Very nice people running this place. They came out to me when I pulled up, to provide directions to my space. They also mark the spaces with orange cones so it will be easier for you to find your spot. The park is very quiet, and dog friendly. The park is very near the Kemah Boardwalk, and there is plenty of shopping in nearby Houston. I would return to Marina Bay RV Resort again.
Nice people for after hours check-in. Sites are pretty close together, and not much shade. The park is behind a large hill facing the ocean, so you can't see the water. There is a large wooden deck, and winding trail leading to the beach. This was a family friendly place, with a lot of tent camping. The crowd was pretty tame, and not too loud. The beach itself it not that nice (not the fault of the facility). The water is very muddy. And the general area is surrounded by chemical plants and factories, so there are many places along the drive to the park that smell. But the park itself does not have any odors.
Very close to Monterey. The park was obviously built before coaches grew to the 40-45 foot sizes we see today. There is not enough room to pull in with a dingy and I had to unhook outside the park. There are no pull-throughs, and the site are short, and not very wide. It took me 5 minutes to navigate my 40 footer into the spot. The road is so narrow, that it takes quite a bit of backing up, pulling forward, and again and again to get into a spot. I also couldn't put out both sides of the slides, as the spots were too narrow. The electrical box was in really bad shape and in need of repair. The only interaction I had with staff was when I checked in, and the girl at the desk was not overly friendly. There are no fenced in areas for dogs, but it is a very short walk to the beach with good sandy hills and great views of the mountains. The RV park is right next to a highway, so you can hear traffic all the time if your air conditioner isn't running. Overall the place was OK, but I might try to look around for another option next time.
Very nice and clean space. The clubhouse is very well kept, and so are the grounds, pool, and hot tub. Great staff with plenty of information on local attractions (like Sea World and downtown San Antonio). They also have a massage room, and they coordinate appointments for local massage therapists. I had a massage and it a great luxury to walk a very short distance from my coach to the club house. The campground is a little bit of a drive from downtown San Antonio, but worth it. It's secluded, off of a local 2 lane road, and very quiet and safe. I've been 3 times and enjoyed myself every time. Highly recommended.
Great huge sites. I was able to get a pull through site with enough room for my 40 footer, pulling a Ford Excursion, and I didn't have to unhook. They both fit in the spot! It had quite a bit of elbow room and I loved it. They also have 2 dog runs that are fenced in and clean. My dogs really enjoyed the ability to run around and play catch. The views of the mountains are beautiful, and the place is very family-friendly. No noise at all. I was able to jog around the park at night and it was a very safe and comfortable place. Also, as mentioned by previous postings, they offer BBQ delivered to your rig. I place my order and it showed up nice and hot, and was a great tasting BBQ and a great value considering the amount of meat and veggies included. I would absolutely recommend this place, as the staff is very nice and considerate. They even added notes, by hand, to local maps to help you find your way to the attractions (like Carlsbad Caverns). Top notch service. (I can't remember the rate I paid so I guessed $50 above).
