Nice area to camp and close to the beach. We were rained on and switched sites a couple times due to huge puddles and the staff was very helpful. The sand dunes help break the wind some. We have camped here three times and will be going back for sure. The downside of this area is the seaweed which gets really bad at times.
Wonderful place to camp and spend a day on the lake. Depending on what part of the park you choose to camp in there are some very private sites to not so private sites. Sandy beach area is great if you do not bring your boat, it is not too far from the shore. There are multiple protected coves where you can tie a boat.
Beautiful camp area, sites are not too close together. Facilities include tables, vault toilet and fire rings there is no water. There are a lot of hiking trails right through the campground. No reservations are available.
