This is a really nice campground literally in a grove of oak trees with Spanish Moss. Had roomy sites, and was well laid out. Most were pull-throughs. Campground is convenient to Charleston and all the city has to offer. We enjoyed our short stay en route to Savannah.

Very friendly staff. Located right off I-10. Free Wi-Fi. Not a resort, but I very nice stopover spot. We will stay again.

We stopped here to take a break on our trip to Texas. This was perfect for our purposes. Staff was helpful and the park was clean and orderly. Pull-through sites were long. The sites were not very wide, but for our purposes that did not matter at all. All-in-all, a good value for the money.

We usually stay here as we pass through Virginia. The only downside was we did not get our Good Sam's discount because the young lady checking us did not put down her cell phone while we checked in. I think that this is just plain rude in a business situation. Even though she told me we had received the discount, I just checked the rates online and found that we paid the full rate. That will not keep us from coming back, but it was clearly unprofessional on her part.

The campground is pricy, but it is worth the price. It is located 2 miles from the Washington DC Metro station for easy access to downtown DC. Tickets are available at the office. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. A free Thanksgiving dinner is planned for all campers. The cafe prepares excellent breakfast. Given that the average family would pay 2 1/2 times for a hotel or motel in the area, this campground is not unreasonably priced. The facilities are clean and the campground well lit, maintained and secure. The sound of the beltway traffic may bother some but this is about the only camping alternative near DC. I highly recommend it.

We stayed in the newly opened sites and believe that the expansion of the campground is going to have a very positive impact. A warning: There is a LOT of construction going on that might bother some folks. We think that it is a sign of progress. It is typical Yogi Bear but we think that is a plus. When we get too old to enjoy watching children have fun, we need to come off of the road. Campground is very easy to get to off of I-81. We enjoyed ourselves.

This is a great stop off campground. Easy to reach from I-95. Pull through sites were large and fairly level. We have always been treated in a very friendly fashion. It is not a resort but a very acceptable campground.

This little campground is West Virginia capitalism at work. Since I am from West Virginia, I am not picking on us "hillbilles." A family has converted some bottom land into a small campground. It has a small rest room and shower facilities. The spaces are all gravel and 30 Amp. Half have sewer connections, but they also have a dump station. This campground is not fancy and getting to it can be a little intimidating to those who do not like "country roads." All that being said, this is an adequate stop off since it is right off I-79. The choices along this stretch of the Interstate are Wal-Mart or here. At least here you have connections. So you have been warned, but this may be the only port in the storm. It is clean and safe.

This is a state park that is being managed by a private company. The park was an absolute delight. Located on a large lake was lots of water activities available, this is an immaculately kept facility. Sites are huge and very level. The staff actually comes by each day and sweeps out the fire rings. Wild life abounds. Saw a bald eagle as we were leaving today. Tame deer roam throughout the entire park. The golf course is an Arnold Palmer design and the conference center looked magnificent. Perhaps a bit pricey but worth the money. Did not have to check in or check out. Reservation was brought out to me when I arrived at the gate. Receipt was delivered to my site.
