We camp here every year. It is part of Lake Junaluska Conference and Retreat Center which is part of the United Methodist Church. The campground is across the road from the main retreat area. The lower sites do get highway noise. The campground is always clean and workers are pleasant. Very nice playground on site. A few sites have wooden decks. There are also camping cabins. Swimming is available across the street at the retreat center as is the walking trail around beautiful Lake Junaluska, museums, gardens, restaurants and a Cokesbury book store. Just a couple of miles from Maggie Valley, Waynesville, Cherokee and the Catoloochee area. The campground is tobacco and alcohol free. All sites have picnic table and fire rings. Some roads are gravel, some are paved. Several pull through sites. A great option for touring this part of NC. Do not have to be affiliated with the United Methodist Church to stay there.

A nice oceanfront campground. Sites are not huge but are grassy which is a plus at the beach. Very expensive for our family since base rate is for 2 people and we had to pay an extra daily fee for our two oldest children and our dog. Beach area wide and clean. Bath houses nice and clean.Pool large and clean. Plenty of fun things to do in the area. Kids could ride bikes and play at the playground. We will probably look for somewhere less expensive next time.

We were very pleased. We stayed in lake front site #14 which was huge. Completely level and all paved with concrete patio with picnic table and fire ring. Views were beautiful. Paved walking/biking trail around lake (approx. 1 mile) was great for the kids. Pool area and playground extremely nice and clean. Laundry room, exercise room and camp store all extremely clean and well-stocked. All restroom/bathhouse facilities clean. The bath house was "family style" which was wonderful since we have small children. All staff extremely pleasant. Grounds clean with constant attention from staff. Very quiet at night. About 30 min ride to Calabash, NC the "Seafood Capital" with many excellent restaurants and very close to area beaches and nightlife. We will return again and soon.
