This is a very nice RV park. Each site is spacious and level with shade trees and a well kept grass area where you will find a barbeque and clean, sturdy picnic table. The entire park is very clean and well maintained. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. This park is a great place to stay as you explore Crater Lake and the nearby Lava beds and fishing spots. We look forward to staying here again when we visit Oregon next year.
This is a small RV park right on the highway with gravel sites that are very close together and don't have any shade. Very poorly laid out sites and there was a lot of dried sewage scattered in gravel around next site hookups which also is right where our front door opened requiring great care to avoid stepping in it. We would not recommend this park. We stayed one night because we were tired and didn't know that 20 minutes further down the road there was a much nicer park.
This is a campground on a large lake with lots of lush green grass and huge shade trees. The large shaded sites have electric only, but potable water is available at the free, easy access dump station near the entry/exit. Most sites have a picnic table with a fire pit and some have a wind shelter surrounding the table. The camp host was super nice and helpful. The restrooms/showers were very clean. There is a boat ramp, but it was closed for repairs. The lake side picnic areas are great for bird watching and fishing. This park is between St. Joseph and Kansas City and within four miles of many restaurants and a WalMart in Atchison, Kansas We camped here in a fifth wheel over the Labor Day weekend and will stay here again.
This is a great RV park owned and operated by a very friendly and helpful family. We were greeted at the quaint Route 66 historic motor court entry (look for the bright pink and turquoise trim on the building) by one of the owners and escorted to a shady, level grass and gravel pull-through site in the RV park behind it. The sites are large enough to accommodate several slide-outs and nearly all have mature shade trees. The free cable and WiFi are excellent. The restrooms/showers are small, but squeaky clean. They have a small, inexpensive laundry room that we had no problem finding empty and ready to use. There are plenty of places to eat nearby, some in walking distance and there is a Farmers Market on Saturday mornings in the city park next door. The owners provided lots of information about things to see in the area. We stayed for two weeks in a fifth wheel and will make it a point to stay here every time we pass through Tucumcari.
