Beware of the speed bumps as you enter the park. We nearly tipped our RV going over the first one! The park has many permanent and long term residents. The lady manager was nice but not in the office much. We were here on a Utah holiday which fell on a Thursday and the office was closed for 4 days in a row. During those four days, we went to bed every night with firecrackers being shot off for hours at a time (one night until after midnight) and one morning awakened by a party going on next door with the stereo booming at 4:15 am. Our dog was so terrified by the firecrackers, he wouldn't even go outside for his last trip at night. On the plus side, the rates are good, the laundry is excellent and cheap and there is a big grassy area behind the office where you can walk the dog. After this experience, I will make sure from now on that if we stay in a mobile home community it is for 55 and over. We stayed here 6 nights.
Nice park. Big trees, good views at the back of the park. Great gift shop and T-shirts and souvenirs were cheaper than at Capitol Reef National Park. Sites were large with picnic tables and fire pits and a small patch of grass. We stayed here 2 nights and would stay again.
This "park" is down a 2 mile long dirt road. It is a surprise when you arrive though because you are camped with full hookups in a very remote setting. However, your rig will be filthy and also your tow if you have one. The manager did say to use all the water we wanted to wash them off (which we did) but then we got covered in dirt again on the day we pulled out. There is WiFi but you have to be parked close to the office and no rigs in between you to get it. Our Verizon Jetpak didn't even work as we couldn't get even a 3G signal. Verizon cell phones only worked on roaming and service was spotty. There's one gas/convenience store in Long Valley Junction so don't expect much. If you can handle the dirt on the rig and the inconvenience of having no WiFi or cell, this is a great home base to explore the area from. We went to Bryce and Zion while staying here.
Very nice camp host and campground well maintained. Our rate was based on our senior pass rate. Camped here 2 nights while we explored the North Rim. We had a pull through site but it was barely big enough for our 37' motor home and tow. No hookups and did not use the bathrooms. Beautiful scenery in the tall pines. Would stay here again on our way through.
Park is an OK place for the night if you dry camp. However, we were later told by an RV technician not to sign the form concerning the erratic power supply. We awoke in the night to the sound of our A/C trying to run but not putting out any air. Thinking our A/C needed repair, the next day when we got to Las Vegas we called a mobile RV repairman and told him of the problem and about the electric problem at the park. He said to not, under any circumstances, plug into their electric (or any other park with this problem) as it could blow the internal surge protection of the RV. He suggested we would be better off to park in a Wal-Mart lot and run our generator.
Very pretty park with lots of trees. Hilly with some dip areas, but not too bad. Lots of permanent or seasonal residents, but a well kept park. Laundry facilities were excellent. There is also an in-park RV service repair guy who doesn't charge for service calls within the park. He was very helpful for a propane leak detector that malfunctioned while we were there. Park owner was very helpful and friendly. It is quiet and secluded, but within 10 minutes of major shopping and about 20 minutes from downtown Seattle. We camped here for 12 days and would definitely stay here again.
Nice gated park. They messed up our reservation and had us down for the next night. We had reserved a Deluxe Plus pull through but did not get it because of the reservation mess up. They did adjust the rate for us though. Had a hard time parking so that we could get our main slide out because of the utility box being located in an awkward place and our neighbors had the same problem. Nice grassy sites with picnic table and very pet friendly except for breed restrictions. Would definitely stay here again.
