We tent camped here on the Pine Loop. This is a beautiful campground of Pinon-Juniper forest. Short walk to the free shuttle bus to visit sites around the park. Close to the market plaza where there is a general store and restaurant. Great location for seeing the sites at GC. We would camp here again.
Tent camped here for 1 night. Beautiful campground with easy 5 minute walk to the market, restaurant, etc., at Grant Grove Village and 15 minute walk down to the Grant Grove of sequoia. Clean restrooms with cold water only and no showers. I think showers are available at the village but we did not investigate. Near the Big Stump entrance to Kings Canyon NP. We would camp here again.
Managed to reserve a tent site here for 2 nights on recreation.gov about a week ahead of time. Clean restrooms with cold water only and no showers. Close to the entrance to Yosemite, about a 40 minute drive to Yosemite Valley. Lots of big big trees and not too dusty. Only complaint is nearest store is a 20-minute drive to Crane Flat. We would stay here again.
We tent camped here for 1 night (2 adults and 4 kids). Tent site was nice grass with some sandy areas. Kids enjoyed the playground. Restrooms were clean, hot showers with tokens ($1 for 7 minutes of hot water). Only 2 complaints. People walking their dogs on the tent sites; and a giant overhead security light right in the middle of the tent sites. I don't understand why that is necessary. It is surely obnoxious to tent campers. Nice views of the Sierras. We would stay here again.
We camped here 1 night in our tent (2 adults and 4 kids) on our way through Arizona. We paid extra for the "super-tent" site, which had great privacy (fence and shrubs) and a shared shelter with sink. However, the super-tent site is very dusty and the regular tent sites appeared to be on grass. Would probably use a regular tent site next time. Kids loved the playground and pool. Also the cookout dinner and breakfast are excellent, good food and a good value.
