This is a great park! We stayed here for just one night, but because it is close to home we plan to come here again and spend some time in the area. The service was excellent and the space could not have been better. You can hook-up on either side - we had a pull-through - nice and level and able to stay hooked up to the truck. Easy in and easy out. Far enough off the highway that noise was not an issue. Clean and pristine. They really take excellent care of this park. We will stay here again. Perfect!

This park was just out of town, quiet, and clean. The owners really take great care of this place. If we come to Amarillo again, we will surely stay here again.

Nice spaces and easy to park the RV. Bathrooms on the beach were is serious need of repair. Others were in good working order. Staff was great, and gladly refunded our last night since we left early. The only downfall was that you can not see the water from these sites, however you can hear the waves crashing. Beach was practically empty and we had it pretty much to ourselves. We would come back if ever in the area again.

We love this park! The spaces are large and it is easy to get in and out of. The scenery is beautiful and it is very relaxing. Low humidity and fewer bugs than the metroplex. Fabulous chicken fried steak at the Depot Restaurant in town.

The owners seemed nice enough over the phone, however seemed to be irritated with us when we tried to park in our assigned space and could not get in. Almost all long term residents here and the spaces are so close together that they have to park their cars in the road. Real tight spaces to maneuver. Pool was nice, but spa was not working. OK for one night.

We made a reservation at this park when our air conditioner at home went out. The owner was very nice and took my reservation over the phone. She arranged to have all info in the overnight box as we knew we would not arrive till about 11pm. I was please to see that she had included a map with arrows drawn to show how to reach our site. Very helpful since we were arriving in the dark. Many long term campers here, but all show pride in their clean and decorated spaces. We would camp here again.

This was a nice park with the beach within decent walking distance. Note:, you can not see the beach from the sites. It had rained a lot before and during our stay. Our site was about 2 inches under water, until it had a chance to dry out. Therefore, I suggest staying in Heron Court instead of Spoonbill. I noticed the sites in the Heron area were not under water like we were. They are also spaced better. Beach was nice and not very crowded. Staff was helpful and suggested a great seafood buffet, "Windswept", which was amazing! Bring bug spray, mosquitoes were in abundance. Overall, this was a nice park and we enjoyed our stay.

We stayed here two different nights as a stop-over. The first night we stayed in the Hackberry area. This is good if you want some trees and shade, but it blocks any view of the canyon. Also, we were assigned a pull-thru and found it hard to maneuver our 31 foot trailer into. I would suggest a back-in in this area if you have a longer rig. The second stay we were in the Mesquite area. This is the place to be if you want a view! Beware, there is not much shade and in the summer it is hot! But the canyon is amazing to look at. The only downfall to this park was the low voltage. Make sure you have a voltage meter and a booster would be helpful.

This is the best park to stay at if you are interested in hiking the San Juan National Forest and the Weiminuche Wilderness. The entry point for this area is within walking distance of the park. The facilities were clean (bathrooms, laundry, sites) and they offer curbside trash pick-up. No walking to the dumpster! Everyone was real friendly. We would stay here again.

This park was great due to it's proximity to Tyler and the sites we went to see. The people were friendly and they were very cooperative as we arrived early and stayed late. The nightly rate could not be beat! The grounds were clean and freshly mowed. We were very pleased.

I give this park a "10" because of the terrific staff and the beautiful grounds. I made a mistake and reserved the wrong night. The staff was so accommodating and did everything to get us in a great site regardless of my error. The resort is beautiful and our site had trees and plenty of space. The grounds were well kept and clean. We will camp here again.
