First trip in first RV. Stayed here overnight on the way to Atlanta, Ga from Texas. No hookups at all on our site. It was a curved pull through on the 'new' section. Lot of low branches, our 29' motor home is 11'2" tall and we hit quite a few. There were branches on the roof at our site. I climbed on the roof and pulled them out of the way. Glad I have a fiberglass roof, not rubber. Did not check out any of the amenities - set up after dark and left early next morning. Rate for the site was $12 plus $6 admin fee, so if you stay more nights, it is cheaper per night.
First trip in first RV. Passing through on the way to Atlanta. We called to reserve a spot and got voice mail. Received a call back, got our reservation. Set up at dusk, no one at the office. Grabbed a payment form and envelope and dropped the payment in the drop slot. Never saw anyone at all. Full hookups and relatively quiet place for an overnight stop, nothing to complain about. Quite a lot of 'permanent' residents in the park.
Our first trip in our first RV! We were staying here to visit family in Atlanta. I had read previous reviews and was a little nervous because we were having family visit us here at the campground. When registering, I asked about having visitors and was told it was no problem. The manager explained that they had only been there 2 weeks because the previous management was lacking in 'customer service'. She had worked for KOA for many years before and she was super helpful and friendly above and beyond what I expected. The first spot we were assigned had the hookups set up for a fifth wheel or travel trailer. When I asked about changing, she was very helpful and walked the spots with me until we found a good fit for our rig. The following morning I had to interact with the person at the registration desk and was again amazed at how helpful they were. I spoke with her and mentioned being nervous because of the negative reviews. She replied that she knew they had a bad reputation from the previous management but were going to so everything in there power to earn the trust of campers again. I walked around the campground and everything was clean.
