This is a very nice campground. Large sites, neatly kept, gravel roads and sites, and pretty level consider that this campground has been cut out of the side of a mountain. The only drawback is that the dog walk area is a long way away from the farthest camp sites and the gravel roads were tough on our dogs feet. We stayed in 47...very nice, private. This was a Deluxe site - not our first choice but it was a holiday weekend so it was packed. A little dark in the park at night, could use more lighting to be able to take dogs for walk before bed. Cable channels are limited and not as plentiful as the brochure would lead you to believe, but there were sufficient local stations and ESPN. Overall we would definitely stay here again...only not on a holiday weekend. The price was really high for our Sunday night stay $70+.

We have stayed at OMS twice and are planning to stay here again in November. Beautiful campground, clean shower houses, lots of shopping nearby, but still quiet and peaceful. The owners are very nice, staff excellent and always ready to help. Reservations are a breeze. We camp here with an RVing group and the staff treats us like family. Will definitely be back year after year.

Camped here on weekend after Labor Day and there were only a handful of other campers in the park. Mosquitos and black flies were OUTRAGEOUS! There had been a lot of rain, but the park could have reduced the mosquito problem by cutting the grass of the campsites. With such a low number of campers, the park had plenty of opportunity to keep the park cleaned up and mowed. Missed opportunity on their part. The full hookups were a disappointment because the water, electric and sewer hookups were so far apart. Cable hookups are a joke. Our antenna provided better reception than their cable hookup. Besides the fact that the channels you got with the cable TV (if you could have seen it) were channels that no one really cares about. No ESPN, no national network channels, etc. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very responsive when we called to tell them that some ignorant campers trashed the ladies room. They had the ladies room cleaned up in a flash. We made a call to the front office when we discovered that we were not going to be able to reach the sewer hook up. The service guy promised to return with a lid for an open pipe that could have been a danger, but he never came back. Overall way too expensive for what you get. We will not camp here again.

This was our second stay at Trap Pond. Stayed on B Loop, but would prefer to stay on D Loop. Our site had trees that prevented us from fully extending our awning. Bathrooms always clean. Park is very safe. Lots to do, but we prefer to do a whole lot of nothing when we camp. Full hookups would be nice, but definitely worth settling for W/E. Easter is a fun time to stay here as well as Halloween, but good luck getting in on Halloween weekend. Reservations need to be made in March.

Unfortunately there was a tremendous amount of rain on the night we checked in. Sites are VERY dense and shaded, coupled with the rain and wet weather meant there were bugs galore. Not just mosquito's but also yellow jackets and very large spiders. Dense forest also meant spotty TV reception. Bath house was as clean as could be expected with the wet sandy conditions of the sites and walking paths. Nice park. Would stay here again, but would probably chose early spring or fall.
