you'll be in good shape, she favors her regulars. The Manager and his wife are super nice and I am puzzled as to why they have this Activity person coming back every year, this will stop us from coming here ever again. The facilities are nice although the Pool Room Fitness Room really needs cleaning better, dirty floor and equipment covered in dust, would not take much to clean them, I mentioned it but nothing was ever done. The sites themselves are head to tail which gives the impression of a spacious site but it is only an allusion, although far better when comparing this Park to other RV Parks in the Victoria area. WI-Fi is patchy at best with lots of dropped signals far from good. TV Channels reasonable although with plenty of duplications an allusion of lots of channels. Grounds are reasonably well maintained although when it rains beware of big puddles and muddy patios, needs patio gravel at least. Would not return due to Activity Person which is a shame as one person can spoil what could be a really top park, with a huge potential.
Tricky to get into Campground as others have stated due to roadway goes between Service Stations. Road is gravel but okay. Staff welcome initially was cool but warmed up towards the end. The only pull-through available was electric 30amp water and no sewer. When we arrived I noticed that work was being done on several of the pull through sites so I suspect that they are having service problems hence none available for use as the park was not full. Also noticed that other rigs that came in later had to go into water and electric only with no TV service at least we did have that. Bathrooms are interesting with music and very fancy, photos and decorated with Ducks, so funny, could be cleaner; dirty rim in the toilet bowls and grimy in the corners, need attention to details. Otherwise better than the average park. VERY LOW tree branches we needed to back out as going forward was too tight a turn and branches would have scratched the rig. Overall a fairly good RV Park but really could be better if more attention to detail was carried out and for goodness sake staff, smile and be happy in your job, remember you are in Customer Service.
Basically a small field with mainly long term residents. What sites were available came with a long electric cable extension so to make the electric available as the masts are long way from the pad, 30amp only. Very basic for a country side Park.
None of the sites we looked at had sewer connection. Most of the sites had long term residents with very old rigs. Over 4 miles from the major freeway the last mile on gravel tracks very bumpy and dusty. We were cramped into a space so tight it was unbelievable. The RV at the back could not get out even if they wanted to. The site is soil and sand with water connection below ground. Yes, there is a water slide that looks nice but it exits into a very dried up swimming pool. It is advertised as being available on a weekend, not sure which weekend they refer to. The managers are friendly, but it is our opinion that the RV Resort is very much falsely advertised and can be best described as old and very dumpy.
Park is actually in Liberty and close to Coffeyville, access is off the Industrial Road and not off Hwy 169. Big gravel sites - all pull through. Wi-Fi worked which was surprising as we parked a long way away from the office. The laundry is clean and modern. The managers are exceptionally friendly and cannot do enough to make one feel at home. Wonderful RV park.
We were looking forward in staying at this park and we were totally disappointed. Sites are all gravel and tight to get in and out without running over the grass. We picked a site that gave us only partial 50amp and didn't find out until after had broken camp and took our RV across the road to a RV dealer only to discover that the problem had nothing to do with our RV but with the pedestal at Cabela's. We spent almost 4 hours messing around with this problem. The staff in the store seemed not to be interested in our comments and as this was off season there was no water to any sites and nobody in the camp office. The Cable TV reception was terrible and barely watchable. Would not stay here again, It's dirty and not maintained as it should be.
Personally we are not fans of KOA although we were forced to this Campground due to the horrible stormy freezing weather. The sites are all gravel and far from being level. This park only operates from 1st April until the middle of October each year. The owners are the only reason we would return. They are superb and go out of their way to deliver top class customer service and are always smiling despite the weather which was terrible and grumpy guests like me. They make pizzas to order and deliver to the door and at a fair price. Yes, we would return only because of the owners.
Gravel sites overgrown with weeds but still useable just didn't look nice. The seemed reasonably level. Far enough away from the highway for there not to be any freeway noise and easy on and off. Owner was pleasant enough. Although this is a mobile home community, we did not see any residents and all the fixed sites looked well cared for. Would stay here again when traveling through.
Absolutely you need a reservation as this place gets very busy, despite it's size. The pull-throughs are wonderful and big but the back-in;s are not so good, due to an off the ground BBQ fire stove, which restricts the slide out at the rear from being extended. I am amazed how anybody could design a NEW RV Park and then erect a steel post where most RV's have a slide out, so one needs to either park on the grass or way forward so the truck is in the road, crazy. The guy on reception was so slow it took him 20 minutes to register just one guest, the manager came out and took over the next in line, which had now grown to 8 RV waiting. The facilities are all new and good but they lost points with me due to the back-in that are not long for a 35ft 5th wheel and truck, okay for a Class B or C or a small TT.
Warm welcome by the manager couple. Did not have a front RV site as a Rally was due in sometime, (and this was Tuesday). We only wanted 1 night. We were given a site near the Shuffle Board, we felt shoved away in a corner. The sewer connections were all open, which is a Federal and State misdemeanor. Site was gravel and very uneven. The RV Park gave a very run down appearance, grass looked cut but lacked edges, needing lots of care. We asked for air due to a low pressure in 1 tire which we did receive. The road in through the town is a nightmare and we asked before when making the reservation for directions as our GPS could not locate the place. When we mentioned the road, the comment was, "Oh I should have given you a different route. Too late when we had already arrived, grr..
This park is very quiet, well maintained and alongside Lake Buchanan, the water is very low but still accessible. The bathrooms are very clean and well maintained seemingly on a regular basis. No laundry facilities and a small children's playground. The sites are very spacious but not very level, although very shady. All have a fire ring and a above ground BBQ grill, alongside a gravel patio. Pets are allowed and as long as your pet is well behaved they can have a great time. I would have given this campground a higher rating but for the in-level sites.
Reservation was made ahead of time despite other reviews that stated otherwise. The receptionist was far from friendly, she was down right unhelpful. No site map, no assistance as to to how to find the site, "It's out there, they are all numbered sites." Big deal, thanks a lot. Round and around we drove, along very narrow strips of roads with tight bends. No host or work camper present. Eventually found the spot, yes it was a pull through but a very tight turn in. Went for free ice, none available all used up. Bathrooms covered with spider webs, and filthy, bowls splattered with human waste, no paper rolls as they were empty. Hand bowls and mirrors did not look as if they'd been cleaned for a long time. Laundry room was in reasonable condition. If you are looking for cleanliness and helpfulness, then this campsite is not for you. In one word: awful.
The restrooms never got cleaned in the 2 days we stayed here, restocked yes but never cleaned. The same dirty band aid was still on the floor as when we left. Black mold was all over the walls, trash never cleaned up inside and outside the restrooms. The check in staff were very good but the staff inside the campground most unfriendly and not a happy smile to be seen. The sites are very spacious but children wander around the sites with no respect for any privacy and do tend to be noisy. Large fires at almost every site even thou the temp was in the 85 plus area, I am unable to understand why people have 5 foot flames on hot nights, fires for marshmallows and cooking but not high flame thrower fires.
We paid our night rate and were then told that the only restroom available was in the laundry room and the activity room with the showers were closed for the summer season. Then we discovered that the laundry room closed at 9 PM and opened again at 7 AM. There was nobody else on the campground as it was summer and very hot. Yes the laundry got closed at 9 PM on the dot, goodness knows why, we were in a Pop-up so we needed the bathroom. We were most disappointed for a so called service industry to treat guests this way.
We were amazed at the low price and high quality of this campground. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were exceptional, also included shampoo/conditioner and liquid soap, very clean and well maintained. Satellite TV connection. All of this for $14 a night, unbeatable value, plus great restaurants nearby.
Polite staff on check in. Huge sites and very well maintained. A tent was allowed in the RV sites which we found strange and there was a fire ban. This did not stop 2 RV'ers lighting huge fires which were left unattended. Security came around and did absolutely nothing about the fires. This caused us concern about our safety. Very nice walking trails. Shame that tent owners left their dog inside the tent unattended which the dog then ripped the tent into pieces. The dog needed pacifying which we did until the owners returned, not the dogs fault and they treated the dog with compassion which was good.
Lots of concrete and not easy to get into the sites. The one way system and the official exit is impossible to navigate and use so the entrance also became the exit. Staff polite and restrooms clean with a combination lock system. I guess if you arrived after hours access would be restricted. This park is absolutely not pet friendly, so many signs saying don't do this with your pet and no pet run. Overall a very cold sterile park.
Very nice park, exceptionally clean and well maintained. Staff generally polite on check; in the process was smooth and courteous. Bathrooms clean although the floors did not look too sparkling although maybe it was the tiles, but they looked as if they needed better cleaning. One disturbing aspect was the male workamper reprimanded my wife for allowing our Labrador for urinating on a tree. Gee, it's only water what harm does it do, but I guess we are the guests and he's told what to do, although it did mar our visit and that was a shame. Otherwise our rating would have been higher.
