Nice Clean Park. Staff was friendly. Shuttle bus is $6 per adult to Niagara Falls. Bath house was clean. We had a pull thru/full hook up site with concrete patio pad. Lots of room. No complaints. Would stay here again.
Park is very clean and the staff is friendly. We had site #48. Sites are very close together!! All are gravel with a little grass in between. Lots of trees so there is no satellite reception. But we got a few channels with the antenna. Campground also offers free WiFi! Bathhouse was clean as well as the laundry facilities. Pool was nice and they had baggo and ladder golf set up all for the kids. Store was well stocked. Campground also offers a free shuttle to the Island Ferry. Good location, good people. We would return!!
This is a very nice, quiet & clean park. The Casino & Hotel is about 1/2 mile walk. This is a very secure area and security is all over the place. We walked to the Casino several times. There is a free shuttle service if you didn't want to walk. The campground has a nice view of the Arch. I would agree with other reviewers that it can be difficult to find. You just have to pay attention to the road signs. We had a 70' pull thru site (#603). The hook ups are towards the end of the site. You made need extra sewer & water hose depending on how far you pull in. Site was level. Cable TV is great with 21 channels. Wi-Fi is a little different. You need to go to the hotel with your computer and get a box that hooks into your laptop. It must be used in the hotel. They said it didn't work in the campground, but I didn't try. There is a $50 deposit for the box and you can hold onto it for your entire stay. There is not too much, if anything, for kids to do here. It seems that it is more of an adult park. The rate reflects a Good Sam discount. The staff is very friendly. We would camp here again.
This campground is perfect. The office staff is very friendly and helpful. They are very trusting and work on the honor system for ice and firewood when the office is closed. Our sites (#8 & #10) were level, and most sites are paved. Cable TV is included with 75 channels available. Satellite TV would be impossible to get from our site due to the trees. There is a heated pool, hot-tub and a 1'0" deep kids-pool area. Bathhouse was very clean: they close it from noon-2pm for cleaning everyday. Price listed above was with a Good Sam discount. Regular price was $54 per night for a full hook-up site. I can't say enough good things about Twin Creek!!!
Park is located off of I-24 and most sites have a great view. We had a Premium Site with plenty of room. Bathhouse is clean and looks to have been recently remodeled. The pool was very nice and comfortably warm. The office staff isn't the friendliest, but helpful. There is a batting cage, arcade and Go-Carts. This is listed as a Good Sam park on the Good Sam website, but the park does not honor the Good Sam discount. When we checked in I informed them that we were Good Sam members and he said that he issued the discount. I looked at the receipt when I got to the site and realized we payed the $30 rate w/o a discount. I went back to the office and asked another employee and I was told that they had a falling out with Good Sam and they do not offer a discount for your membership. We are staying here for 4 nights so the Good Sam discount would have been $12.00. Raccoon Mountain RV Park does not list the Good Sam discount on their website, so guess I should not have assumed.
The park is very clean and kid friendly. There are a lot of activities to keep everyone occupied. We had 2 large sites (806 & 805). They were very deep and wide and were great for our 38' Motorhomes. Wi-fi worked well. The store was well stocked. Bathhouses were clean. The office staff was not very friendly. Everything at this campground is EXTRA. If you did research on their website, you can see that there is a charge for everything. They best way to go is to buy the wristband ($25.00) for the kids. It was the best value. Somethings are still extra, but the $25 is worth it. The reason for the 8 out of 10 is the numbrt of rules. This place is loaded with them. The couple we were with brought their Gator (6 wheeler). We used it once and were told that we couldn't use it by a staff member. We asked why and were told that "he didn't make the rules, just enforced them." I am not sure how our gator is different then a 4 wheeler, a scooter, a dirt bike or a golf cart that were on the road way. If they have rules, they need to be for everyone. We were not out joy riding. We took a trip down the street to the store on site for some firewood (supporting them instead of buying it outside the campground). Overall, this is a very nice place. I don't think we would return, just because everything is an extra and it starts to really add up.
The staff at the park is very friendly. The park was also very clean. The playground worked out great for the kids. They had a Parent/Child Bag Tournament and other activities planned. We had heard that the park sometimes takes on some water since its located on the Kishwaukee River so we called ahead to make sure our sites (40 & 41) were ok. We were told everything was dry. We arrived at our site and had to drive through large puddles to get into place and the ground was very soft and saturated. We dealt with it. On Saturday afternoon, the river started to rise and our sites started taking on even more water and the road in front of our site had standing water. I went to the office and let them know the situation. Rose was very helpful and relocated us to higher ground. We left for the afternoon and when we returned about 5 hours later, our old spot was completely under water and the roads were blocked off. Our new spot was nice, and backed up to the park (sites 14 & 15). Around 10pm the water was heading towards us again. We had been told the river had crested, but the water was still rising. The security guards & park personnel were great. They let us know we could move to higher ground and that they would be issuing free weekend stays for all of the trouble. We elected not to move to higher ground and stuck it out. When we woke up at 5am on Sunday, we had about 7" of water all around us. We were on a gravel spot so we had no trouble getting out. The reason for the 7 out of 10 is that the park knows that when they get this much rain, these things happen at this park. We packed up once and it would have been nice to move to higher ground (not in danger of flooding) the 1st time. It is a very quiet park and I would definitely go back. Just on a weekend when its not raining!!
The park was very clean and quiet. Updated bathroom /shower house was clean. There is some shade at some of the sites. Nice concrete patio at our site (#7). They are in the process of installing tennis and basketball courts. Nice size lakes for fishing. Good size bluegill. Staff was friendly.
