Rate is Passport America. Do pay attention to posts about getting to the campground. You take exit 1-c off Interstate 240/26. At the bottom of the ramp is a sign that says turn here. Don't. Go 150 feet farther to the RV repair facility. That's the office. Then you have to swing across the road into a turn lane to get into the park. Once you're in, it's a nice place. On the bank, literally, of the French Broad River which was very clear when we were there. The owner was a neat fellow. We gave it a 9 instead of 10 because we don't know anything about park amenities. Nice concrete pads. Full hookup. Easy to back into from a very wide center area. Local (paved section) of the greenway goes through the middle of the park. It's close to the West Asheville Arts District and neat local restaurants about a mile or so east; the standard row of chain restaurants, about a mile or so west. Convenient spot to access the entire Asheville area and pleasant to return to.

Nice park for an overnighter. Just off I-40. Up a gravel road. Nearly level asphalt pads. Nice, friendly staff. Full hookups. Didn't try the Internet or other amenities. Just stopped for the night. Looks to be a combination mobile home park; campground for seasonal or permanent residents and sites for travelers. Big dog walk but not fenced. We'd definitely stop there again.

We enjoyed a two night stay here. The campground, while large, has more tent and small camper unit spaces than larger units. Having just left Walt Disney World, driving the curvy paved roads, heavy with vegetation, was like a continuation of the Disney trip. The staff was excellent to work with. Gave lots of good information. We didn't use the CG facilities so can't comment. CG is well maintained and clean.

We stayed at Lake Aire over the Thanksgiving weekend. Due to late arrival our site had no sewer hookup. We were very pleased with the people and the campground. From our perspective, they pay attention to details. It is 12 miles from Charleston and there's a lot to do around there. That there are a number of no sewer hookup sites lowered the rating. We moved to a site with sewer hookup for the last night and if we'd had full hookup the entire time, it would be an easy 10. The trains do come by quite frequently... but it didn't bother us. We would definitely stay here again when in the Charleston area.

The Corps of Engineers, in this case, knows how to do RV. One of the nicest, most relaxing, lovely campgrounds we have been to. Efficient check-in. Easy setup. Lots of room. Everything convenient and well organized as COE campgrounds tend to be. This campground is listed as Cattahoochie, Florida and it is less than a 1/4 mile from main street, but it's also located in Georgia. Small town. Couple of adequate restaurants. One of the more enjoyable one night stopovers we've had recently. Gets a 10 without sewer and cable.

Rate is Passport America. We arrived late (after dark) and left early. Our impression is of a completely adequate campground, although it was a stopover not a destination. The owner met us and took us to our site, helped us park and made sure we were satisfied. Very nice guy, enjoyable and made effort to be helpful. Many campground occupants appear to be semi-permanent.

We were here for a couple of nights. Very pleasant. Staff was efficient, friendly, were ready for us. Location is convenient to Memphis area. Everything we wanted in a good campground was here, including a lot of room. I liked the campground layout. Although pads are about 10-feet apart, they are at a 45-degree angle so are never really close to your neighbor. We will be going back to be sure.

We give the Maumelle Park an almost excellent (9) rating because we assume everyone knows you rarely have sewer hookup, Wi-Fi, phone, or cable at a COE site. Everything else is excellent. Paved pads mostly level. River front in the A & B loops. Note in A there is a marina in much of the view. This is a clean, well maintained campground. We rarely use campground showers, but these are clean, the water hot, each shower is a separate private area, not a group thing with stalls. We enjoyed it and will return. Met a number of fulltimers who were staying there and they approved as well.

We found this to be a very pleasant park. Plenty of room between units, shady, close to the Arkansas River. Didn't have sewer hookups or other amenities. Hosts were congenial and helpful. Park was clean. Only real negative was the sign pointing to the entrance is real small and low to the ground. We will definitely come back here again.

There can be many reasons to be negative about a park, but in the end, did you enjoy your stay? We enjoyed Buccaneer. While still recovering 5 years after Hurricane Katrina, the park is getting itself together. We stayed in one of the two back loops that are open. Nice shade in hot sunny weather; short walk to a small beach. Would have liked Internet access for the price, and after heavy or extended rain, the area between pads can be soggy.

We were a bit disappointed. We needed a night's stop; found the campground tight... no Internet or cable. Access roads were all quite narrow. Blacktop sites were partially level. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. It wasn't the quality we expected. The park itself wasn't open yet. We might stay there again.

This was a nice park. Spacious between units, well laid out. Amenities for hotel guests are available for RV campers. Downside - No Internet. Cable was 13-14 channels... obviously they'd rather you were inside the casino and not watching TV. In the Mississippi River Delta flat country... no shade. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

We enjoyed this campground. Cable and Internet would have been a very nice addition. At this point having a strong Internet connection is important. Campground is nicely maintained; sites sufficiently separated; easy access. Pleasant owner who cares about his campground.

A very nice experience. Concrete pads, easy access, excellent check-in. They promote Passport America, which actually did pay for itself. Only drawbacks are lack of Internet throughout the park and lacking shade, which in the late spring and summer in Mississippi and Louisiana result in the a/c running constantly. We would definitely come back here.
