This place could be really nice! We had fun with a boat rental and enjoyed the ice cream at the park store. The down side is the many tents that pitch right next to your RV. It seems like way too many tents are allowed to be on any given site. The park security drove right past our neighbors who were screaming and yelling and partying until the wee hours of the a.m. The security were there, but did not do a thing for the noise that was going on until after midnight. When I approached one at the store the next day to tell him about it, he just smirked at me and nodded his head. What a jerk.
We love this place and have stayed here more than once. This park is in a great location - very convenient to amenities of South Lake Tahoe. Ice cream socials, crafts and fun for kids, people in the office are nice and friendly. My only complaint is that park management disappears after hours so no one is around to enforce "quiet time". After dark, large groups of teens converge upon the play areas and get really loud and rowdy. No one is around to tell them to be quiet. We have small kids and like to be next to the playground, but after dark it gets very loud and we wish we were somewhere else! Just don't get a site right next to the playground area and you'll be fine.
Very nice clean park, paved roads, grass between sites, clean pool, shady, nice people run the place. It was our first time out in our motorhome and it was a pleasant experience for our first time! We will be back!
This park is right on the Yuba River and has beautiful views. The people that run it are really nice. My only criticism of the place is the dog excrement all over the place. I've been to this place twice and had to scoop it off of our site, and adjoining sites before we even get our slides out. The flies and the stench is bad. Park management need to install dog waste collection bag dispensers to encourage their patrons to pick up after their pets. Additionally, the rule of pets on a leash is ignored and park management do nothing about it. It's scary to walk your small dog on a leash with large dogs charging at you. The good news is that there are garbage cans at each site and it is picked up daily. We will be back.l I hope they start enforcing the pet policies!
We stayed in this park over Mother's Day in May 2007. The park management were nice enough, and overall the park was clean and shady. I gave it only a 5 rating because the trash dumpsters were overflowing all weekend and the bathroom wasn't cleaned for the 2 days we were there.
The park is sparkling clean, not a piece of trash to be seen, no dog droppings, spotless bathrooms/showers, fabulous pool and spa area, and great food at the on-site restaurant! This is an RV park in an urban setting, but it's extremely quiet, close to, but does not back up to the freeway and it beautiful. I highly recommend it to any Northern California travelers who need a stop over on their way south. Park management so very friendly. We will be back soon!
