This park has everything a family needs: pool, playground, activities, pet park, big rig access, Wi-Fi, cable TV. Pleasant and helpful staff. Very clean . Fire pits raised from ground and secure; they have a grill attached. Grove City outlets are close by. We would definitely camp here again.
This campground has large sites and is very shaded. There is no pool, no cable, no activities, no camp store, and no Wi-Fi. The lady who checked us in was very unfriendly. This campground is probably best as a stopover for sightseeing in Frankenmuth, but it has nothing to offer for families. We would not return to this campground.
We absolutely loved this park. There are activities planned every day...line dancing, sewing, bingo, barbecues, ladies/men luncheons, movie night. We haven't met an unfriendly person yet. Most sites are big rig-friendly and there are palm trees on most of the lots. Fogging is done three times a week to keep the no-see-ums under control. The pool is big, well-maintained, 3 to 6 feet in depth and has a whirlpool area. The park had a Mardi Gras dessert buffet (no charge), ice cream floats and sundaes ($1-2), barbecues ($3),campfire with snores, and breakfast for supper. . The staff always greet people with a smile. It is impossible to say anything but that this is certainly a 5/5 star resort.10% discount for Good Sam Club or AAA.
We have stayed at this campground for 5 years. The woodsy setting is nice and the campground is close to Ocean City NJ. It is not suitable for large rigs. There are so many trees and the roads are narrow, so it is very hard to back in. There are no pull-in sites available. The pool is Olympic size and well-kept. The downside is that the owners open the pool to the public so it is pretty crowded most days. The owners are not friendly and the office manager is very abrupt and arrogant. We could not get out of our site when leaving because of the trees, so we were 10 minutes late for checkout. The manager would not give us the free nights we had earned until we persisted. If you have a small camper, it would be easier to back in. The activities are held on weekends only, but there is a great arts and crafts program on Thursdays and Saturdays. I would not return to this campground because of the changes that have occurred in management.
This campground is just wonderful. The sites are wooded and well-landscaped. There are activities on the weekend such as bingo, ice cream, night swimming, dances. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. We have been coming here for three years, and this year we are staying until August. The roads are a little tight, but we were able to put our 43 foot MH in our site with no problem. This is an excellent place for children because of the playground, pool, bike riding areas, and arts and crafts building.
I like this park for its location. A lot of the sites were not ready for campers and much of the park was still being worked on. We didn't feel real welcome when we checked in. Usually KOA front desk is very friendly, but we were just told that we had to pay extra for coming in an hour early. The location of this park is perfect for sightseeing and shopping. Hopefully the front desk will work on their people skills
We camped here overnight in a 43 foot 2006 MH. We were not able to level our rig on the site, no matter what we tried. The girl in the office was on the phone and seemed too busy to answer our questions. We were told twice that wireless was available but we could not connect. They are in the process of renovating their store/reception area. Good for an overnight stay.
Beautiful park with a few sites on the harbor. Good paved roads and lovely landscaping and paved sites. A majority of the sites are owned, but rented to transients. Wireless was only available at the office but we were told the whole park will be wireless this Spring. The office staff were courteous and hospitable towards everyone who came in. The sites are easy to maneuver a large rig into; however, the main entrance into the park is a little tight. There is a restaurant on location, but it is fairly expensive. Many of the sites being renovated, especially those with dock access. The playground and pool areas are well-maintained, but I don't believe there are any planned activities for families. Hilton Head Island, however, has so much to offer for any age group. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed overnight at this campground. The manager on duty was extremely helpful. Large pull-throughs in the lower level do not have sewer but there are sewer sites. Cable is a bit limited, but satellite does work. The grounds were well-maintained considering the winter temperatures and weather, but we experienced no problems. There are no concrete pads, but lower sites accommodated our 43 foot MH comfortably. Could not get any wireless, but if close to the office, it would be available. The pool, playground, and lake areas are very attractive.Lakes sites all have little decks, one has a gazebo. This would be a great spring/fall/summer campground for families. Manager created a booklet for campers which contained much needed information. We would camp there again, but in warmer weather.
Great campground. We stayed overnight on our way to Florida and were treated very hospitably. The sites were large enough for our 43 foot MH and well-maintained. The camp store was well-stocked, and the workers were so friendly and helpful. The owners themselves are on site and were available if needed. The villas in the rear of the campground are beautiful, and the lake and pool areas are very attractive. Many stores and restaurants nearby as well as easy on/off access. We would definitely stay here again and would like to visit in the summer.
This is one of the best RV parks we visited. The concrete sites are large and well-landscaped. Paved roads throughout , immaculate grounds and laundry/showers. There are scheduled activities..bingo, pancake breakfast, hot dog roasts, dances, water aerobics, game nights. The guests are all so friendly, and because they are maintaining a true RV resort without ownership, you don't deal with the elitism of some RV resorts .The area around the park has many areas to shop and dine. We will definitely stay there again and recommend it highly.
Our site 1551 was spacious enough for our 43 foot MH. It was very easy to maneuver our rig through the roads, although the entrance is steep. The CG is beautifully landscaped and everything seems to be well-maintained. We were not able to enjoy the facilities because of the time of year, but there are two huge pools, miniature golf, a fitness center, pavilions, and a well-equipped store. The office staff was extremely helpful. The area itself is full of attractions, Dutch Wonderland, Lancaster, Shady Maple Smorgasbord, as well as gorgeous pristine countryside. This is definitely a place we will return to. Our rate was low because of the time of year we visited, but in the high season, rates are over $50. The water was being turned off on November 6th, so we had to leave early that morning. However, the staff informed us of this before our arrival.
Great place for short stays. Sites are a little close but easy in/ out. There is a store and small snack bar, which was not opened during our stay. Beautiful scenery, waterfalls, stream, trees, pond, and lovely walking paths. Met some of the nicest people here including the staff. We had good cable and wireless connection.Only problem that we encountered was a mix up in our need for a 50 amp site. We managed however, fortunately not needing air conditioning at this time of year. Would highly recommend this campground.
Stayed here for three nights while visiting Biltmore Estates. Spacious sites, full hookups, friendly staff. Our family stayed in one of the apartments which was very clean and accommodating. Great cable TV and wireless service. The grounds are attractive and there are many park models. There is evidence of construction which I am sure will lead to many improvements. There is also a new levee being built behind the campground. There is a Cracker Barrel very near by, as well as gas stations with diesel pumps. Would highly recommend this park to those of us with big rigs..ours is 43 feet with four slides.I would have given it a 10 if the construction was not so visible, but that is not a deterrent since it is meant for improvement.
We decided to come back to Yogi on the Creek because we do love this campground. Since our return, we noticed that the unsightly weeds on a former site were removed. We are now in a back in site with a 43 foot Motorhome with no problems. So far we have been pleased; the activities are well-planned ( pig roast, band, hayrides ) and the workers seem to enjoy doing their jobs. The play area is great for children, and there is a snack bar opened during season. Sites are well-spaced and there are many walking trails. We have never had a problem with rowdy campers during our stays. Most of the people are very friendly and it's nice to see children having a place to play safely.
A wonderful place for anyone. Our site was clean and the workers rake and clean all sites as soon they become vacant. The pool is very large, only goes to 6 feet which is fine for us. Lifeguard on duty and water was nice and warm. Many seasonal sites, a great playground, well-equipped campstore, SUPERIOR arts and crafts program with a teacher who is ever so patient, friendly staff who did whatever they could to accommodate us. We are returning this week with a new motor home 43' and know our site will be acceptable for the size. Cable TV is very clear and there is a hotspot near the store for wireless internet. Laundromat clean and showers were well-kept considering the number of campers this past weekend. The sites are not tight at all, so there is never the feeling of being closed in. Whipoorwill seems to attract a very considerate, friendly type of camper and this was much appreciated. We will definitely return there next summer. Don't forget to buy a Whipoorwill coffee mug for $5. This entitles you to free coffee for your stay. I have to applaud the young workers at the campground. They were so polite and friendly and exceptionally hard-working no matter what their duties were. We camped here in a fifth wheel for a week and will return with a motorhome this week.
Very nice staff who were helpful at all times. The park is beautiful and has quite a few permanent sites. There were activities daily and the winter residents were friendly. The rec hall and store/office were well-maintained and the pool was lovely. Our site was too tight for us because there was a motor home next to us which hindered our view. The permanent sites and those on the outer perimeter seemed larger and would be preferable. We would stay there again but need a larger site. I think it would have helped if we had made our reservation sooner.
A campground we enjoyed last year. The sites by the creek are beautiful but have no sewer hookup. It has a very nice play area for kids and the snack bar/pool area is well-maintained. I found a few of the office staff to be unfriendly and they did not respond in a professional manner to a problem we had with our site...high weeds and snakes. We booked for two months in the spring, as well as three months in the fall, but cancelled all reservations because of this attitude. It is sad, because we truly enjoyed Shangrila last season 2005. The maintenance staff kept the showers and restrooms spotless. Great place for children because of the extensive play area.
