Many long term residents here in park models. The volunteers or employees were eager to let you know they are in charge--very cliquish with residents. Advertised a St Patrick's dinner but wouldn't let us in since we didn't have "prior reservations" even though there were fliers advertising the event. Internet was only available in the computer room, which had 2 older computers with one printer that was out of order for the 2 weeks we were there and was only open when the office was open. They charged us for TV and Internet even though we weren't able to get Internet unless we brought our laptop computer or bought a device to hook up to. Sites are all back in, gravel and uneven; we were not able to get level. Gates are locked at 10 PM and if you leave & forget your pass card there is no way to contact anyone for assistance for entrance. Pool was usually occupied with classes during mornings, and afternoons were too hot to swim. We will not stay here again.
Very nice first appearance. Sites are gravel and fairly level. Small trees at most sites with wooden picnic tables. Close to the next RV site. Young man at office front desk was extremely polite and very helpful. There is a shuttle for getting to restaurants and shows, but no place to eat on-site. Pool is small but clean. Rental cars are close, taxis are expensive. One laundry room at far end of units. We would stay here again.
Very few RV campgrounds in this area to choose from therefore we stayed here for 5 days out of necessity. Many regular residents and several motorcycles. Rain turned their dirt roads into mud. Used the ladies room once and that was one time too many. It was unclean, unkempt, spiders in all 3 shower stalls, bugs and everywhere inside. Screen doors front and back with no way of preventing unauthorized entry. One bar of used soap and shower water was scalding hot!. No way to get colder water to make it lukewarm. No internet & sporadic satellite TV with bad reception. Spoke to manager the one day she was there about the run down appearance & she replied it takes money to do that. This place needs more than soap, water and paint. A total renovation would be a start.
