This RV Resort truly lives up to it's billing. Just plain WOW! You can believe all the hype. Real old-time Florida stuff. The town is just big enough to accommodate your needs, yet retains the Florida "cracker" appeal. A totally unspoiled beach, just as the Boss made it, is only minutes away. Maybe we should be quiet about TGO, lest it be "discovered".
We have stayed here before and will again. Great rural location, yet close to major shopping & easy access to I-75. Large, level, paved pull-throughs. Wide, residential quality streets. Friendly staff. This park doesn't disappoint; however, the Wi-Fi does. Having experienced Tengo Internet before, we find this setup consistent with their low quality service. Despite several hotspots, none gave strong signal, nor high speed. Our 3G was twice as fast. The sign-on process is convoluted, reminiscent of dealing with a banana republic government. They also want enough personal info to condemn the user to a future of incessant spam Hades. One can always hope...
The deciding factor in choosing this campground was their having an off-leash dog park. The park staff were among the best we've ever encountered. Facilities were all in good repair. Will definitely return.
An excellent overnight park when traveling I-85: will stay again. Sites are really close together. Suggest putting a wooden privacy fence up between the sites.
Overall nice place; however, we stayed during fishing tournaments. We won't again, it was packed. There is no night security to enforce campground policy. Drunken tent campers overloaded the site next to us & partied loudly until 1:30 A.M. They don't take reservations any longer, it is first come-first served only. We arrived 1 hour before check-in & were charged 1/2 day rental fee.
This is a fantastic park with large, private sites right on the lake.Level concrete pads with huge patios.Big bang for the buck.We spend many weekends there & will continue to do so.
