Beautiful state park. Best view around. Clean and tidy. The bathrooms were clean, and the showers were free. Hard to find the entrance coming from the north. We found the southern entrance and drove back in, but it wasn't far and worth the trouble. Lots of tenting sites. Most sites plenty big for our 31' fifth wheel. Covered ramada over the picnic tables. Water and sewer dump close by. Good place to stop on the way to Las Vegas. We'd stay here again.
We have spent 4 1/2 months at Desert Trails. This is our first year here, and we've re-booked to come back next year. This is a community based RV park. All the activities are geared for everyone's interests. Check out their website, but these are some of the activities not listed that take place; tai chi, aerobics/yoga, line dancing, creative writing group, painting class, square dance lessons, bingo, 2 hiking groups (easy and challenging), 2 biking groups (easy and challenging), games night, sewing club, karaoke, crafts, photo club, RV travel club. There is a terrific heated pool and large hot tub, exercise room, TV room, Rec Hall. The owner brings in live entertainment twice a week, and there's always a dance with live music every month. Pot luck lunch and breakfast, and park picnics. There's so much to do here we have to make the time to leave the park to explore Tucson and area. If you want a place where you can just sit in your RV and not get involved, don't stay here. There's plenty other places in town for that. Out here everyone is friendly. This is the best place for having fun. That's why we'll keep coming back.
