We stayed here for a week the beginning of October. First the bad: no garbage cans anywhere in the CG. At the pet walks/run there is a small can with a small shovel but the CG does not provide pick up bags. I guess some people forgot theirs and did not go back to their site to get them being there were some piles around that make all pet owners look bad!! They only sell bundles of fire wood for $6.50 each, not wagon load so, that could get really expensive staying a week if you enjoy a fire at night. We stayed in the lower part of the CG in a pull thru behind the store. There is a upper part that is on a hill, but the sites there were pretty level and saw many large rigs going up, but we were glad we were down below. That's it on the bad. Everything else was excellent. The sites were nice size, good electric, water pressure, and cable. Their WiFi was one of the best I have seen in a CG in a long time. Escort to your site with help backing up if necessary. On site garbage pickup everyday and fire wood delivery right to your site. Nice camp store and clean bathrooms. They clean up every site before a new arrival comes in. There was a large oil stain on the gravel of one of the sites and we even saw a worker come by, rake up the oil stain and put new gravel down. We were amazed at the turnover in this place, as soon as a site opened the week we were there within a few hours a new arrival was in the spot again. Lots to do in the area within an hour or so drive, We will surely be back when in the area again. We love Vermont.

This CG was GREAT! Under new ownership with a new name. Other reviews with old name on here too. The workers were so nice the few things it lacked made up for it. The owners could not be any nicer in any campground! Good size sites, good voltage and water pressure, cable. Wi-Fi was from a 3rd party so it was extra but $5 for 2 days was not bad and had good connection. Jumpy pillow and game room for the kids. I even tried the pillow! Holy cow what fun!!! Pool was very clean even though it was closed being mid September. Tent sites right on the stream. Good size camp store, I had not mentioned I had Good Sam when booking and got a credit which worked out great because I ran out of propane for our grill and needed to get more. On-site garbage pick up twice a day. There are a lot of seasonal workers staying here that leave very early in the am and the camp road was very dusty but neither was anything you could not deal with. We did have GREAT weather and if there was heavy rain when you are there I could see it being muddy. But like I said what it may lack in some ways make up for it on others. If in the area we will surely stay here again!!

We stayed here for Labor day weekend. When we got here I was not too impressed. We had a site right on the river, which although nice, it was very tight (but doable). Was level but with a tree on our site there was not enough room to put our awning out. The fire ring and table was behind our MH right along the river. They definitely squeeze in the sites along the river that are FHU's. The sites with just E/W on the river, have much more room. The pull through sites are a very nice size and level too. But after being here a day, my initial thoughts have changed. Would love to have this CG closer than the 4 hours it took to get here, we would come back often. Overall nice CG. We would love to come back soon!

This is our 2nd stay here. The people are so nice, and the sites are pretty big. I would say that 80% of the sites are very level, and the others are nothing that is too bad. The campground is VERY well kept, all the lawns mowed, never see a paper or anything on the ground. We are coming again at the end of June for another weekend, and probably again before the end of the season! Actually, we are seriously thinking of getting a seasonal site here for next year!! You won't go wrong staying at the Copake KOA!!! On the border of Connecticut & Massachusetts in New York, so lots to do in the area!

The 2nd time that we have stayed here. We love it. Going back 2 more times this season. Nice sites, clean baths. The only reason I did not give a higher rating is because they charge a $5 "resort fee" and being it was early in the season they did not have the free pancakes on the weekends, no wine tasting, and no movies under the stars! Still lots to do if you wanted, but I feel that the fee should have been waived being that they didn't have all the perks that you should have got. Still a great CG and looking forward to going back this year!!!

Nice CG, clean good size sites. Big campstore that has almost anything you would need if you forgot something. They have a few tent sites along a pond on site that look very nice if your in a tent. They even have a wine store that has NY wine tasting on weekends. This is not far from our house so we will be back for quick weekend getaways!

We did not like Black Bear Campground. We stayed 3 nights and will not go back. They advertize that there are no steep grades, but you have to go up a big hill to get to the sites then drive down another to get back to the street. They really need to trim back some tree limbs here too!! Very tight for a 35.' I would not want to have anything bigger here! No, activities for campers, just an ice cream social one night. We even stayed Memorial Day weekend and figured they would have some things to do. Overall very disappointing!!

The CG was awesome! As stated in other reviews, the sites are a bit tight, but very doable, and level. The owners were very helpful in places off the beaten path. Just ask them! Very centrally located in the Amish Country. If you want a clean, quiet, affordable site: Beacon Hill is the place for you! A working Amish farm located right across the street. (The smells of a working farm!) Also, this is an adult only (16 and older) CG. We stayed 4 nights and would come back!
