Very nice new park that is two years old. The area is another matter and could use more than just the big lake to visit. There are no places to eat. What's here is awful, but there is always fast food in Truth or Consequences, five miles away. No movie theaters, although there is a bowling alley. Just bring your own food with you. The park is all good and from gravel to concrete sites and all mostly level. There are three sections, but all nice and they are constructing a big recreation building right in the middle for the town with indoor pool and arts theater. We were on the monthly rate is the reason for the cheap rate. The park is first rate and we will always stay when passing through on I-25.
This was our 4th time staying here and although having no sewer hook up we still like this park. The brothers that own it are laid back and keep the place in decent shape. There is a dump on the property and the sites are ok and most level. Great views and the I-70 traffic noise is faint. They did have working Wi-Fi, too.
Very expensive rates. Very nice owner and always lots of goodies in the clubhouse for munching. Sites and road are very tight and road is noisy to a point of being disturbing. Choose a site on the river for more quiet. Most owners do not seem to be engaged and the park is relatively calm and quiet.
Very tight for big rigs. Had to back out of a pull through, due to trees so close to front of lot when leaving. Fair WiFi. Very friendly staff... Need to pave the roads, but the site was perfectly level and concrete. Great eats within minutes of park.
Not what I consider a nice place to camp. The facilities are non existent, except you can get Direct TV reception. No internet that worked and more dust than I have ever experienced. There is NO grass or even weeds. The noise from the oil pipe fabrication factory next door is 24/7 and very loud. There are only 3 spots available for travelers as 47 of the 50 spots have permanent resident trailers. I would like to say something nice and that is the staff were very nice. The park is not suitable for most big rigs unless no other options.
Always enjoy our stay and have been coming here since 2007. The grounds are kept well and the water features are great. Some of the Club area residents were rude and unpleasant to be around, while others were very nice. Wi-Fi is a coin toss, depending on where you are parked. Lots of good places to eat in Kerrville. We stayed as a guest of a "Club member lessee".
Great looking property. Not easy to see the entrance, and GPS will turn you a few hundred yards short. The park has good facilities and amenities. BIG PROBLEM is that employees have little to do other than one weekend a month so they are perpetually hanging around doing the same mowing and weed eating over and over and over. The noise never stops until dark. The grounds are a hodge podge of bad pavement and oddly laid out grounds. Even with only 3 people staying here, they bunch you together and will not maintain your site while you are on it, another thing I don't understand. Seems like cottage (Park model) sales are paramount and the campground is unimportant.
Great park worker "R" made a little switcharoo to accommodate us. The sites are NOT very level, although pavement is in good shape. Lots and lots of road noise, train noise, and dog barking. Glad to be in a Newell with good soundproofing. Overall this is an overnight place only. The casino is small and smelly although I did win $50. Good Chinese food two blocks away.
Other reviews on this site almost scared us off from staying, but we decided to try it for the two days we were in Iowa. The complaints are way overstated. There is highway noise, but not noticable in the coach, The sites were level and lots of trees. We are 47' and did not have issues with any branches or rocks and the park was clean and the people friendly. Yes the manager reads the rules to you and the policy made seem strict, but only for those who are not willing to be considerate of others. Very easy off route 80 and we would stay again if passing through. Nice pool too.
What a great park. The only complaint is terrible Wi-Fi. The property is very pretty and the facilities and amenities exceptional. The manager and his wife are really nice and helpful too. We would come back for sure. Came to stay a week and ended up staying two weeks. Nice social events too. Not much shopping or dining close by, but we can make up for it at our next destination. We have a 47' Newell and had no issues with space.
This park has easy access to the highway, but it is very tight and filled with 90% residents. Restaurant on site. They are not movable on the NO REFUNDS policy as we had an emergency and they refused to refund for days not used. Would not stay here again as the choices are many of other parks that would be more understanding. St Charles is a great little town to walk around in.
Not the park it used to be. The prices here have nearly doubled and they now ask for a $50 deposit in addition to full payment. This deposit is returned after you leave. This new policy does not appear on there website and have not experienced this anywhere else in years of travel. The sites are adequate are kept clean. All facilities and amenities are at the hotel next door. We have stayed here in the past.
Visited this park during Christmas week. Very friendly people and well kept grounds.spots are tight for a big rig, but we managed with no problems getting into our spot. A little noise from the overhead bridge, but not enough to keep you awake.overall a good place to stay.
This resort is not as good as it used to be. The internet was never working. The water lines were filled with air. The sewer was filled with sewer flies. The pads and supplied furniture were dirty with bird poo. There was very bad cell phone service using T-Mobile,Verizon and AT&T. It seems like they are only concerned with owners and rules enforcement. Very noisy from I-10. Services were far less than when we previously visited this park.
The only reasons I gave an 8 were that there is no grass and some train noise. This park is kept up very well and offers walking access to downtown Williams and the train into the Grand Canyon. Nice employees. Some sites are hard to level on, but most are fine. This is our second visit here and will stay here again next time we are out West.
Would give them much higher marks if there was some grass and fewer permanent residents, but this park is safe, clean and most of the people here are friendly and the staff very caring. Not a lot of room to move around and about 7 miles from the strip. We would always stay here in future visits.
Wi-Fi never worked and the broker did damage to our coach at check-in and promised to pay the costs , but now four days later has refused his responsibility and the management is avoiding us as well. They are hostile in interactions with us. The park is kept nicely and security is great.
This is our third visit to Tiger Run and we were very disappointed with how this resort has evolved. Our previous visits were much more pleasant with the exception of bad water pressure and smell. On this visit after being away for two years, we found dozens of park models (chalets) and a resident community. The Wi-Fi is horrible and the water problems worse than our previous visits. The word "resort" is no longer applicable and we felt the rate was twice the value. The campground is well maintained, but has become very tight due to all the park models and cars sticking out of the sites in the roadway. This is our last stay here as we feel this will soon be a resident only park.
We have previously enjoyed our stays here, but the attitude at Buckhorn has gotten arrogant and unfriendly with most of the employees. There policy and rules change with who you speak with and there are now excuses in place of the friendly help we use to receive. The park is still very nice but after being told that I need to sweep my own site clean after their mowing! They mow twice a week and no longer clean up the clippings. We will never stay here for an extended stay.
This park was a work camp with a single line for rigs to face the interior road. The lake behind was not really nice and seemed like an area that folks just walk the dog. The rear of the park is all perm residents and no RVs allowed. The location is convenient, but that's about it. Would not stay here again.
Great park but may be limiting on length for some. We have a 45' and length was tight. The sites are wide and well kept. Lots of nice families there. The beach is a short walk and beautiful. We will stay here again.
Even being surrounded by train tracks and highways this is a great park. Round the clock security and great store on site. The sites are clean and generous end spaces. The Arch is just across the bridge. We enjoyed everything there and would come back again.
Great little park behind a great Newmar dealer with a terrific store and free advice. The park is well done and the staff know there stuff. Sorry we could not stay longer. Big sites, friendly campers, quiet, and clean. Would stay again when in area and would use there service techs on my 09 Monaco Dynasty.
Noisiest park we ever stayed in. Freeway runs 30 feet behind the entire back of the park. Very hilly and spots mostly are sloped. Not the easiest to maneuver in. The sites themselves are roomy and grass. It is currently expanding with dozens more sites. We would not stay here again as it is too noisy from all sides.
Nice tree covered location.Employees very nice and keep a clean well cared for property. We had a premium site which was just OK for the $. Location is good with lots nearby.Too many full time residents and poor pet walks that are on the main roads. We would stay again even with these limitations.
We paid the monthly rate of 470 plus metered electric.Great employees. Most sites are not level as the concrete forms run with the contours of the property. Sites are generous, but landscaping at sites is poor. Smaller site plan than we thought and driving is tight. There is so much to do not far away which makes this quiet and a little remote park quite nice.We would stay again.
Lots of space for a 45' to stretch out. All facilities were newer. No views. No major noise issues. Close to everything. Owner is always there but does not invade your space. Very simple park and we would stay here again passing back and forth to and from Florida.
Spaces are very tight, landscaping moving toward dead in many areas and these spaces were not built for today's bigger rigs with slides. The park name is also quite deceptive as this park is in Mirimar Beach, which is miles south of Destin. It is a hike to the beach access. This park is not worth the price and we were charged a $9.21 reservation charge and have not ever experienced this in a private park. They also charged us a $2.00 water surcharge. Both these fees were never explained to us and everything was fully charged to our credit card prior to our arrival. I think the owners know that once people arrive they would not want to stay at these or any price if they had a modern rig. Anyone would want their money back and stay elsewhere for a fraction of the price.Only plus was proximity to beach. We would never stay here again.
We are fulltimers and have traveled to more than 300 parks across the USA, Canada and Mexico in the past 10 years and have NEVER been treated with such disrespect and arrogance. My wife was verbally abused by the front desk clerk and when I went to try to resolve the issue he threatened me. My wife and I were put in spot #240, which was nice but covered with cigarette butts and dirty. We experienced WIFI login problems and needed a new pass code. We called the office which is a bit of a walk from our site and I am currently recovering from heart surgery. Even with that, the clerk insisted that we come to the office to receive our pass code that should have been given to us upon check in, but he said he did not trust who we were on the phone and hung up on my wife. When we went to the office he lied by not admitting who he actually was and claimed my wife "cussed at him". He then slid out of the office. We went back to speak to the manager and the clerk called 911 and said "We were bad examples of RVers" after I told him he was an awful representative of the park. No manager was made available to speak to us in person or by phone. All we wanted was an internet pass code which we paid for at registration. We left the next morning sorry that we did not stay at one of the many other nice parks available in the area. This park was very convenient in it's location, but I would advise anyone to read all the reviews posted on RV Park Reviews prior to making a reservation. The people who work here appear to be bitter and arrogant and do not give you all the facts until after you have arrived and paid. They were all down right NASTY. We have never had such an experience. Because of the location they think the guests can be treated with no manners or courtesy. We also found that the laundries have NO change machines, requiring another walk to the office and the dryers produce little heat even though they are new (They are set so it costs you several dollars to dry one load of sheets and towels). The lawn sprinklers soak everything and barking dogs are not stopped by management at night. The employees we came in contact really ruined our time in West Yellowstone and seem as though they enjoyed our dismay.
Great property, except the tired landscaping and the constant cold winds. The beach is great for walking and the views spectacular. Management is excellent and there is 24/7 gated security. Would stay here again. Any size rig fits on the very large concrete pads.
This is what a RV resort should be. I can not say enough about the facilities and staff. We stayed for more than 2 weeks and will return anytime we are within the area. We even were able to get massages on site in the spa. We stayed in the adult only executive area.
The park was tired looking but the sites were clean and well kept. Bad water pressure everywhere. The employees were very nice and helpful. We were in the largest site on the property #301 and had friends visit with us and we all had a great experience. The WIFI was slow but we did not mind. The indoor pool was well kept and enjoyable.
What a great little place in the heart of the Redwood Forest. The owner Dean and his daughter keep this newer park immaculate. There is a new laundry and a great gift shop and grocery store. We stayed a week because it was so pleasent there and we felt like we were at home. There is NO cell service, but we did not mind being out of touch a few days.
This is one of the nicest parks in the Northwest. Bob, the manager, takes great pride in his park and so do all the other employees. We had car problems, and Bob drove us to town and then delivered a golf cart to our site at no cost for our entire stay because of his caring attitude for his guests. They usually charge $26 a day, but he felt it was just being a good manager providing us with some minimal transport due to our car issues. The park is on the golf course and the sites are very large. All the facilties, including the food in the restaurant, were exceptional. We WILL stay here again and again as the experience and the other guests were so wonderful. Your GPS will be confused and give you odd directions since the area is so new, so I would suggest you call as you get close. All the employees at the golf club were also terrific and made us feel like we wanted to stay longer.
This park was very well kept, and the employeees all helpful. They even have a church on the property. We especially liked the host who checked us in and who was constantly doing things around the park. Very convenient location and everything was as stated on the phone. Would stay again when in area. The grass and gravel sites were gigantic.
