The friendly staff at this park guides you in parking amid their many trees. Roads are paved; sites are gravel with concrete patios and towering trees crowded alongside. Basic utilities were good, wifi was very slow, a weak off-network AT&T phone signal could only be reached with a roof-mounted antenna; satellite TV reception was unexpected but good due to lucky site assignment. The office had books and DVDs available. Bathrooms were very clean. We would stay here again. The rate reflects a Good Sam discount.

This small, quiet, friendly fish camp is on two levels: the upper level near the road is mostly old mobile homes and permanent RVs, the lower level on the river is short term and more attractive. Interior roads are gravel, sites are grass and there is adequate maneuvering room. The only two full hookup sites on the lower level are strongly sloped. Electric is good, water pressure is low but functional, wifi is fairly good, AT&T phone/data service in the area is good. The boat ramp is badly silted in and non-functional at low tide. The price reflects the weekly rate.

Poorly delineated sites and roads meld together as large swaths of gravel surrounding islands of grass and trees for tent campers. RV sites are close together with no sense of privacy. Basic utilities are good; wifi was very slow and frequently interrupted. AT&T phone and data service was adequate in the area. The area was quiet except for occasional, distant train whistles. The price reflects a Good Sam discount for a back-in water and electric site.

The location right on the highway provides road noise to accompany the easy access. Interior roads and sites are level gravel. Concrete patios and grass separate sites; mature trees provide shade. Pull-through sites go preferentially to those staying only one night. AT&T phone service was good in the area but data service was slow. The park provides good cable and slow wifi. Basic utilities were good with rather high water pressure. Restrooms and laundry were old but clean. The rate includes a Good Sam discount.

This park is thoughtfully designed with paved interior roads, concrete patios, and level gravel sites. The gravel is very large and loose so that it shifts under foot and wheel but that proved to be only a minor annoyance. The utilities, including Wi-Fi and cable, were very good. AT&T phone and data service was good in the area. The restrooms, laundry, game room, and library were all clean and attractive. Road noise was not obtrusive. The rate is based on the weekly rate. We would stay here again.

The friendly new owners of this park are industriously working to make improvements. Interior roads and sites are level and gravel, slightly narrow but with generous grassy areas between sites. Mature trees provide shade. There is road noise from the adjacent rural highway. Utilities, including Wi-Fi, are very good. The restrooms and laundry room are clean and attractive. The small, on-site restaurant was a very pleasant touch. The price is based on the weekly rate. We would be happy to stay here again.

The highway borders the park making it very easy to access but noisy. Interior roads and sites are gravel and easily navigated. There is no shade, many permanent residents, side by side hookups on the pull-throughs, and good basic utilities. Establishing a connection to the WiFi was very slow, but worked adequately after that. AT&T phone service was good, but data service was very poor in the area. The appearance was scruffy and unkempt with weedy grass and dog feces so thickly sprinkled about as to make walking from door to vehicle difficult.

This is an older park with friendly and conscientious new owners. Interior roads and sites are a continuous level gravel area marked off with landscape timbers. Many mature trees provide generous shade. Sites are very close together so that parking a large unit, or watching others units gently maneuver into position, can be cause for trepidation. Basic utilities are good, WiFi is slow and intermittent, AT&T phone/data service is good. The park provides some playground area and group pavilion but was surprisingly quiet, especially at night.

Cabins and a wide variety of sites are available at this campground. Small, grassy sloped sites may be only suitable for tents but some level, gravel sites can accommodate large RVs. Most sites are closely spaced and offer no sense of privacy. The laundries, restrooms, and pool were clean and inviting. AT&T phone and data service were good in the area. Basic utilities were good but the WiFi was very slow and scarcely usable. The price includes a Good Sam discount.

This is a very attractive park that is thoughtfully designed and meticulously maintained. Interior roads and level sites are gravel and easy to maneuver. The nearby interstate adds background traffic noise. The trees between sites are young and offer no significant shade. Utilities work well though the WiFi cuts out at times. AT&T phone and data both work well in the area. The hosts are attentive and friendly. The price reflects a Good Sam discount. We would stay here again.

This city park has wide paved pull-through sites and some shade from mature trees. Water pressure and electrical connection were both good, there is no sewer hook-up, AT&T phone and data services were good in the area. The park is fronted on two sides by major streets so there is traffic noise. A dark, cinder-block restroom and shower house is available in another section of the park that has smaller, back-in sites. Little information is available regarding check-in but an honor system box to receive payment is available. We would stay here again if passing through the area.

This nicely maintained park has attractive landscaping, pool, and lounge areas. Laundry and restrooms are neat and clean. Interior streets are paved and wide enough to make up for the parallel parking common in front of sites. Sites are slanted, fairly close together, and defined by painted lines on a continuous swath of pavement. Pull through sites are a combination of back to back regular sites with several feet of dirt and gravel in the middle to bump over. High curbs add a very jarring note to entry and exit of sites. Basic utilities were good but WiFi was slow and erratic. Airplane and traffic noises were commensurate with the city environment. The price reflects a Passport America discount which the friendly staff suggested we use.

The park is friendly and provides some family activities such as fishing. The interior roads are gravel and lead to gravel/grass sites that are far from level and offer no feeling of privacy. Many sites look as though they have been occupied for years with little maintenance. That and the overflowing dumpsters lead to a very scruffy look. Utilities, including Wi-Fi were good; AT&T phone and data service were good. Some train noise was heard. The price is based on the Passport America rate.

This park has paved interior roads and level gravel sites with some shade. There were some long-term campers but their sites, as well as the entire park, are neat and well-maintained. Overnighters were mainly directed to the side-by-side pull-through sites but the friendly owner directed us to a less trafficked spot since we were staying for several days. Utilities were good; Wi-Fi was excellent and free for one computer, access for a second computer was only an extra dollar per day; AT&T phone and data service were available in the area. Train noise was frequently heard but not terrible. The price reflects a Good Sam discount. We would stay here again.

This park’s easy accessibility from the interstate is accompanied by some traffic noise. Level gravel sites and paved interior roads were easy in and out but there was no landscaping to add a vestige of privacy. Some sites, especially around the perimeter of the park, had long-term occupants. The laundry room, restrooms, and clubhouse were clean and attractive. Utilities were good, AT&T phone and data service in the area were also good. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The price reflects the Escapees discount.

This neatly maintained park is well designed with landscape timbers enclosing fine gravel patio areas between its level gravel sites. Numerous trees and shrubs embellish the park. Utilities were generally good, though water pressure was a little low. WiF was very slow. AT&T phone service was good; data service was slow. Check-in at the gas station was attentive and friendly. The laundry, lounge area, and restrooms were clean. The price reflects an Escapees discount. We would stay here again if passing through the area.

The short-term RV park here is part of a larger community that includes privately owned sites with manufactured homes, park models or RVs with support structures. Everything was very well-maintained and attractive. Common areas included picnic grounds, a basketball court, clubhouses, a pool, hot tub, patio and exercise area. Interior roads are paved as are some sites. Sites are very, very generously sized. Basic utilities were good, Wi-Fi was adequate, cable included dozens of channels, AT&T phone and data worked well in the area. The rate reflects a Passport America discount. We would be very happy to return to this park.

This nice quiet park has good utilities, including good wi-fi. Interior roads and sites are level gravel and easy to maneuver. Desert garden areas, a very good library and excellent restroom/shower areas add a lot of value to the park. AT&T phone and data worked well. Staff and residents are friendly and welcoming. The rate reflects a Passport America discount. We would be happy to stay here again.

The Ranch is friendly and welcoming with paved interior roads leading to large sites, some of which are paved. Utilities were reliable and included softened water, cheap electric rates and reliable Wi-Fi. AT&T phone and data worked well. The area is fairly far from town and off the road so it is quiet. The rate is an introductory special for Escapees members. We would stay here again.

This park is easy to access and maneuver through. Sites are gravel pull-throughs and have paving stone patio areas with picnic tables, landscape plants and some fencing separating them. Artistic touches are evident around the grounds. The utilities were reliable and included good Wi-Fi. AT&T phone and data worked well in the area. There was road noise from the nearby highway. The restrooms, lounge, laundry and pool area were clean and well maintained. We would stay here again.

The park occupies a hilltop near the highway so traffic noise is very evident. Some interior roads are fairly steep but the sites are nicely leveled. Roads and sites are gravel; many of the sites are pull-through. Basic utilities worked well but the Wi-Fi was out of service throughout our stay. The buildings and common areas were very attractive and included a kitchen, game room, exercise room, clubhouse, restrooms, pool and patio. AT&T phone and data worked very well in the area. The price reflects a Passport America discount. We would stay here again.

A short stretch of bad road leads to this friendly and attractive park on the water, south east of Houston. Pads and interior roads are concrete. Sites are generous and some are pull-throughs. Utilities, including Wi-Fi are good; the clubhouse, pool, laundry and restrooms are clean. AT&T phone and data work well in the area. Many of the residents are long-term seasonal or workers but they are neatly maintained. The price reflects the weekly rate. We would stay here again.

This park is clean, quiet, attractive and well maintained. Sites are well laid out concrete pull-throughs separated by grass and some young trees. Unfortunately, fire ants were plentiful in the grassy areas. The utilities were reliable and included strong Wi-Fi and generous cable offerings. The clubhouse, pool, laundry and restrooms were very nice. Shuttles to the casino run through the park. There is a $5 discount for weekdays and a coupon was available on the website for free nights. We would be happy to stay here again.

This is very much a work camp with many long term residents. The interior roads are gravel as are the level pads. Sites are closely spaced and side by side. There is no landscaping or privacy. Utilities, including wi-fi, worked well though the sewer connections were fairly high out of the ground. Some shade was available. Noise from the road was minimal but resident activities were extremely noisy at times. The owner was friendly and welcoming.

The narrow single lane road into this riverside campground would be a problem if anyone was using it in the opposite direction. Once in the campground maneuvering is easy with gravel roads and sites that stayed firm even with torrential rains. Basic utilities were good, wi-fi was very good, AT&T phone/data service was unavailable and shade trees blocked satellite access. Many sites are occupied by seasonal campers. The host was friendly and helpful.

Easy access just off the highway with some road noise, this park offers a convenient overnight. The interior road is gravel, sites or grassy gravel, and pull-through is an available option as long as the meadow is firm enough to drive through when leaving. Basic utilities worked well, AT&T phone and data reception was good, restrooms were clean, no shade meant satellite reception was good. There are no activities at the park but the friendly and helpful host provides suggestions for the area. The price reflects the Escapee discount. We would stay here again.

This park is near the highway and easily accessed but plagued by road noise. Interior roads and sites are paved. Sites are generously sized, pull-through and level with grassy areas between sites. There is only minor shade, no landscaping and no privacy between sites. Basic utilities were good, wi-fi was reliable, AT&T phone reception was good but AT&T data was very weak. This works well as a stopover but no activities are available on site. The price reflects the Escapees discount.

This well organized and efficient operation provides a very good location for exploring the capitol. Utilities, including cable and wi-fi, were very good. Interior roads are paved; most sites are level gravel with fire-rings and tables. Trees and undergrowth between roads add privacy but road noise was pervasive. Restrooms and showers are large, clean and well-lit. Amenities include well-stocked camp store, pools, playgrounds, hot tub, sauna and an on-site bus stop that connects with the D.C. Metro system. The large and friendly staff was busy throughout the park keeping things in good order (except in the laundry where many units were out of order). The price reflects the Good Sam discount.

Gravel interior roads lead to gravel level sites with a lot of shade. Facilities were worn and unattractive. Basic utilities were good but there was no cable or wi-fi. The park was not heavily occupied and most of the occupants were seasonal or permanent. Some activities were available in the form of a basketball court, pool (closed) and pavilion. Both residents and staff were friendly.

This heavily wooded park has paved interior roads and sites but can be difficult for big rigs. Many sites are short or not level, roads are narrow and trees crowd both roads and sites. Electric was good, water is awkwardly placed and requires long hoses at most sites. The park is very quiet and sites offer good privacy. AT&T phone and data service was good.

Access to this park is easy but leaving can be a challenge due to busy traffic. Gravel interior roads lead to pull through sites of mixed gravel and sand. The park is heavily shaded but good cable makes satellite reception unnecessary. Basic utilities were good but wi-fi was weak. The bath and shower facilities were very good. The game room, lounge, laundry and office were clean, well-kept and attractive. Easy access to bike trails at the rear of the park was a plus. Traffic noise was constantly in the background.

The wide variety of sites at this park can accommodate campers from tents to big rigs. Paved interior roads are a bit narrow, many sites are curved or not level but others are generously sized with privacy provided by ample landscaping. The reservation system offers a lot of information but the high occupancy rate allows little flexibility once you’ve arrived. Electric and water were good, discharge of grey water without a sewer hookup is allowed, no wi-fi, no cable, good AT&T phone and data service, some TV reception via antenna, mostly satellite friendly, limited road noise during the day that quiets down at night, playgrounds tennis and basketball facilities are available. Use of air conditioners is not allowed. Alcohol is not allowed. We would stay here again.

Closely spaced back-in sites arranged around a large central open area are easy to maneuver into but offer no privacy. Sites are level gravel with concrete patio pads. Electric, water, sewer and cable were all good; wi-fi was not functional at our site (far away from the office area). AT&T phone and data worked well. The staff was friendly and helpful, grounds and laundry were maintained well, there are no recreation or amusement facilities at the park. We would stay here again.

This campground has three distinctly different camping areas: a) open grassy field, b) wooded and c) grassy seaside. The seaside area has full-hookup grass sites accessed by a narrow gravel road making the back-in of a 35 foot fifth wheel a little tight, but do-able. Basic utilities are good; cable is good; Wi-Fi is slow, free for ½ hour per visit and $3/hr after that. Cell phone service in the park is from a Canadian provider. A few sites offer unobstructed views of the water and would be worth a return visit.

This large park is occupied mostly by permanent or seasonal visitors, but provided a very adequate overnight stop. The gravel interior roads lead to generously sized gravel/grass sites. Basic utilities are good, cable is very good, Wi-Fi was poor at our site. AT&T phone and data service is available in the area. The price reflects the Passport America discount.

This small, friendly campground is well-groomed and attractively laid out to provide quiet and privacy. Basic utilities are good but Wi-Fi is just okay (slow and prone to interruption). Gravel interior roads lead to level gravel RV sites or grassy tent sites. Many sites have sturdy pavilions over the picnic tables. Mown, grassy paths wind through the park connecting sites to the small pier or rocky water overlook. Restrooms are worn, but clean. The laundry facilities consist of a single washer and dryer. The host will deliver freshly prepared lobster to your door. We would be happy to stay here again.

This attractive park has good gravel interior roads and sites that are generous, level and well-graveled. Many of the sites feel quite private with trees and undergrowth screening the sides. The utilities are good including the Wi-Fi and cable. Trails, pool, game room and other activities are available. There is no AT&T phone or data service in the area. The park is popular with families, ATV riders and seasonal visitors but still offers a quiet woodsy atmosphere. We would stay here again.

This friendly park has gravel interior roads and sites that are level and easily maneuvered. Sites are separated by grassy areas giving some space but no privacy between neighbors. Basic utilities are good, Wi-Fi is a little slow but good, cable hookup is very good and the lack of shade makes satellite reception easy. AT&T phone service was available in the area. There is a clean laundry, nice pool, playground and walking path. We would stay here again.

Level grassy sites are accessed by bumpy gravel interior roads in this nicely wooded park. All utilities were very good, including cable and Wi-Fi. Bathrooms and showers are basic and worn; a Laundromat is available at the entrance to the park and a nice above ground pool is available. AT&T phone and data service were very good in the area. There is some road and quarry noise during the day but it is quiet overnight. The road to the park is quite steep. We would stay here again.

This is a busy park with many seasonals as well as a steady stream of one night occupants. Interior roads are gravel; most sites are side by side, closely spaced and fairly level gravel. There are many activities available including fishing, hiking trails, swimming, electronic games and a playground. Musical entertainment on Saturday vibrated our unit until shortly after 11. Water, electric and sewer worked well, Wi-Fi was good when present, but had frequent short outages. AT&T phone service was from an affiliate. The rate shown reflects the Good Sam discount.

rating [ 8/10 ]
The quiet peaceful nature of this park was enhanced by staying midweek so most of the seasonal and transient sites were unoccupied. We stayed in the big rig section which was level grass accessed partly by gravel interior road followed by driving through a grassy meadow. Many sites are heavily wooded. Wi-Fi was slow but other services were good. Phone service was good and directly from AT&T but data service was from an affiliated provider. The many minor roads necessary to find the park are poorly marked. It is a Good Sam park but the discount is not offered for the first night when making reservations.

This park consists of a level open grassy area at the top of a steep hill accessed by rough road. Interior roads are gravel. Sites are grass. Water pressure is low, but the 50 amp electric is good. There are no sewer hookups, Wi-Fi or cable. AT&T phone service is from an affiliate, but is very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rate shown reflects the Passport America discount.
07/2013
rating [ 8/10 ]
The park is well maintained with paved roads, level gravel sites and neatly mown lawns. Electric, water and sewer hookups are good, but Wi-Fi is slow. Phone service was from an AT&T affiliate and very weak. Trees are mostly small so satellite signal was easy to achieve. The park is very near the highway passing through Berlin and has some road noise (as well as the clip-clop sound of horse drawn conveyances). The rate shown is discounted if the stay is longer than two nights. We would stay here again.
07/2013
rating [ 9/10 ]
Paved roads, concrete pads, neatly trimmed grass, and trees lend an air of suburban attraction to this park. Utilities, including Wi-Fi, worked well. Many sites are satellite friendly and over the air TV stations were available. The park was very full but quiet and peaceful. We would be happy to stay here again.
03/2013
rating [ 7/10 ]
The friendly staff at this park is welcoming and helpful. Interior roads are mostly gravel. Sites are a mixture of grass and gravel, but large and level. Some sites are very shaded, making satellite impractical. Over the air TV is very limited. AT&T phone service in the area is ok, but the data signal is weak. Electric is metered even for short stays. Wi-fi is supplied by Tengo and billed separately. We did not use it due to price and poor reviews of service. The price is based on the weekly rate plus electric.

This is an older park popular with seasonals and families. Dirt and grass sites are level, but very close together with no privacy. Mature trees provide shade, but hamper satellite and (no cable or over the air TV). Wi-Fi was free, but frequently very slow. AT&T phone in the area is through a partner company and does not provide a data signal. The park was full, but quiet, especially for the holiday week. The rate is weekly for 50 amp service (extra fees apply for AC or heaters).

rating [ 7/10 ]
There was some trepidation approaching this park but the faded sign near the marina sends you down the proper road, there is plenty of clearance under the unmarked overpass and you don’t need to travel to the end of the ‘no-outlet’ road. The park is quiet, has good utilities, lots of cable channels and strong WiFi. Roads are gravel; sites are easy to maneuver, consist of level grass and gravel and have some shade. Restrooms are worn but large, well-lit and clean. AT&T phone in the area is through a partner company and does not provide a data signal.
06/2013
rating [ 7/10 ]
The friendly staff works hard to maintain a neat, clean campground. The grounds consist of gravel roads and pads with mature trees and some open grassy areas. There is a lot of shade, but over the air TV signal provides multiple channels to compensate for the lack of satellite reception. AT&T phone and data signals are okay. Utilities were good except during a period of storm damage. Wi-Fi was slow or absent much of the time. There are many seasonal campers taking advantage of the family atmosphere. The on-line reservation resulted in much higher charges than listed on the website.
06/2013
rating [ 9/10 ]
The entire park appears very new, neat and clean. It is easy to get to and thoughtfully designed with level gravel pads (mostly pull-throughs) separated by generous grassy areas and good gravel roads. Trees throughout the park are too small to provide shade. Basic utilities were reliable, the Wi-Fi speed was good, but had frequent short interruptions. Bathrooms and laundry were very clean. Attractive design elements and a lot of activities (frisbee golf, fishing, playground, mini-golf) would make this a great park for family reunions or small rallies. We would be happy to stay here again. The price reflects the Good Sam discount.

rating [ 6/10 ]
This park is occupied mostly by long term workers staying in the area. Interior roads are very poor and the bathrooms are terrible. Most sites are pull-through with concrete pads. Utilities, including WiFi are very good. The park is surrounded by pastures and is quiet except for the sound of sheep. Amenities include a club house, laundry, fishing pond and very limited playground equipment. Not a vacation destination but we would stay here again for a base in the area.
05/2013
rating [ 6/10 ]
This park provides a convenient overnight stop with reliable utilities, generous cable hook-up and good WiFi. Sites are fairly close together without privacy and the adjacent highway means a lot of road noise. We would stay here again if passing through the area.

The rangers and volunteers provide friendly service to go with the quiet natural setting. The pull-through sites are narrow, curved pads, parallel to the paved road. Towering trees provide plenty of shade and block satellite reception. AT&T phone reception was good, data signal was poor. The full hook-up utilities were good. A daily entrance fee or state park pass is required in addition to the camping fee. We would stay here again.

rating [ 9/10 ]
This lovely park is well landscaped and well maintained with good concrete interior roads, concrete pads and clean attractive facilities. Basic utilities were good; Wi-Fi was extremely erratic. The AT&T phone signal in the area was good but the data signal was poor. The park was quiet, both residents and staff were friendly. The rate is weekly. We would stay here again.
03/2013
rating [ 7/10 ]
The extensive fire damage at the park detracts from the scenery but not the RV facilities. Interior roads and sites are paved. Sites follow the contour of the land and some are far from level. AT&T phone and data service worked well in the area. Some shade is available, which may interfere with satellite signal, but over the air TV is available. The price is for full hookups. An additional daily access fee of $4/person is charged unless you have a Texas State Park Pass.

The location on the Rio Grande River is attractive and provides recreation (boat ramp and a covered fishing area with picnic tables). It also provides nearly constant presence of border patrol agents with boats, ATVs, SUVs and helicopters. It feels very safe but is sometimes noisy. The park is friendly and active with many social events, nice pool, library, and pool tables. AT&T phone service is good in most of the park but registers as out of the country near the river; data signal is weak. The utilities were mostly okay but unannounced water outages occurred twice during the month and the WiFi signal was weak and frequently absent. Interior roads are paved; sites vary from dirt to new and very narrow concrete pads. The office closes completely on weekends so check in and out can be a problem. The rate is monthly and does not include electric.

rating [ 9/10 ]
This very attractive park is reached after a brief stretch of badly potholed road. Interior roads and sites are concrete and easy to navigate. Facilities are well maintained and clean except for poorly policed dog waste. The pool, marine basin, and fishing pier are nice features. It was very quiet during our stay. AT&T phone and data signals are strong in the area. Utilities and park Wi-Fi are very good. There are many long-term residents and workers but most were newer units and tidy. The rate is monthly without the electricity charge. We would be very happy to stay here again.

Bay RV Park provides good utilities and clean facilities with friendly personnel in a quiet area. Park Wi-Fi mostly works well. AT&T phone service in the area is good but the data signal is very weak. Most interior roads and sites are concrete but space is not generous; turns are tight and units are closely spaced. There is very little shade so satellite works well. Over the air TV stations are also available. The many long-term residents do not detract from the neat and orderly nature of the park. The rate reflects a weekly discount. We would stay here again.

rating [ 10/10 ]
This attractive park is nicely laid out and well maintained with lawns, trees, shrubs, and flowers throughout. Utilities are reliable with cable TV, and very good Wi-Fi. AT&T phone and data service worked well in the area. There is some city traffic noise and train whistles but not disturbingly obtrusive. Personnel at the front desk are very helpful with suggestions for navigating the city and accessing San Antonio’s tourism opportunities. The rate reflects coupon savings from Carefree Resorts. We would stay here again.

rating [ 6/10 ]
This basic, older park is surprisingly quiet and offers a convenient place to stay on the edge of Fredericksburg. Utilities were good; wi-fi was slow and suffered frequent outages; cable TV was very good; AT&T phone/data was functional but weak. Sites were closely spaced gravel/dirt pads separated by small grass strips; many were occupied by old permanent units. Laundry and restrooms were old and far from pristine.

rating [ 9/10 ]
This is a very well-groomed and attractive park with level gravel pads and gravel interior roads. Each site has a small concrete patio and picnic table. Attractive landscaping and lawns surround the sites though most lack shade trees. The reasonably priced laundry is very clean. Utilities are good; wi-fi worked well; no cable or over-the-air TV; AT&T phone/data signal was available in the area though rather weak. Road noise was present most of the time. We would be happy to stay here again.

This park in Wichita Falls offers good utilities including free Wi-Fi and cable television. Interior roads are paved, but with potholes; gravel pads are accompanied by concrete patios. Pull-throughs are reached by driving across grass, but the ground was sufficiently firm not to present any problem. Mature trees provide a lot of shade around most sites. Restrooms, laundry and clubhouse were clean and attractive. A busy terminal for ambulances appears to be nearby so sirens are very, very frequent. The cost is based on the weekly rate.

The Sagebrush campground within Palo Duro State Park provides a convenient location for enjoying the park. Water and electric hook-ups are available; satellite reception worked well; AT&T phone/data service was very weak, sometimes out of network and frequently absent altogether. Restroom and shower facilities were adequately clean with plentiful hot water. The road into the park is steep with some tight turns, but navigable even by big rigs. Additional fees apply without a Texas State Park pass. We would stay here again.

Not a vacation destination, but friendly and functional. The large concrete pad pull-through site was easily accessed by gravel interior road. Utilities, including Wi-Fi, were good. Satellite TV reception was easy; AT&T phone and data service were available in the area. The laundry area was clean enough to use, but not pristine. Train and traffic noise was present, but not obtrusive. The rate reflects a Passport America discount. We would stay here again.

This public park is nicely maintained and thoughtfully laid out with many trees and with nice spacing between sites. Concrete pads are angled off of paved interior roads. Electric is the only utility offered though potable water and a dump station are available in the park. Some sites are satellite friendly. Wi-Fi is not available; phone and broadband are available but out-of-network for AT&T users. The adjacent train tracks appear little used and the only noise was distant whistles. We would stay here again.

The park is easy to access and maneuver within; interior roads are paved and the level sites are paved. Utilities are good but there is no wi-fi service in the park. AT&T phone and data service were good in the area. Laundry, shower and restroom facilities are clean and well kept. Satellite reception is good as there are few interior trees. Some traffic and train noise is present. RV guests have access to the hotel’s large pool area. We would stay here again.

The well-kept and family friendly park offers level grass sites that are easy to navigate in spite of being very close together. Utilities were good, the park’s Wi-Fi and cable TV were reliable and AT&T phone/data signals were strong. The park has a lot of seasonal and permanent residents. There is a nice playground and beach; a canoe, kayak and paddle boat are available free to guests. The rate reflects a Passport America discount.

This is an older resort that has designated three places that RVs can be parked. Interior roads are narrow with tight turns and overhanging branches making navigation difficult. Sites are uneven grass areas with electric hook-ups. Water was available at our site but the staff was uncertain if it was potable or if we could hook-up to it. A fee based dump station is available in Ely, but not at the park. AT&T phone and data signals were good in the area but TV was unavailable via cable, satellite or over the air. The grounds are very neatly maintained with a pool, lakefront, playground, sauna and tennis courts. It was a quiet base from which to explore Ely.

This is a beautiful park with exceptionally well-designed sites that take advantage of its location on Portage Lake. Each level concrete site has a covered deck area, picnic table, bench, fire ring and grill. All sites appear to have great views of the lake and many have landscaping that adds privacy between sites. The utilities were good though the park’s Wi-Fi was occasionally too weak to use. There are no laundry, restroom or shower facilities. We would be happy for an opportunity to stay here again.

rating [ 8/10 ]
The park is well designed with easy access to the level gravel sites separated by generous grassy areas. Trees are mostly young so they offer little shade but do not block satellite reception. Utilities were reliable, AT&T phone/data service were good in the area and the park’s Wi-Fi was good. Pool and play areas were nicely kept. Restrooms, showers and laundry were clean. The price is based on the Passport America discount. We would stay here again.

A steep, narrow entry road affords access to this quiet, well-groomed and scenic public park. Sites are grass and many are on a slope. There is no water or sewer hookup, the reliable electric is a long stretch at many sites and the park’s Wi-Fi was good most of the time. AT&T phone and data signals were good. In addition to pit toilets there is a shower house with flush toilets. The one shower stall per gender is kept locked with keys issued to campers but not the general public; all facilities were clean. We would be happy to stay here again.

Northland RV Park is easy to access and maneuver within; the level gravel sites are mostly pull-throughs. Basic utilities were reliable though Wi-Fi was sometimes too weak to function and some sewer hookups are very high out of the ground. AT&T phone and data signals are very good in the area. Facilities show a lot of age but are adequately clean. Road noise is very apparent.

This scenic little park on the Yellow River has good utilities, though the Wi-Fi is very weak. Sites are fairly level dirt/gravel and many are rather short. AT&T phone and data signals are functional in the area. There is a lot of shade but some sites are satellite TV friendly. We would stay here again.

This public park offers spacious level gravel sites with lots of shade available. Utilities were reliable, AT&T phone/data service was good and over-the-air television signals were available. The park was well occupied during our stay, but still quiet. Shower and bathroom facilities were basic but clean. A wide variety of outdoor sports activities were available within the park. We would be happy to return.

A friendly, quiet park well off the highway with good utilities, great Wi-Fi and very good AT&T phone and data signals. Most sites are pull-throughs with nice concrete pads and patios, but interior roads are terrible with lumpy masses of pavement. Bathroom and shower facilities are very bad. A few sites are shaded and there is a small fishing pond on site. The price is based on the monthly rate. We would stay here again due to need to be in the area.

This urban park has easily accessed level gravel sites with concrete patios. Utilities, including Wi-Fi, are good; AT&T phone and data service is good in the area; local TV is available by antenna. There is a lot of traffic on the road bordering the park so noise is constant. Many, many non-campers frequent the facility for fishing and add to the congestion and lack of privacy.

This is a large facility in a quiet rural area that is showing its age. Paved roads and pads are narrow and worn; restrooms are old but adequately clean. Mature trees throughout the park offer a lot of shade. Utilities are good; AT&T phone and date service is very weak in the area. The park is very family friend with many recreational activities. The rate shown includes a Passport America discount.

The park offers concrete interior roads and level concrete pads that are mostly pull throughs. Grounds are neatly groomed; shower and laundry facilities are newly restored and very clean. The area is quiet and has good security. Utilities are good; there is no Wi-Fi but AT&T phone and data service is strong in the area. We would stay here again.

rating [ 5/10 ]
Very narrow paved roads lead to very narrow paved sites that are seriously off-level. Narrow grassy areas between sites provide no privacy. Some electric hook-ups were inadequate but sites are close enough together that hooking to the neighboring electric may be possible though inappropriate (a neighbor was using ours when we arrived). AT&T phone and data service were weak but serviceable in the area.

This quiet park offers easily accessed pull-through level gravel sites. Utilities, including Wi-Fi, are very good. AT&T phone and data service are weak but functional in the area. A rails-to-trails walking and bike path runs along the park and provides a great recreational opportunity. Laundry facilities are minimal. The rate shown is with the Passport America discount. We would stay here again.

Narrow paved roads, tight turns and steep grades can make maneuvering tricky for large rigs but the reward is a wooded natural site with some privacy. The paved pad was very narrow but the gravel patio area was very generous with a fire ring, grill, table and lantern pole. Restrooms and showers were very clean. Water and electric utilities were good, AT&T phone and data signals were good. Boat and train noise intruded occasionally.
03/2012
rating [ 9/10 ]
This park offers generously sized, well designed sites that maximize the natural setting and privacy. The level paved pad was complemented by a large gravel patio area complete with fire pit, picnic table, fish cleaning bench and lantern pole. Shower and restroom facilities were worn but clean. Some train and motorboat noise could be heard. Water and electric were good but other modern amenities were absent (no sewer hook-up, Wi-Fi, TV signal, AT&T phone or data service). We would stay here again, but briefly.

rating [ 7/10 ]
The park is easy to access and to maneuver in with level grass/dirt sites and gravel interior roads. Utilities are reliable, AT&T phone and data service are available in the area, laundry and restrooms are clean and the park sits on a nice small lake. Noise from the small highway that borders the park and from military aircraft is significant. Tree stumps and old warped wooden picnic tables detract from the appearance of the park. The no-see-ums were very bad during our stay but the season for them is said to be fairly short.

Visit the park website for directions as one of the possible routes in has an extremely bad stretch of road. The park offers level grass sites, quiet, good utilities including cable, and very nice restrooms. AT&T phone and data service is very weak. Wi-Fi isn’t offered but an outdoor DSL cable is available at a shaded picnic table.

This park has level grass sites on rough winding gravel interior roads and the ambiance of an old campground. Restrooms are very old and worn but clean. Basic utilities are good, Wi-Fi is available but erratic, limited cable channels are available. AT&T phone and data service are available in the area but weak. The office staff was friendly and helpful; the location is good for visiting historic St. Augustine with shuttle service available to the downtown area with purchase of a trolley ticket. The website provides very little information on rates or anything else; the amount shown is based on the weekly rate.

Staff and residents offered a friendly welcome to this isolated country setting. Only minor traffic sounds and the lowing of cattle disturbed the quiet. Utilities were reliable except for occasional brief outages of the park’s Wi-Fi. A problem with the electric meter reading was amicably resolved; the rate shown is based on a month’s stay plus the electric charge. AT&T voice and data service was weak but functional in the area. Interior roads were gravel and uneven but grass sites were level and many had concrete patios. Neither groceries nor restaurants are convenient to the park so it is best to stock up before arriving.

This lovely county park has easily accessed, gravel, level sites separated by grass and/or shrubbery. Utilities were good. Park Wi-Fi was weak and intermittent but AT&T phone and data service were good in the area. The area was very quiet except for lively bird calls and distant train noises. Restrooms, showers and laundry facilities were clean and functional but not attractive. A nice playground, canoe rentals and a ban on alcohol consumption promote a family friendly atmosphere. We would be happy to stay here again.

Narrow streets with right angles into sites made maneuvering difficult; this may not be a problem for most residents since most are permanent or seasonal. Staff and residents were friendly; French was encountered as often as English. The pool area was very nice; a weight room, laundries, mail room and clubhouse were also available. Basic utilities were good; Wi-Fi was by purchase through Tengo and not used; AT&T phone and data service were weak but functional for several hours per day. Some traffic noise associated with large trucks at the nearby concrete plant occurred during the workday. The price is based on a weekly, internet, off-season special.

Sandy Oaks is a friendly, welcoming community offering many generously sized sites with a lot of landscaping for shade and privacy. Basic utilities are very good; Wi-Fi is fairly good; AT&T phone and data service are good. The park offers a quiet setting near the Withlacoochee Bike Trail plus has a nice pool, clubhouse and library on site. The price is based on the weekly rate. We would be happy to stay here again.

rating [ 7/10 ]
The park was nearly empty during our stay so it was peaceful and isolated. Many sites were occupied by permanent or seasonal units but the transient sites backed up to the gulf and had fantastic views. Basic utilities were good; Wi-Fi was weak and erratic; there was no AT&T service in the area. Except for a small, gas-station quick shop the nearest stores were twenty miles away. The rate reflects a Passport America discount. We would stay here again.
11/2011
rating [ 7/10 ]
Sites were generously sized and level but the entire park is set in a pine forest so maneuvering into place could be an issue. An occasional military jet from the nearby air base contrasted with the general quiet of the park. Basic utilities were good; Wi-Fi was weak and erratic; AT&T phone and data service were good. Facilities were old and worn but clean. The rate is based on the Passport America discount.

This is a tiny, friendly park offering level, unshaded, grass sites and good utilities (including cable and great Wi-Fi). The area has AT&T phone and data service. Sites are very close together but several are pull throughs with access from the street behind the park. A bike path that runs the length of Dauphin Island is located across the street, as is public beach access. There is some minor traffic noise even in the off-season. The price is based on the weekly rate. We would stay here again.

The Silver Slipper Casino operates a neatly kept small park with all level, concrete sites located across the street from public beach and the Gulf of Mexico. The casino is within walking distance but also offers shuttle service on request; promotional offers from the casino include one free night for new members. Utilities were good but did not include Wi-Fi. AT&T phone and data signals were good. A lack of shade, some traffic noise and no-see-ums are negative factors. We would stay here again.
11/2011
rating [ 8/10 ]
A pleasant quiet location during the off-season. The easily accessed, level sites are mostly without shade and back onto a fish ponds. No license is required for fishing on site; a small playground is available and a swimming pool is open in season. Wi-Fi is only available by the office but AT&T phone and data is available in the area. The rate reflects a Passport America discount.

This is a lovely park on Lake Sabine, totally divorced from the refining and heavy industry you pass through to access it. Faint train whistles can be heard at times but the many bird sounds are more prevalent. The park is very well kept with spotlessly clean restrooms/laundry, concrete pads and groomed landscaping. Wi-Fi is not available but other utilities are very good. AT&T phone and data service is available in the area. The price listed is based on the weekly rate. We would be very happy to stay here again.

Generously sized, level gravel sites are easy to access. Facilities are clean but not fancy. AT&T phone and data service were available in the area. Staff and fellow RV'ers were very friendly. The price is based on the weekly rate for an Escapees member. We would be happy to stay here again.

This large park has a wide variety of sites spread over multiple areas but limited information to help the visitor choose among them. Reservations are accepted for some sites, but the park office and the internet disagree regarding the season for this. Interior roads are in poor shape and narrow. Water and 30 amp electric were available at the site we ended up in. AT&T phone reception was poor, data service was not available. Restrooms/showers were old but reasonably clean given the very large concentration of campers they served.
10/2011
rating [ 8/10 ]
This very attractive park offers generous sites in a heavily wooded setting. Level concrete pads with water and electric service are easily accessed by paved road. Some sites are pull-through and some sites have sewer hook-ups. AT&T phone and data signals were strong and reliable in the area. Background traffic noises were surprisingly evident even at the rear of the campground. We would be happy to stay here again.
10/2011

Sites at this friendly park are gravel, not level and crowded. The restrooms were worn but very clean. The laundry facility was large, very clean and very reasonably priced. The Wi-fi was fast and reliable; AT&T phone and data reception were adequate. The park is in a dry county and alcohol is unwelcome on the premises. The price reflects a Good Sam discount.

Lady Luck Casino provides easily accessed, level, concrete pull-through sites with full hook-ups. The area is secure and neatly groomed except for some minor trash escaped from bags set out for on-site pickup. Free Wi-Fi is available in the casino lobby and restaurant. AT&T phone and data reception were both good in this area. More than twenty TV channels were available via antenna; satellite reception was also good. Some background noise from traffic and nearby industry was present but not obtrusive. The price reflects the Good Sam and Players discounts. We would stay here again.

The tree shaded sites at this park are a welcome respite from the fields and prairie of eastern South Dakota. Level gravel sites for RVs, grassy sites for tent and very clean facilities show the care that the owners put into this operation. A swimming pool, putt-putt golf and playground provide diversions. Utilities are reliable though the Wi-Fi connection is slow at times. AT&T phone service in the area is weak. Flies were a nuisance at the time of our visit. The rate reflects weekly and cash discounts. We would happily stay here again.

This park is a little bit removed from the highway but easily reached by passing through the small town of Summit. Sites are level gravel; utilities are good; restroom and laundry facilities were new and adequately clean but limited in number. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The rate reflects an Escapees discount. We would stay here again.

This park offers good utilities; Wi-Fi is excellent. AT&T phone and data service is also good. Level concrete pads include generous patio extensions with picnic tables. The park is set in quiet pastureland populated by cows and sheep. The laundry facilities are good but the restrooms are foul. Interior roads are extremely uneven with rough gravel and multiple independent lumps of asphalt. Residents are mostly long term workers staying in the area. The price reflects the monthly rate with moderate electric usage.

rating [ 5/10 ]
This crowded park includes everyone from permanent residents to over nighter and day use visitors; many, many day use visitors. Narrow roads, tightly spaced sites and a lot of trees require careful navigation but can accommodate big rigs. Utilities are adequate with low water pressure. Wi-Fi is available in the area but requires contracting with a source outside of the park. AT&T phone and data service are good. The price is based on a week’s stay.

rating [ 7/10 ]
Interior roads and gravel sites are very narrow but easily navigable by big rigs. Sites are level and well shaded by tall tree cover. Excellent Wi-Fi is available but cost extra if used for more than one week. Pool, restrooms, laundry and clubhouse were clean and inviting. The grounds include a pond and nature trails. AT&T phone and data service were very good. The cost is based on the monthly rate.

The park uses a self-serve approach to check-in which can lead to confusion and a few very rough stretches of interior roads. Some of the gravel sites offer shade; many appear to offer challenges leveling. Water pressure was very low but electric was reliable and Wi-Fi was very good. AT&T phone service was poor in this area and data service was non-existent. We would stay here again. The rate reflects the Passport America discount.

rating [ 6/10 ]
This city park offers good utilities, easily accessed level gravel sites and a new clean building housing laundry and restroom facilities. A grocery store is located across the street. The camp host was welcoming and able to provide local information. RV washing was allowed on site. The rate is averaged for two nights and includes the Passport America discount. We would stay here again.
08/2011
rating [ 4/10 ]
Utilities, including Wi-Fi, were very good. Sites were gravel, easy to access, level and generously spaced with wide grassy areas but few trees to provide screening. The park is situated next to a very busy highway so noise is constant and entry/exit is directly into heavy traffic. It seemed as though the office staff (owners?) were very unhappy to be there themselves and to see business coming in.
08/2011
rating [ 5/10 ]
The park provides adequate utilities including good Wi-Fi. Sites are level grass with many mature trees and appear to be scattered about the front yard of an old farmhouse. The short gravel road into the park is rough and potholed. Restrooms and pay showers are worn but adequately clean. The dump station is very awkwardly located. AT&T phone and data service worked. The rate reflects a Good Sam discount.

rating [ 9/10 ]
The owners and staff at this park have created a lovely, inviting environment. The property is heavily treed so most sites have shade but the grounds are still open and airy enough to support lawns and many charming flowerbeds with statuettes. The restrooms and showers are spacious, very clean and attractive. Sites are level and easy to access with generous buffer zones in between. Basic utilities were good, Wi-Fi was very good and cable TV was ok. There is some noise from traffic and occasionally from the very close rail line. The price reflects the Good Sam rate. We look forward to an opportunity to stay here again.

This nicely maintained property provides generous gravel sites separated by well-groomed lawns and plantings. The staff and most of the long-term residents are friendly and welcoming. Reliable utilities include good Wi-Fi but no cable TV. The water pressure is rather low but okay. Road noise is consistent and intrusive. The infrastructure is attractive and clean with a very nice clubhouse area with full kitchen. The price reflects the Good Sam weekly rate.
07/2011
rating [ 8/10 ]
This nicely designed park is meticulously maintained and provides quiet beauty and peacefulness. Utilities were good though the W-Fi was rather slow. Slow Wi-Fi and lack of TV would be petty quibbles considering the remoteness of the park. Shower/restroom facilities were clean, but limited to one per gender. The access road to the park and to the pull-through sites is fairly steep, but the sites themselves are level gravel. The price reflects a discount for cash. We would be happy to stay here again.

Attractive RV sites are tucked away behind a small motel framed by forested hills and valleys. The friendly owners keep the property well groomed. Level gravel pads are separated by grassy areas and mature trees abound. Utilities were reliable and include both Wi-Fi and cable TV. We would be very happy to return to this park. The rate reflects a Good Sam discount.

RV sites, both pull-through and back-in, are available in this trailer park. The utilities were very good with very fast Wi-Fi and many clear cable TV channels. Grass sites with mature trees were fairly level. Road noise was consistently present. The owner was pleasant and helpful.

This nicely groomed public park is in a quiet location on the edge of town directly on the Bulkley River. It provides good utilities, free firewood and generously sized level grass sites. The Wi-Fi was fast and good while present but vanished completely at times. A few TV channels were available via antenna. No public showers were available due to construction. A central structure with picnic tables, wood stoves and sinks was clean and inviting. We would be happy to stay here again.
07/2011
rating [ 7/10 ]
Shaded, grassy sites easily accessed from the highway into town are accompanied by good basic utilities. The Wi-Fi was adequate, the cable TV was marginal. There was some road noise, but it was most apparent during the day. The infrastructure (restrooms, laundry) was serviceable, but not attractive. The price reflects a Good Sam discount.

This park is conveniently located for a stopover in Watson Lake. The large open gravel area has pull-through sites down the middle and back-in sites on both sides with sufficient room to maneuver. Utilities, including Wi-Fi and cable TV, were okay. It is within easy walking distance to major tourist attractions in town.
07/2011
rating [ 5/10 ]
This park provides good, basic utilities but the amenities of cable TV and Wi-Fi are in some nebulous future. The park is easy to navigate to and into; closely spaced sites are adequate for slides and nearly level with small strips of grass between. AT&T phone and data reception were both very good. The park is in a quiet residential area a pleasant walk removed from the shopping district. The rate reflects the Good Sam discount. We would overnight here again if we had to be in Skagway.
07/2011
rating [ 7/10 ]
This park has physical limitations with very narrow sites that back up onto a fairly busy and dusty road. In compensation the business district and boat harbor are only a short walk away and Chilkoot Inlet lies directly in front of the park. Utilities, including cable television, worked well; AT&T phone service was good but data service was slow. The owner was friendly, helpful and promoted a welcoming sociable atmosphere. The rate reflects the Good Sam discount. We would stay here again.

The beautiful natural setting of this park is enhanced by the care the owners have put into it. Gravel sites are separated from one another by flowers, trees and neatly shaped shrubs. Restrooms and showers were very clean. The attitude was warm, welcoming and concerned that your stay be enjoyable. The electric hookups were only 15 amp, Wi-Fi was fairly slow, potable water was available near the office and a sanitary dump facility was on site. Oddly, no trash pickup is provided so you must take it with you when you leave. The limited services are understandable given the location of the park and we would eagerly stay here again.

Bayside RV Park is conveniently located close to the small boat harbor and business district of Valdez. Basic utilities were good but cable and Wi-Fi were only OK. AT&T phone and data signals were strong. Sites are level, gravel, closely spaced and without privacy. Restrooms and showers were very clean and nicely designed. The price reflects the weekly rate.

This park was an excellent value and quite attractive. The grounds were very well maintained with flower beds and neatly mowed lawns. The gently sloping sites were grass and generously spaced. The only hook-up was 30 amp electric but potable water and a sanitary dump station were available. The shower and restrooms were worn and just OK but clean enough to use. Good signals were available for AT&T phone and data service; several television stations were available via antenna. We would happily stay here again.
06/2011
rating [ 7/10 ]
This park has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Most sites back up to generous tree cover but a few overlook a long stretch of muskeg followed by Cook Inlet and distant mountains. Parking may require backing past multiple sites as there is only one entrance into the park; boats, tow vehicles and toads share the limited central driveway. This is probably why units over forty feet must pay extra. Utilities worked well, Wi-Fi was slow at times but steady; AT&T phone and data service were weak but present. Free firewood was available. The very clean restrooms cost $2 for eight minutes. We would stay here again.

This park is set in a quiet and scenic area north of Seward. It provides good utilities including WI-FI and about a dozen cable TV channels. Limited grassy areas are somewhat scruffy but provide a visual break from the well-graveled sites and interior roads. Most sites have picnic tables or stone fire rings. Facilities are neat and clean. The directions/map available on the website was very helpful since the park is several turns off the highway. Roads to and within the park were easy to maneuver. The price reflects the weekly rate for full hookups. We would be happy to stay here again.

The park is in a beautiful setting with easy access to the Trail of Blue Ice for bicycling and hiking. A large pavilion with gas grills and nightly bonfire are a nice touch. The park itself is a large gravel area with generously spaced sites; both pull-through and back-in. Only electric is available to the sites but potable water is available next to the office and there is a sewage pump-out station. Port-a-potties provide restroom facilities. The two, clean, free showers are in a building and have space heaters for added comfort. There is no Wi-Fi or television. AT&T phone and data service were weak but functional. No discounts are available.
06/2011
rating [ 6/10 ]
The park consists mostly of very narrow sites in a large gravel area unbroken by trees or grass. The road in was potholed and the sites were not well leveled but there was plenty of room to maneuver with many empty sites. Utilities were good but Wi-Fi was too weak to connect to even though we were specifically placed in a site that had a good chance of access. AT&T voice and data service worked well. There was no road noise and train noise was minimal with soft horn once or twice per day. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rate included a Good Sam Discount.
06/2011
rating [ 2/10 ]
The park has rough interior roads with tight turns. If full, many sites could not be reached by big rigs. Electric was good, Wi-Fi was sporadic, water pressure was low and many sewer hookups were nonfunctional with liquid levels to the top of the pipes or leakage out onto the ground. Restrooms and showers were fifty or more stairs above campground level; nearby showers were all out of order. AT&T phone and data service were good. There was confusion regarding the Good Sam discount as the staff only wanted to apply it to the first night of our stay. We would not stay here again.
06/2011
rating [ 7/10 ]
Level gravel sites separated by swatches of grass provided easy access but not privacy. Utilities were good though the Wi-Fi was slow at times. AT&T phone and data reception were good; the latter provided faster internet service than the park’s Wi-Fi. Laundry and showers were clean. The price is based on the weekly rate. We would stay here again.

This park offers heavily treed, pull-through sites that appear quite narrow, especially once filled by large units with slides extended on both sides. Wi-Fi was only available in the office area but AT&T phone and data services were good. Picnic tables and fire rings were provided. Showers were clean but older and full of mosquito's. The price shown was for 50 amps and water with no discount. We would stay here again.

Bonanza Gold provides full hookups, including Wi-Fi. Site size and maneuverability were very adequate. Wi-Fi disappeared repeatedly and access codes changed at least daily with no warning. The open gravel layout amplified the background noise from the road and near constant activity within the park. The rate was for 30 amps, full hookups and includes a Good Sam discount.

rating [ 7/10 ]
The lower section of this park is very utilitarian with easy access to level gravel sites, good utilities and reliable internet. The side by side hookups in this lower section are very near the highway so there was some road noise. Wi-Fi was sometimes slow but consistently available. The upper section of the park is much more attractive with generous sites well screened by trees but without full hookups. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rate was for 30 amps, full hookups and includes a Good Sam discount. We would stay here again.

This is an old park with barely adequate facilities. Grass sites are fairly level but mostly small and crowded. Electric was only 15 amp, water was not available at many sites (though recently turned on for the season) and hot water was not available in all shower stalls (no flow from hot faucet). Use of the dump station required an extra fee. Restrooms/showers were very worn and not clean. Wi-Fi connections were difficult to establish but surprisingly fast and reliable if possible to achieve. The Passport America discount brings cost down to almost match value. New ownership seems to have muddled the care put into the operation. We would not stay here again.

This park provides reliable utilities, level gravel sites with picnic tables, grills, free firewood and a beautiful natural setting. Many sites back up onto a small lake or beaver pond. The tent section includes an open-air, roofed sink and counter area. The facilities are scruffy, old but functional; laundry is $5 per load to wash and dry. Perimeter sites were quiet and had wildlife and bird-watching opportunities. Pull-through sites nearer the highway probably lack this advantage. The price reflects the Good Sam discount. We would be happy to stay here again.

rating [ 5/10 ]
The host was friendly and the utilities were good, so the park functions well enough as an overnight stop. Roads within the park are in very bad shape, uneven and potholed. Sites are not level. Both laundry and restrooms were old and unclean. The price reflects the Good Sam discount.

rating [ 9/10 ]
This is a gem of a campground; clean, friendly and efficient. Utilities, including Wi-Fi, worked reliably. Maneuvering into the park and into the level, gravel sites was easy. The showers are clean and well-maintained. Both the playground and pet areas looked good, though we did not have occasion to make use of either. Grassy areas with picnic tables provide a cushion between sites but no privacy. We would stay here again.

Friendly and conscientious owners have made this a well-groomed and welcoming park. Gravel sites are level, mostly pull-through and separated by small grassy areas with picnic tables. Utilities, including cable TV and Wi-Fi, are steady and reliable. AT&T phone service was marginal. Laundry and restrooms are very clean. The rate reflects a Passport America discount. We would be happy to stay here again.

rating [ 7/10 ]
The friendly staff and good utilities are assets at this park. Wi-Fi was free, fast and reliable. Cable was very good but cost $3/day. AT&T phone reception in the area was good. The park is located near the interstate and a truck stop so engine noises are frequent. Paved or graveled sites are level with generous grassy areas between. Access to and within the park is easy. The rate reflects an Escapees discount for 30amp service and the charge for cable. We would stay here again.

rating [ 6/10 ]
Cordial staff, new infrastructure and great rate vs. side by side hookups, pay showers, uphill sewer connections and water faucets low enough to interfere with hose connection. The utilities, including Wi-Fi, were reliable. Satellite reception and AT&T phone service were good. The park’s grounds, restrooms, and laundry facilities were neat and clean. The rate reflects the Passport America discount. We would stay here again.

rating [ 7/10 ]
The park was surprisingly quiet in spite of being on the highway right in town. Level, gravel pull-through sites were easy to access. There are trees and grass at each site but no tables. Utilities, including Wi-Fi were reliable. We spoke to the host before arrival and were advised to choose a site and set up; that he would find us later in the day for paperwork. This worked smoothly and cordially. The rate reflects a Good Sam discount and an extra charge for cable.

rating [ 6/10 ]
Most utilities at this park were good; Wi-Fi was fast when working but stopped frequently. AT&T phone and data service were strong and reliable. The gravel sites were easily navigable with care even though the park was very full of big rigs. Most sites had some grass and a picnic table. Shower and laundry facilities were clean. Maintenance was not meticulous but did not interfere with function.

rating [ 7/10 ]
This quiet park provides good utilities, level gravel pads and clean but worn shower facilities. Access is easy both into the park and into the pull-through sites. Trees between sites offer some shade but no privacy. The park’s Wi-Fi service was good; AT&T phone reception was good in this area. The price reflects the weekly discount. We would stay here again.

This campground provides spacious gravel sites with picnic tables and trees. The pool, hot tub, playground and game room provide in-park diversions. Restrooms and laundry were clean. Wi-fi was very good, cable was available but we didn’t try it, water pressure was good, electric was reliable but the sewer hookup was inconveniently distant at our site. AT&T data signal was present, but the park’s wi-fi was better. The entire campground is on a gentle slope which may make leveling a challenge at some sites. The rate reflects a Good Sam discount. We would be happy to stay here again.

This park provides a useful base for the southwest corner of Utah. The gravel sites are rather small, but most have concrete patio areas and shade trees. AT&T phone and data service were very good, park utilities were good except for the wi-fi which was spotty. Restrooms were clean; laundry and clubhouse were small but very nice. The price is based on the weekly rate. We would stay here again.

rating [ 9/10 ]
Friendly, clean and reliable services are provided at a very competitive rate. Cheerful personnel monitor access to the park, provide escort to sites and keep grounds and buildings in very good order. Interior roads are narrow but thoughtfully angled pull-through sites accommodate even very large units. Free wi-fi is available but is slow; we reverted to using our AT&T air card in frustration. Pool and lounge areas were clean and attractive. Restrooms were clean; the newest ones were especially nice being self-contained rooms with sink, toilet, bench, large shower stall, lots of hot water and attractive tile work. We would stay here again.

This quiet park is on the edge of the desert with a backdrop of mountains nearby. Hiking trails start from the back perimeter and stretch into nearby Tucson Mountain Park. The friendly owners organize a lot of social activities in the winter season. Sites are generously sized and partially screened by native/desert-friendly plants. AT&T phone and data service work well. Water pressure is a little low, electric is reliable and sewer connections are a long stretch at many sites. The price reflects the monthly rate. We look forward to returning to this park.

rating [ 7/10 ]
This friendly park has reliable utilities, roomy gravel sites, clean laundry/restrooms and a very nice clubhouse/library. Our stay was peaceful even though railroad tracks and a highway are nearby. AT&T phone and data service were weak but serviceable so we avoided the fee-based WiFi. The price reflects the Escapees rate. We would stay here again.

The Hitchin’ Post provides reliable utilities (though WiFi was very weak), a nice pool, laundry, very nice restrooms and security for your stay in Las Vegas. The park is removed from the strip so a drive is required for any tourist activities. Military aircraft from the nearby base can be very loud but the noise is generally brief. Some shade is provided by trees scattered throughout the park and break up the pervasive white gravel. Sites are closely spaced in rows but large rigs can be accommodated.

This is a very green park with lots of trees throughout. The sites are well laid out to take advantage of the landscaping and not feel crammed together. Adequately clean laundries and restrooms are scattered through the park. Recreational features include a casino, pool, beach, trail, playground and casino. The price reflects the Passport America rate. We would stay here again.

rating [ 7/10 ]
The ambience is desert and highway but the park is very clean, neat and well cared for. Utilities are reliable; even the Wi-Fi is mostly stable. The restrooms are exceptionally clean and stylish. The laundry and small library are useful features. The staff is friendly, sociable and helpful. The price reflects the weekly rate. We would stay here again.

The fairgrounds in Eureka offer a no-frills, economical place to park. They provide full hook-ups, good wifi and a convenient location. Sites are level, grass and easily accessed. AT&T phone and data service worked well. All units must be self contained so the old, uninviting restrooms probably get little use. It was surprisingly quiet and peaceful with a resident doe and fawns in the stable area. Occasional heavy trucks and horse trailers went through during the day or evening but the gate to the campground is locked at night and a guard was present during a public event to stop random traffic into the RV area. The price reflects a Good Sam discount. We would be happy to stay here again.

This is a pleasant, welcoming park offering good facilities and convenient access to Redwood National Park. The inland location gave us warm and sunny weather in contrast to the coast a few miles away. Utilities were mostly good; WiFi was slow and spotty at times, sewer hookups were inconveniently set at an angle. A lot of the park has an unusual configuration with sites arranged nose-to-tail but they seem to be long enough that it works for even large units to pull in and out of the rows. The laundry, restrooms, and club house areas were neat and clean. The price reflects Good Sam and cash discounts. We would stay here again.

The J Diamond provides shaded, full hookups in the heart of downtown. Walking to the town’s famous bakery, shops, restaurants and the city park is easy. Most of this older park is occupied by tired mobile homes or permanent residents’ RVs. Narrow sites are level dirt with some gravel and barely accommodate slideouts. AT&T phone and data service were available but weak. Utilities worked well. Laundry room and restrooms are clean; showers are free. We would not return.

This campground provides full hook-ups at a very reasonable rate (Passport America) in a shaded, quiet location. The western entrance to Yosemite National Park is a half hour drive so exploring the park can be done with long day trips. There is no Wi-Fi, cable or AT&T phone/data coverage. The campground is a challenge to maneuver through with very uneven, potholed dirt roads. Dirt sites are also potholed and unlevel with trees close enough to cause concern for slides. Rigs and vehicles nearly block the tightly curved roadways. Small units will fare better.

rating [ 7/10 ]
This nicely maintained park has shade trees and grass between each site, not enough to create privacy but enough to add some coolness and attract a symphony of birds. Sites are level gravel with hookups at the back. Utilities, including wi-fi, worked well. AT&T phone and data signals worked well. Bathrooms and laundry were clean and very nice; there is even a washer available exclusively for pet blankets. The price includes a Good Sam discount. We would stay here again especially if needing a convenient stop while traveling on I-5

The location defines this park; everything else is an afterthought. The park is separated from the Pacific Ocean only by a grassy path and sandy beach; a marvelous setting. Sites are paved and level, utilities are adequate, AT&T phone and data service work well. The laundry offered one functional dryer and one functional washer; the restrooms/showers were just okay. Check-in is about a block from the park after picking an available site (so don’t arrive late even with reservations); we never saw any staff in the park providing cleaning, security or maintenance. The picturesque lighthouse, utility boxes and laundry all look sad and neglected. We would return for the ocean access.

The friendly staff and peaceful river setting make this little park a gem. It will not appeal to everyone since it is a fish camp, off the coast and includes older mobile homes near the road. We were lucky enough to get a site near the river and office which optimized view, quiet and Wi-Fi reception. The owners and managers are dedicated to making your stay enjoyable. Laundry and restrooms are basic but clean. Utilities were good; our AT&T phones worked well, grass sites were firm and mostly level (though the river section is better suited to smaller units than to big rigs); a boat launch, dock and book exchange are available. We look forward to returning to this park.

Elk Meadows is very forested with generous space and natural growth between sites; it feels wild while offering modern infrastructure. Water and sewer hookups were good, electric was fairly good but went out briefly several times during our week stay and electronic communications were totally absent (no AT&T phone or data service, no Wi-Fi, no satellite TV reception at many sites due to tree coverage). Bathrooms and laundry rooms were clean and strongly sanitized.

This park boasts a great staff and a marvelous location for marine activities. The sites are set fairly close and many require parallel parking of tow or towed vehicle along interior roads. As a consequence access can be tricky. Utilities are good. We were in the older part of the park not far from the office and had reliable WiFi service unlike that experienced by an earlier reviewer. Laundry and restrooms were clean. The price reflects the weekly rate. We would stay here again.

This beautifully maintained park wraps you in the best aspects of suburban living. Pull-through concrete pads separated by manicured lawns; reliable utilities including WiFi and cable TV, AT&T phone and data service; clean and inviting public areas (pool, restrooms, shower, clubhouse, playground, sports area and landscaped gazebo with barbecue). They even have overstuffed leather chairs and a television in the laundry room! The rate includes a Good Sam discount. We would be happy to stay here again.

This family-friendly park includes recreational activities for children and adults. It has an attractive pool, small clubhouse with TV, and a smattering of playground/sports equipment. There is direct access to a lake whose waters and mud are said to be healing; a good thing since access will include a slog through the mud. Mature trees provide welcoming shade. Sites, many pull-through, are easy to access but fairly close together with limited privacy. Basic utilities are good, Wi-Fi is mostly good, AT&T phone service is poor and spotty, AT&T data service is absent. The rate is based on weekly and Passport America discounts.

rating [ 6/10 ]
This clean, neat little park offers grassy sites, the shade of mature trees and good utilities. The owners live on site and have created a welcoming, homey atmosphere. Access and setup are easy with level pull-through sites. There is no AT&T phone or data service, no Wi-Fi, but TV reception was possible. At thirty miles north of Bonners Ferry the location is very near an entry port for Canada which makes it a very convenient stopping point but adds more traffic noise than would otherwise be expected.

The layout of this park makes marvelous use of its wooded hillsides to offer mostly pull-through sites. Interior access roads and leveling could be more of a challenge here than at some parks but the efficient owner seems well aware of what will fit. The grounds and facilities are very well kept; the clean bathrooms are decorative, laundry is small but tidy and the store and office are attractive. The utilities, including Wi-Fi, work very well. AT&T phone signal is good. Some traffic noise can be heard. The rate includes a Good Sam discount. We would stay here again.

This tidy little park provides wide, level grassy sites and a nice view over a valley. Unfortunately, busy train tracks on the opposite hillside add a lot of rumbling noise day and night. AT&T phone service is good but data service is poor. Restrooms are adequate. The laundry serves the community as well as the campground but sits on the street edge so does not increase traffic into the park. We would stay here again.

The friendly staff keeps the grounds well groomed and the facilities (restrooms, showers and laundry) very clean. It is a quiet and peaceful place on the edge of a small town surrounded by ranchland with mountains in the distance. The utilities, including WiFi, were good. AT&T phone service was good but there was no AT&T data service. The rate reflects a Passport America discount for a site with water and 30 amp electric. We would stay here again.

Location is the main attraction at this campground as it provides a central base for exploring Yellowstone National Park. The only utilities offered in the current season were water and sewer due to work on the electrical system. The ban on generator use was in force in spite of the lack of electric. Sites are tight and close together on narrow interior roads. There is no AT&T phone or data service and no WiFi available at the campground.

This park provides good utilities, laundry and WiFi. AT&T phone and data service were very poor. Access and setup were easy with most sites being level pull-throughs. Sites are wide enough for slide outs but may require parallel parking of tow or towed vehicle along the park's interior roads. The park functions better as a stopover than a destination and provides little reason to linger.

This is a well kept and friendly campground convenient to the Bighorn National Forest. Sites are laid out well for easy access, spaciousness and vegetation. Deer and wild turkey wandered through our quiet campsite. AT&T phone service was good. AT&T data service was poor but the WiFi provided by the campground worked well. Shower, laundry and pool were clean. We would stay here again. The price was based on the weekly rate.

We stayed here during a quiet part of the summer so the campground was largely unoccupied. If full there would be a lack of privacy as many of the hookups are side by side. Interior roads and sites are firmly graveled and some can easily accommodate big rigs. Many trees are scattered throughout and the Red Water River runs along a portion of the grounds. Utilities are good but the camp’s Wi-Fi is slow (sometimes nonexistent). AT&T air card service is slow and spotty. AT&T phone service does not work at all. Our rate was based on Passport America.

rating [ 7/10 ]
Good utilities, easy access from the interstate, friendly and welcoming host. This campground is a convenient place to take a break from the road. Most sites are fairly closely spaced with no vegetation in between so it lacks privacy but set-up was easy with good space to maneuver and nearly level gravel pull-through. There is some noise from a neighboring business that starts early in the morning. The pool looked inviting but the restrooms did not. The price we paid was with the Good Sam discount.

This campground offers a quiet setting on a wooded hillside. Some sites look as though leveling would be a challenge but the friendly hosts pay attention to your needs. The restrooms/showers are very clean and nicely set up with generous space and lots of hot water. AT&T cell phone and air card service are nonexistent; Wi-Fi signal is frequently slow with a lot of dropped connections. Electric and cable TV hookups are good but water pressure is very low. Our cost was based on the weekly rate.

The friendly management maintains an efficient organization. The grounds are well groomed with spacious sites, many of which have a generous amount of shade. Sites are grass and protected by some unusual rules: movement of picnic tables daily, tents moved every two days, mats limited to 4’x4’ and picked up at night. The campground is surrounded on three sides by the Root River and is very near the popular 60-mile paved Root River Trail. Outfitting services are available with bikes, canoes, kayaks and tubes. Wi-Fi is only available in the immediate vicinity of the office. AT&T phone and air card service are completely absent. We would stay here again.

Meticulous maintenance and small artistic touches make this a very welcoming park. The owners are friendly and helpful. Trees and shrubs offer plenty of shade and some privacy between sites. The bathrooms and laundry room are very clean. A pool and small playground are available. Wi-Fi was good most of the time and outages appeared to be due to storms rather than park resources. Utilities were good. AT&T cell phone service was weak. Our price was based on the weekly rate. We look forward to staying again.

The campground is located a short stroll from Lake Michigan and is mostly wooded with a lot of undergrowth. The natural, wild feel of the park is noteworthy given its location and is not greatly disturbed by the occasional train or corporate jet noise. The camp hosts are friendly and helpful. The restrooms and showers are worn but serviceable clean. Electric, cell phone and air card (AT&T) are good.

This park offers full hook-ups, proximity to the northern Chicago metropolitan area and numerous activities. The pool was clean and well kept. Park has lake access, a nice beach with playground equipment. Roads are narrow and sites are tightly packed but some can be accessed by big rigs with care and patience. Most of the park is occupied by long term residents. There is a lot of tree cover, making satellite TV generally inaccessible but cell phone and aircard coverage was good (both AT&T). The resort provides facilities that are rare in northeastern Illinois. Our cost was based on the weekly rate plus electric.

rating [ 5/10 ]
This city-owned park offers sites with water and electric, many of which are seasonally or permanently occupied. The park is neat, clean and provides facilities for group and community activities. Some sites are accessed by a steep single lane road in poor condition that carries traffic in both directions, luckily there is little traffic on it. We would return to this park due to close proximity to family.
05/2010
rating [ 7/10 ]
Access to this park is tricky with a steep winding road. The park offers full utilities as well as primitive campsites. Electronic communications are limited; no Wi-Fi or cable TV, weak phone service and very weak aircard (AT&T). The park staff is friendly, the shower/restroom facilities are old but clean and the park itself is a beautiful, forested wilderness. Reservations are very useful at this popular park.

rating [ 8/10 ]
The dominant note at this park is cheerful competence. The staff is friendly and helpful. The grounds are well maintained and the facilities are clean and neat. Paved interior roads lead to spacious sites with concrete pads. A lot of amusements are available making this a good destination park for families.

Closely spaced sites and side-by-side hookups remove any sense of privacy. Traffic noise from I-29 was very significant. Staff was friendly and utilities were adequate.

This is a basic little park that provides a peaceful place to stay. The park consists of a grassy field with trees and fencing around the perimeter. Interior roads and sites are moderately gravel but were adequately solid in spite of spring rains. Only two sites have 50 amp service, and the water pressure was a little low but the wireless access was good. We would be happy to return.
