Well maintained, large, secure RV park with a mixture of park models and RV's. During the summer the park is for the most part empty. While I was here over the weekend there were about a dozen travelers for the entire place, not including the full timers. The park is gated with a secure access code that can be used 24/7. The park is satellite friendly as you have a wide open sky, however the cable feed was excellent so I didn't bother. Note you will need an adapter to connect. WiFi was excellent as well as cellular internet connection availability, I was able to work all day without issue. The roads were easily accessible by any big rig vehicle. Grounds were well maintained, rangers were always present and the park was generally very clean. The pool appeared decent and they have a ton of shuffleboard courts. This is primarily a snowbird park during the winter months. There are a few negatives for this park. The rates during the winter are high and the discounts for weekly and monthly rates during the summer were only one and two dollars per day respectfully. The sites also were somewhat tight for those with larger rigs in the interior pull through section and I did have to dig out a board to level the rig, though smaller travel trailers or motor homes should be fine. A majority of the sections for the RV's have very little shade which can be a concern for those staying here during the summer months. This is not would I would consider a destination park but is nice for those looking for long term or want to explore the surrounding area.

Skidaway Island is a great state park within easy driving distance of Savannah and Tybee Island. The park is heavily wooded with large clean sites with each containing a sanded tent platform, picnic table, and fire ring. Selecting sites at this park is first come first serve. Your reservation only guarantees you'll get a site. We arrived on a Saturday around 2pm during the month of April and only had to drive around a few times till we found a site that would accommodate our rig which is 32 feet. All of the sites would accommodate smaller rigs in the 20 foot range however larger rigs in the 40 foot range would be well advised to arrive early. There is no sewer at the sites but a dump station is available. A portable holding tank is useful if you're going to be at the park more than a few days. Electricity was constant and without surges. The swimming pool was closed during our visit as others have mentioned. The park contains several excellent nature trails and a bike path is nearby. The rate indicated was the senior rate as we had one in our party for this trip. The only negative we found with this park is the lack of sewer connections at the site but for the price our expectations were exceeded. We will definitely be going back to this park the next time we visit the area.

We found this county park to be an excellent addition to our list of RV parks we want to come back too. With shady sites and friendly staff it's hard to beat $30 a night for full hook ups with 50 amp service, water, sewer, cable and free Wi-Fi. Pull through sites were very large and would accommodate any rig easily. Navigation around the park was passable with no branches to get in your way. Road noise from 95 was minimal and could only barely be heard during the dead quiet of night. Only negatives were the pull through site we had was dirt, loose packed sand that kept getting into the RV and the cable was fuzzy, barely watchable. The positive aspects of this park would make me easily forget the negatives.
