We traveled with our children 13, 10, and 3. They had a wonderful time. The older 2 tubed down the river and jumped off rocks into the creek and the younger one spent time with Yogi Bear. There were many activities planned and though not all were well run the children enjoyed them. Our site was large and grassy though kind of swampy from the recent rains- avoid row B if possible. The pools and public areas were clean and well kept, but the restrooms needed more attention. We will return. We feel we got good value for our money and the staff was excellent.
My children 13, 10, and 3 enjoyed the playgrounds and some of the activities- several planned activities were canceled without warning. There was an addition charge for somethings and the swimming pool was really tiny. The bathrooms were spotless and were the best we have ever used. The sites are really close together. Several are on gravel pads and have two or three foot drop offs that could be dangerous. My son was in a bike wreck and needed medical attention. The other campers were great but the staff were uncaring and didn't even want to extend check out time so we could attend a doctors appointment without the trailer. It was really expensive for the size site and we will look for a larger site else where next time.
The owners of the campground are wonderful. On arrival, they took us to the site and helped us get backed in. Any time we needed anything all week, they were willing to help. The sites are gravel and grass and were a little hard to get the rv level. Bathrooms and showers were very clean. There were a few planned activities during our stay and a bluegrass band one night was especially good. Our kids loved the playground and swimming pool. Our only complaint was that the campground was 20 minutes from Gatlinburg and 30+ from Pigeon Forge.
My family and I visited as a quick trip to try out our new camper. All the facilities were clean and well kept. They offered many free activities for the family- hay rides, stream stomps, hikes, etc. Sites were roomy with gravel and grass, most were shaded. Rangers were friendly and helpful.
