This was a very large campground with many mobile homes that appear to be used seasonally. Our site was okay. Nothing great, but nothing bad either. We were surprised to see that the facilities are advertised to be used by the local community. Although there is a snack bar and bar next to the very large pool, people outside the park can gain access to the facility by purchasing an arm band. It is a great place for kids. We did not have kids with us this time, so I would not really recommend it for "empty nester" couples.

What can we say about this park? It was something you have to see to believe. Private docks and Tiki Huts on the water behind your RV. Unbelievable. Each pad is privately owned. The owners rent out their spaces when they are not there. Each site is custom designed by the owner with different looking pads and landscaping. All sites have 50amp, water, sewer and cable. Our site had an outside TV in the Tiki Hut and an outside mini-kitchen with a small refrigerator so your drinks stay cold just steps away from the water. The sites are actually on a bay, not directly on the ocean. The water was clear and fairly shallow, but deep enough directly off the docks to jump in and swim. The owners put together a binder telling guests about the local spots. The staff were extremely helpful in our setup and was available to answer questions by phone. They met us at the gate upon our arrival to take us to our spot. The pool is very small, but we spent most of our time on the dock. A must see if you are taking your RV to the Keys. Well worth the extra money.

This park used to be a KOA. It is in the farming country just outside of Homestead. Not a good location if you are using it as a vacation spot. The pool was great. It was very large and there was beautiful landscaping around it. The restrooms that were near our RV were located in a trailer and not very clean, but that's probably because there was a large teenaged group nearby staying in tents. There are some seasonal RV's there, but they kept their spaces neat and clean. The trees were very mature and well maintained. Our site was on the grass. We prefer cement pads, but it worked out just fine. The staff at the park were very nice and helpful. We had no problems with anything.

Crystal Lake is an ownership community. It is gated and the front guard shack is manned until 7pm. There are sites on the lake for mostly motorhomes and some for 5th wheels for purchase. Some of the owners rent out their spaces for guests. In addition, there are many double-wide mobile homes. The park is absolutely beautiful! It appears that it is a snowbird community that is very active during the winter. The park was really quiet when we visited. We had a spot on the lake. Most lots are personally landscaped and the pads are cement and/or paveds. The roads are very wide. The people running the rental service were extremely friendly and helpful. The pools were amazing and open all night. The main clubhouse is open and the showers were so large and clean. They were designed with tiles that made it feel like you were in a 1st class, 5 star resort. The pool area is enclosed with screens so there is no worries about bugs. It was not a long drive to Naples and the surrounding areas. The only issue is that you need to go to the clubhouse to use the internet. That was fine with us since we loved the clubhouse and worked our schedule to work after/before a swim in the amazing pool. The internet connection was great, so it was worth it.

It was so difficult to pick an RV resort near New Orleans. They all looked pretty horrible. We decided on the KOA (it sounded the best) and we were glad we did. The actual grounds are fine. There were some really beautiful trees and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only reason it's not the highest rating is the area isn't the greatest and that there are no pull-throughs. However, their staff was GREAT in helping us back in to our site. Long drive to New Orleans, but that's to be expected from an RV camp.

This RV resort is one of the best we've ever been to. It was CLEAN and very well kept. The grounds were immaculate and there were beautiful palms and various flowering plants. The landscaping was just amazing. We had a pull-thru cement site with ample room for both of our slides and our truck. The swimming pool area was beautiful and it appeared that all were having a good time. The site is very close to the beach and all that Panama City has to offer. We would come back again and stay a full week. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The restrooms were so clean and perfect. They even have a "doggy" bath that was so clean. We don't have dogs, but were impressed with it anyway. If you are deciding which RV resort to stay in around Panama City, you will not go wrong with this one.

Our experience at this KOA was not favorable as the management is not available when you need them. The person they had to help us was not given the power to move us to another site. We had some trouble with the electricity (the power went out) and they were not helpful. When the electricity came back on, our brand new RV would not accept it. Later we discovered that our rig is so advanced, that it will only accept proper electricity. Anyway, we tried to move, but could not and had to run our generator all night. When asked for reimbursement of fees, we were basically told NO. The site was not that great either. Gravel site. Far away from Gulf Shores and other sites. Not in a really good spot unless you plan on just camping (no sightseeing). Restrooms were clean. Swimming pool looked fine.
